It is nice to read your messages. It has been awhile since I have been on line. We recently lost our dear poodle to a sudden heart attack. It was so unexcted and she died in my dh's arms. It has been a heart breaking two weeks for us. If you are an animal lover I know you understand.

We are now putting all of our energy into planning our trip to WDW in August. Time will be our best healer.

Thanks for all the updates and welcome to the new cruisers.

I have not checked in for a while and I just wanted to say that I love the name that you all came up with.

I just wanted to send you my wishes. I have 3 dogs and I feel what you are going through.

WTG Tif & boys!! :thumbsup2

Yes, our name is really cool, thank Tif and Andrew for the idea!!! Summer has begun around here as we approach our year to cruise date!!Whhooppee!! :goodvibes

Sorry to hear of your news Harole Ann, not a animal person but of course we feel your pain.............take care!! :guilty:

Harole Ann,

So sorry about your loss. Our pets do become members of our family. Their unfailing belief in us can often be humbling. They always are in a good mood...well, usually! They sense when we are struggling and they love us through it.
Do focus on your upcoming trip...and have fun! Disney has that unique ability to suspend reality. Let them. It will help to heal the wound even though the loss remains. Sending you pixie dust and prayers for peace of mind and heart!

To everyone else...hope your weekend was wonderful!
Can you all believe we are closing in on just a year away??? That is so amazing to me! :yay:

Have a great night all!

Hi Harole Anne,

I am so sorry to hear about your poodle. I can relate. It's so sad. We lost our Maltese about 7 years ago and had him for only two years (went under my dh's tire). I could not belive how hard it hit all of us. We were devasted. We just recently purchased a new puppy (since my dd convinced me) and we have been trying so hard not to get too attached - but it's impossible.

Pixie Dust your way.

Harole Ann- Sorry to hear about your dog.

tif- Congratulations to your boys on a great golf outing!

Wow I thought I was only gone for a week!!!!
So sorry to hear about your poodle Harole Anne, we don't have dogs (allergies) our babies are bunnies and we are both devastated when one passes away.

Excellent golfing result Toms Pixie, well done boys.

Congratulations Andrew on your 1000 post.

Well I managed to bring all the little darlings safely home to their parents, we had a great time I always find our pupils easier to manage away from home!!!

However after abseiling, raft building, Kayaking and a host of other activities , I'm a very tired Headteacher....hope this week doesn't bring any surprises, for you Brits on the thread we're due an Ofsted visit!!!!

Mrs J how did the meeting with your new head go....treat her nicely she's probably more nervous than you all as the new kid on the block...LOL

Hi Lynn,

Glad you made it back in one piece!

Meeting with new head was very positive. She is Key satge one based and has an interest in creative arts - exactly what I would want. Im looking forward to meeting her properly and working for her in September!

I dont relish your job, I could never be a head. Do you have to sign all the reports for your school? Oh well nearly the end of term - hang in there ! ;)

:dogdance::dogdance::dogdance:

abseiling is like rock climbing but you go down the wall or rock face, so in our case we climbed up ladders in the climbing tower andthen were attached by ropes to our harness and walked down the wall backwards, once you are profiecent (Spelling - forgive me I'm so tired) you can bounce down!!
Glad your head wasn't an ogre.....I enjoy my job most of the time but I must admit reading and signing all the reports isn't a hilight!!!!

Thanks to all who sent wishes on the loss of our dog. I deeply appreciate your time to write. She has left a huge void in our lives as those of you with pets know can happen. It will take time to get over the quickness, but time will help and having two active grandsons to keep you busy with Disney plans is a big plus! Before our August trip it will be All-Star Little Leage Baseball so that will be a big time consumer--thank goodness!

You brave people and your rock climbing---not for me, but it does sound like fun!

Everyone have fun and be safe! I have a feeling this next year is going to fly past and we will be saying "Where did the time go?" :goodvibes

Abseiling is NOT for me!!! When I watch "The Amazing Race" the height challenges scare me the most..........do the Brits get that show by any chance?? :confused3

I LOVE SUMMER!! Around here that is when us teachers are out of work and I love it........it's the only time, I can get my incidental chores done! :happytv:

Abseiling!!! How cool that sounds!!! Me??? I would have a heart attack before starting down the wall. The kids...they would totally LOVE doing it! It has to be a huge stress reliever! That has always been shopping for me...but now have to put that on hold! Walking the golf courses I guess is going to have to be that reliever. Okay, that doesn't work as the kids have these up and down rounds!!! UGH!!!!!!!! I need a cruise!!!

I can cope with the abseiling, but the children also did a high ropes course and I stayed on terra firma for that....one of the elements was a telegraph pole which they climbed using wooden blocks fixed to the side and then stood on top!!!! Then they jumped for a small trapeze bar. Several of them managed the whole element and one of the girls was able to hook her legs over the bar and hang upside down!!! her new nicname in class Monkey Girl which she is very proud of LOL

WOW!!! It sounds like it is exciting! Our three kids would so partake in any of it. A few years ago they went to a diving camp. Abby at 11 and Iain at 9 both went off the 10M platform...like it was nothing! I was getting nauseaus just watching them climb the ladders up!

They have just three weeks to go until surfing camp! They are excited. Again, my fears are just below the surface...I am very shark phobic. Love being on the ocean...just not in it.

Well, hope all are having a wonderful day! Our golf tournament today got cancelled due to severe weather. It is nice to actually have a quiet morning! All we have to do this afternoon is a basketball game.

See ya!

Nice weather here in london today hot but a bit windy, most likley will rain next week, as Wimbledon starts and it always rains then.

Sorry USA are out of the world cup, (football you call it socca?)

Please pray for a sunny week 2 for Wimbledon as the school was lucky in the ballot and we are taking a group of 12 this year on the final Thursday.

Don't think I would do sharks watched jaws too often LOL
