Last sunday I was able to book Saratoga for 7/4-7/8 woo hoo. It was a last minute trip. I did the 4th of July last yr in Disney. Everyone should be forwarned their is MASSIVE traffic that night no matter where u go. It took our bus almost an 1 1/2hr to get from HS back to OKW.

What good news. Have a great time. We just returned from BCV a few days ago and I can tell you it was HOT. Temps in the mid 90's with the feel like temps over 100. Hope it cools off for everyone. If not, enjoy the pool.

Thanks everyone for helping us celebrate DS19's safe and timely arrival back home. Since 50s Prime Time is the one ADR he really wanted, and he would have missed it with his original return date, we will all get to enjoy it together now.

It is hard to believe that the first people on the list are only two days away from heading off on their trip. I hope everyone has a great time! The current forecast is for hot, hot, hot, so everyone please remember to stay hydrated even before you think you need it. Headaches and crankiness are probably sure signs you need to slow down and spend some time with us relaxing at the pool.

After her surgery, I'm sure DW will be even more inclined to stay around the resort and the pool with temps expected to be so high, so expect to see much more of us there. I'm sure DS's will still be getting every available opportunity for doing the parks, and DS19 will probably be wondering why we are complaining about the heat after just being in the Middle East. He already said RnR won't be worth the effort to ride after being catapulted off an aircraft carrier, but I'm sure he will "endure" the boring rides at Disney.

I have been having a hard time finding something suitable to use for a flag to identify us when we are at the pool, but I am going to try and get that done tonight so I can post a pic. Everyone keep an eye out for us since we will probably be there daily during the early afternoon.

It seems a lot of people will be avoiding the parks on the 4th, and I would really love to have a DIS meet that day at the gazebo at Kidani. Right now I think somewhere around 2:00 since we don't have park plans that day and will probably hit the pool area around 10:00 or 11:00. Haven't ever done anything like that, so if anyone has any suggestions or wants to help plan something that would be great. You can post something here or shoot me a PM.

I plan to bring our laptop on the trip, so I will be posting updates and any additional information probably on a daily basis. Hope to at least meet all of you at some point during our stay! Have a safe and great trip!

Well, the BuzznBelle family is going to pass on a 7/4 meet. That's the day we move from off-site to OKW, and DS3 won't get a nap. Trust me, you are going to thank us for not going! We're planning on a quiet day by the pool and an early bed time--the better to hit MK EMH the next day!

That said, we do have Boma reservations for later in the week, and hope to check out the new Kidani stuff while we're there. We'll definitely be keeping an eye out for fellow DIS-ers!

Staying at AKV from july 2-9. We always try to stay out of the parks on the 4th because they are max capacity. We will be going to DTD to see the fireworks and i hope they are good!

Are you sure they'll have fireworks at Downtown Disney? Pleasure Island has closed since last summer. If they are having them, we'll watch from OKW.

Okay, no luck on finding something suitable to create a unique flag for when we are out at the pool. However, since it IS July 4th celebration, I got two of the US flags on sticks that are 12x18. I plan to add some things below the flags (like LGMHs, etc.) and have them attached to the chair to make us easy to find. Hopefully there won't be a whole lot of people at the pool flying American flags and we will be easy enough to find!

Hi Marvali, we will be avoiding the parks but all day and evening on the 4th involved in our event over at CSR....US Open world karate championship. Hope you have a great meet

Yeah, it was very crazy for us also. All of the rain threw most of our plans into disarray too. We still had a great trip, but didn't get to meet nearly as many DIS Boarders as we had hoped to be fortunate enough to meet. Hope everyone had a great trip!
