Boarded the magic yesterday got a # 2 boarding card! Inside stateroom this time not to bad since we are not in here much. Added on points at Bay lake towers they had great incentives. Disboard meet at studio sea. Something we might want to considering setting up since it is bigger and more private then the lounge.

Lissa - have a great time -- good idea about Studio Sea - was it just open or did y'all have to ask someone about meeting in there? We just did an add on at Grand Californian :)

Is it just me or are there no excursions to look at yet? Seems we always had some to look at to put on our wish list.

It seems like for the Med in 2007 that it was quite a while before the excursions came out to start looking at them.

Well, one year from today we will be getting off a plane at Heathrow!!!! woohoo!!! :yay: A month away from booking hotel and air!!! Is anyone starting to get excited as we approach the less than one year to go countdown?

We are excited here in Warnemünde, too! I think we are the only ones here who have ever been on a Disney cruise...and while we have ships sailing in and out of here every day, it is going to be an exciting and proud moment to see Disney's beautiful ship sail through the Moles!

I figured out what I want to do for our Fish Extender gifts! And no, I'm not gonna tell - but I saw the idea in the Martha Stewart Living magazine. And I have plenty of time to get it together!

Well... I got my 5 night stay in London on Marriott points and some air miles transferred over to my United Account. Now, I just have to wait until 330 days out to book the air. I'm so excited as this is gonna save us a bundle as we will buy two plane tickets on points and pay for the other 2 with cash. The pre-hotel stay on the cruise is gonna be free.

I haven't heard car service that I e-mailed. I guess, they don't want my business. Anybody else hiring a car for the transportation?

Tina

We will be using car transport. Thought about using the train from London to Dover, but with the bags.. maybe not.. :rotfl:

Started looking for companies to take us from Heathrow to the hotel, then to Dover and back to Heathrow. Still reading reviews of companies.

Hi fellow Northern Europe cruisers...

Called the DCL this morning... Inquired about the ground transfers... DCL is unsure whether they will transfer from Heathrow or Gatwick but the thinking is Gatwick.

We want to use a car transport as well. I have just started reviewing hotels in Dover. We're going to go to Dover the day before and do the day after in London. We have enough Marriott points for one night in London-need to figure out which one. The Ramada in Dover was 96 pounds, but any of you guys heard of the Burlington Hotel? It's about 7 miles from Dover and would only be $57.62 for one night via laterooms.com. I need to research both. I booked the Ramada just in case. I can cancel that 48 hours prior to arrival.

Please keep me informed on any car transportation research.

Thanks-
Judy

Hello Everybody-

Last couple of days have been busy. I got a couple of things accomplished. I managed to book the Renaissance Chancery with Amex points for 7/4/10. (Can't book the day after with points for another week yet) The next day we were planning on going to Dover. I had found a Ramada for 96 pounds, and reserved that one for now. I had come across a site laterooms.com and found The Burlington Hotel in Folkestone which is supposedly around 7 miles from Dover. I have that one on hold so I can do more research on the hotel. I know it's only for one night. I have that reserved for a room that sleeps 3 for 35.20 pounds. I can cancel either up until the day before arrival with no penalty.

Anyone find good transportation options from London to Dover. I have gotten 3 prices quotes ranging between 160-175 pounds each way for 3 adults. The rail is starting to look good. For the 3 of us from London Vicotria station to Dover would be a total of 76.20 pounds. It takes about 1 hr 40 mins without having to make any changes. There is another station in London that offers that, but forgot which one. I still have to see how far the station is from the hotel. This was via southeastern railway.

Still can't book air yet. Anxious to hear what others have uncovered.

Well... I've tried to get ahold of these people as a previous poster suggested but I don't get a response: http://www.silverlinetravel.co.uk/airportTransfers.htm

Who have you contacted so far if you don't mind sharing your websites?

I wanted to hire a car service as we are flying out the day we dock for home. So, I didn't want to rely on the bus. I'm hoping to get on the United Flight that leaves at 3:20 pm. I'm hoping that gives us plentity of time.

I'm waiting on air as well.

Nice to get everything going on this trip. Now, maybe the price will go down.

Tina
