Hi all,

The port photos are great thanks :thumbsup2

I am getting excited - time does seem to be moving faster. It wont be long until its 5 months and we get the brochures. I love it when DCL sends us letters (sad I know):rolleyes1

Today I paid £84 to BA for an extra bag - I can now have 2 cases:woohoo: - I was stressing over the oringinal 23kg pp.

Just wondering
Has any of the UK passengers got a European Health insurance card (The card that replaces the E111 form).
I completed the application online and it has only taken 3 days to arrive!:goodvibes

Oh well take care xx

Havent done the med card will do that later thanks for the link, I am on BA so will need to check that.

We also booked the Grand Marina on our own for pre and post cruise nights. Does anyone know if the terminal is in walking
distance of the hotel?

The Port Bus - from what I can tell - stops there at the Columbus memorial and will take you to Terminal C (where the Disney Magic will be). Not sure if it costs anything. Talking to friends that tried to walk it to the terminal said they were told it would take another 30 minutes when they got to the Columbus memorial (they were coming from city center), so they gave up and hailed a taxi. I'm not sure how you get across that bridge though if you are not in a vehicle. I'm also wondering if the Grand Marina will provide some kind of shuttle service, although that will probably cost. The taxi should be relatively cheap since its such a short distance.

Ok, what are you guys talking about:confused3 . I'm on British Air, if thats what BA stands for.

Hi Kyla,

1) BA - British airways have just announced "New simpler baggage policy -with major changes "
With this in mind we have announced a new simpler checked and excess baggage policy, which will come into effect on 13 February 2007.
see http://www.britishairways.com/travel/bgpolicy/public/en_gb#allowance for details.
You can now pre- book extra baggage and the cost is 30% cheaper on line I paid £42 per journey instead of £60.

2) European med card - European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
If you are a UK resident, you are entitled to medical treatment that becomes necessary, at reduced cost or sometimes free, when temporarily visiting a European Union (EU) country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland. Only treatment provided under the state scheme is covered. However, to obtain treatment you will need to take a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you.
That is the card I was refering too ;)

Cruise Ship / Port Calendar: http://www.cruisecal.info/portal/Ports/tabid/404/Default.aspx

Our most crowded port will be Naples:
  • 7:00 AM -- Voyager of the Seas
  • 8:00 AM -- Disney Magic
  • 1:00 PM -- Costa Europa

Thanks for the link! Trying to figure out what time we REALLY are going to be in port, though, is likely going to drive me insane: just for Naples, the cruisecal site has the Magic in port at 8:00am; the disney cruise website now says 7:30 am; and the confirmation I received on board says 6:30 am . . .

Mr Andrew - seems like I've heard that name before????:rolleyes1

Anyway, just popped over here to show my oldest the difference in boards. We too are on this cruise. Didn't put two and two together until tonight - Your on top of the ball - We're winging it - we 'ascared' of the flight and we're intimidated but we'll jump on the bandwagon soon enough!

Any hints you can toss our way?
