I just wanted to add Congratulations to Andrew :cool1: :cool1: 1,000 posts and Happy 10th Birthday to Alec. :cool1:

I am not sure what I hate more, house cleaning or cooking

CONGRATULATIONS ANDREW!!! 1000 posts! That is so cool! Thanks for letting our little group be the one!

Anna...the cleaning house thing for me...I am just scared of my kitchen! Actually, I make a mean chili, coca cola ham, and taco pie...that the kids and dh love. Fill it in with pizza, chinese take out, spaghetti, a couple other staples and I am good to go!

Yes the only thing i didnt like about Sorrento and Roma was the drivers, they i am sure aim at you and expect you to run out of the way.
All countires have there bad drivers but it seems that they loose their tempers more.
I have found Americans generally a very nice drivers, dare I say driving is better than driving in London. London is a skill you acquire over a time, including our Grand Prix circuit called the M25.

But Italy please everyone take care next year.

Yes it was nice to get to 1,000 I post here and a bit on the main DCL threads and also on DIS UK., But wanted to post the 1,000 ( the grand as we would call it) here.

Now a rest!

Congrats, Andrew, it's a fun hobby! Thx for the Italy tips, we've never been to Europe, so we're really psyched! (Except for my oldest who was in a wedding in Bristol, 4 summers ago!) I'm planning on researching all our posts this summer...........keep those tips coming, I now need to acquire that book people were talking about several pages ago..............anyone remember what it was called? :goodvibes

Wow - walk away from a computer for a week and a ton happens.

Congrats Andrew on the 1000 post - and thanks for the info on the trains.

Thanks to the others for the info on travelling in the UK and Europe. We will certainly have to decide how to get to Cornwall.

Hmm - what do we do? Well we tell the kids, Dad makes the bugs, and Mom finds them. My hubby and I both work for a large computer software company currently ran by the devil. DH is a software developer and I work in software QA testing the product.

And if we start a poll on which we hate more, put me down for cleaning. I love to cook and leave all the cleaning for DH. He claims that when I cook there isn't a single dish I don't dirty. - Oh well - he likes the food and doesn't complain.

One of the book's that I picked up was the Rick Steve's Italy. Seems promising! Also, got "please" and "good afternoon" down...according to my CD from Fodors! The kids are cracking up at me driving along and repeating the words and phrases! One son tends to pick it up pretty easily though...so he may stop laughing...eventually!

See ya

Thx Tif!

So we have ..................teachers and techno types!! Anyone else out there??? Beautiful weather here on the east coast, how's the weather where you are???

Okay everyone...posted on this July's cruise as well...but needing all the Pixie Dust we can get!!!

Tomorrow and Sunday our boys are in a two day golf tournament. Our oldest son Iain has let one young man get into his head. If you could wish us a bit of PD to help him get out there and play his own game and have fun, we would really appreciate it! It is not a prominant tournament, but it is important to us...and it is the last year Iain can play in it. Alec, our youngest just needs to go out and have a great time. His game is in great shape right now!

Thanks all!

Same boat here. Wife manages the software. I build the hardware. Glad I don't test her stuff - what a funny bug triage that would make! ;)

Tif,

Lot's of Pixie Dust your way -

Good Luck to them and hope they have a great time playing.

does anyone else get to this thread when they receive email notifications and use the link?

Lately, it re-directs me to aol world wide web. More problems than that recently - not being able to post, server busy, does not load up or load up quickly, etc. just curious. :sad2:

I keep having lots of problems with the serves, its been quick this mornnig here in the UK but gets slower as the day goes on

HI there!

Here is a shot of my boys in their tournament. Iain started out lousy this morning, but seemed to pull it together. He shot a 36 for 9. Alec was very off and shot a 45. PD definitely helped Iain...now we need to keep the rain at bay till after their rounds tomorrow!

Thanks guys!

Will update you tomorrow! Thanks for all the PD! Iain is currently two shots back in second place and Alec is one shot back in second place!!!

Talk with you tomorrow.

We got our 9 in and had better rounds. Alec shot a 40 and Iain a 32. We are now waiting to see what the others have shot.

:cool1: :thumbsup2  :cheer2: :cheer2: :yay: :yay: :yay: :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :yay: :p :goodvibes :teeth:

Yes all...they pulled it out!! WHEW! Iain won by a full three strokes and Alec skated through with a one stroke lead! They celebrated their victory with grace and dignity. They were humble and made us proud. They also truly felt the Pixie Dust. Thank you all for thinking of us and wishing them well!

Happy Father's Day! Hope you have been able to enjoy the day and celebrate! That's what we are headed out to do!

Thanks all!
