Wimbleton, sounds educational!!! Seriously, what a great job you have over there, Lynn, the residential sounded really cool, too! Truly, doing those things with students is amazing.... :goodvibes ..........

We're headed for some thunderstorms over the next few days, wish us luck sailing out of Baltimore, Maryland! I'm psyched, we are leaving tomorrow for the Western Caribbean, my favorite cruise on our first RCCL!

Still, getting ready for next summer is too exciting! I'll report back in a week!

Enjoy your cruise!!! Let us know how RCCL is. Debating trying it in a couple years so that the kids have a few more activities.

Good luck with Wimbledon...taking a group of kids is such a neat opportunity for them and you! Enjoy!
How did England fare in the World Cup??? Saw US, a bit of Italy and then headed out to Iain['s bball game.

Good day to all!

England are through to the last 16 and play Equador, or Sunday !!!

Come on England !!!

Glad you have had good weather down in london Andrew, but can you send some up North!

We have had terrible gales and rain the last 2 days :guilty:

Oh well

Take care

Our freinds in the USA are out, lets hope ENGLAND plays better then they have done recently, we should do well, but thats they way England football alsways is we 'should' do far better than we actually do.
Lets see,

Whilst we had a little rain overnight, not enough to help and back to reasonable sunny weather today.

Heavens! Do I have to take a side? In all this?

Go 'Canes!
Oh wait - The Stanley Cup is over.

Ooooooh the Woooorld Cup. Silly me.

With all these fun folks from England on the cruise, I'm sorry but I've got to go along with the many good times I've had with my friends from Sao Paolo. For all my friends down south. Go Brazil!

AJ...ya gotta do what ya gotta do! I think the important thing is that we all have fun cheering for the fun of it!

So, who all has good weekend plans???
Our WICKED trip to Chicago got cancelled, due to our car. We were all okay with it...especially when DH took all kids golfing and then out for a Dairy Queen...large cones for all three kids...there were a couple of birdies!!!

So...whatcha all doing today and tomorrow!

THANK YOU

Its 4pm UK time today, its gonig to be very very hot.

Presume thats about 11am EST. So worth watching duringSunday Brunch!!

Got to say I am not a football supporter but if its the countrys team you have to support, what do you say, they won! They are through, they played a bit better than previous games.

Its like Wimbledon, it starts tommorrow here in London, I do not usually follow tennis but if its in London and anyone form our country is actually in I will watch if I can.

England play either Portugal or Holland next Saturday.

LynnTarrant,

I was going back through the thread from Christmas cruise 2005...and saw your name. I knew you were on this thread and thought to touch base. We didn't really know much about the Disboards back then. So...I guess I should say hello again and we will look forward to sailing with you again! Did you go to any of the auctions at Christmas???

Talk with you later
tif

No rain for months and the day Wimbledon starts every year rain starts, it came doen all day today, to solve our water shortage, keep Wimbledon going for a month or two until supplies are full again!

Football roll on Portugal on Saturday!

All can you wish us luck we need it!

No we didn't attend the auctions, I did spend some time watching Ducky Williamsbut then had to run off to brunch, glad you found the boards it's certainly added to the enjoyment of our last 3 cruises, we are just a couple and it's great to have some pals to hang out with in the evenings or just friendly faces to say hi to as you wander the ship.

Be great to catch up with you
Lynn

Don Ducky was one of our favorites!!! :thumbsup2 I loved his story...kind of wish he would put together a small book about it...along with several of his drawings. We got the Snow White and the Snow Prince painting that he auctioned. I look at it everyday and LOVE it and all it meant!

Do you do many of the speaker talks? We have done a few over the years. Ducky was our favorite so far.

If you remember Jason and Laura...the auctioneers...usually on deck four....they are getting married! August 12th! It is wonderfully exciting. They have been moved to land side of Park West and will only sail for special clients. Sounds so glamourous and exciting. Remember, play at home mom of three! Life is definitely not continental!

My Daughter has a talent for art, and she went to his talks and was inspired, i had missed the first but then made an effort to see it on the stateroom tv and go the the following ones.

She now can draw Characters very well, I though in the past I could draw a mickey, but no he is so good, and funny and inspired the kids.

Is funny when we were checking in at Los Angeles for the cruise, the CM checking us in, said looking at him, who he was and he travelled with DCL a lot and his shows were great, well I think she said AWESOME!!!

Your daughter will have to help us all on our character drawings!!!

We have been going non-stop over the last several days. Had what we now refer to as "The Incident" at an international golf tournament the kids play in. It was very scary and also unacceptable. Sometime we'll expound on it! Suffice it to say you have NEVER seen anything like this on a golf course...maybe in a hockey rink!

headed down to WDW tomorrow, so will be off the boards for a couple of days till we re-coup from the drive!

See y'all!

How awful. Why do I keep hearing about more and more of these incidents? Darn shame.

I hope the time in WDW makes up for it.
