just so i've got this straight for planning...

the epcot 'special' FW r only on the 4th...not 2 days (3rd & 4th) as MK?
believe i'll try to WL for BW or BC

Yes, it seems that MK has the special fireworks on 2 nights, and Epcot only has the special ones on the 4th.

thanks i did call MS, agent sort of giggled when i asked for the BCV waitlist ...it could happen . Was surprised they still have 6/29 thru 7/1 studio available, all booked @ BWV for my dates too. Still a 1 BR there for 7/2 thru 7/4 jik anybody is on the fence

We are staying at SSR from July 1-5, then we are moving to Kidani from 5-11...This will be our first July 4th experience...

We plan to go to the fireworks display on July 3rd at MK...On July 4 we are planning a pool day, then going over to DHS for diner and fireworks...We may actually have time to get back to SSR for the DTD fireworks display...We will have to see...But that is the plan for now.

Yes! we will see you by the pool June 25th to july 7th same place!!! It is also our 1st official trip home! We always do July 4th it's alot more fun than some make it out to be. Yes it is crowded but it's a blast. The fireworks spoil you for any others you will see thereafter!!! only 114 days to go

We'll be at Kidani June 28th-July 5th also. We'll be at BCV the week before so we plan on doing the 2 resorts the first week that are within walking distance and enjoying SAB, then MK and AK for the 2nd week while enjoying the AKV pool. See you at the pool!

We will be at Kidani June 28 through July 3 and then off to Vero for the 4th.

We've already corresponded on TGM, Marv, but I'll post it here too. We'll be at POR for a day on 6/27, then move to Kidani from 6/28 to 7/5. Absolutely can't wait!

we will be there july 2-5 Concierge AKV and then july 5-11 at Kidani!! DTD for the 4th. the fireworks there are actually pretty cool. I was not there last year for the 4th, so I hope they are going to be doing them this year at DTD. They did have them in 2007 and the past years. Does anyone know??

Looks like there will be a lot of us at AK, either at Jambo or Kidani. Can't wait to get there. Hopefully I will get to meet all of you fellow DISboarders sometime that week. Maybe we can plan a DISmeet during the time we are all there.

Everyone else that is there at other resorts would be more than welcome also, or maybe somebody could put something together that is more centrally located. It is always good to put a face with the name.

We will! Originally, we were going 6/20-7/4, but had to move it since our kids had too many snow days from school. So, now we're doing a week off-site in Windsor Hill, then on 7/4 we're moving to OKW. Never done WH, never done OKW, never done 7/4--it's all new to us! But I tell you, it gets trickier as the kids get older.

I have no idea what we'll be doing that day. Maybe going to bed early to hit a park at rope drop the next day. I figure the parks will be packed, why not take it easy, settle in, and we'll probably have a park to ourselves on Sunday.

We were at OKW last year during our summer trip. That was our first stay there and we loved it! You might want to look through my trip report that is linked in my sig.

I certainly understand about it getting trickier to plan. We had a lot of activities to plan around for this trip. Of course, we only have a few more years before we will be wishing we had so much to plan around!

we went last year for the first time in all of our 30 years going!! Went to the Poly, sat on the beach for the fireworks, it was awesome. Get there early though, it gets crowded. But soooo worth it! My 22 year old DD couldn't stop thanking us for finally doing that holiday at Disney!

Yes, this is what we are planning to do for the MK fireworks on the third! Plans for DHS on the 4th to hopefully avoid the really bad crowds, although I know that will be relative.

Not this year but we were there last year. Had a great time even though it was crowded. Used Fast Passes and got to the parks early so we were able to do what we wanted. Also spent a lot of downtime away from the parks. Our big question was where to watch the 7/4 fireworks. The MK fireworks were supposed to be amazing but we chose DHS because fireworks there are rare. Found out after the fact that the MK show also went on 7/3. Me bad. Here is a pic of the hat that night.

We stayed at POFQ and the busses leaving took forever. We had a CM come by to tell us they were having trouble getting into the park because of traffic. When our bus finally came, the parking lot was jammed with people exiting. Oh well, that just meant we went to bed a little later than anticipated. Would have liked to be staying at home (BWV) so we could have just walked back.

There are alot of people ....Yes but if you've been to the parks before you can just do the EMH in the morning(we get all of Fantasyland done in no time) and FP alot of stuff. The kids pick their favorites so that's what we do 1st and then the rest is icing and no one is dissapointed. Plus we fit in alot more pool time which makes it more like vacation and the Fireworks ARE THE BEST! Have a safe trip!

Wow, you sound a little like us. When we went last July/August, it was between DS19 (July 20), DS16 (Aug 20), and My (Aug 20) birthdays, and DW and I had our 25th Anniversary on September 17. We were right in the middle of it all. It should be a great time to be at Disney to celebrate your anniv and daughter's birthday!

Let me know when you get your cash ressie settled and I will update the page one list.

I think usually DisMembers were lime green t shirts so they are easily spotted....
