Self quoting again....these are the pictures I have in my photobucket....I do not have one of Tim....

Lisa..Too bad Carley is so young..... I would have arranged a blind date on the ship :rolleyes1 ;) :rolleyes1
but.... they would have to live here in NY :rotfl2:

HI Everyone... I'm not getting off this glow necklace thing.. here is a link to the Oriental Trading Website- it has all sorts of party items- I just want you to see what they are in case you dont know what Im talking about.
http://www.orientaltrading.com/appl...t=link.itemDetails&sku=24/8003&tabId=Everyday
If you have a discount store- they usually sell them there- if you have a Dollar Tree, they have them for 25 cents... It will be really easy, and so much fun, to spot each other at dinner or at the fountain, or on sail away night!... if you dont go along with this... I will be forced to suggest very bright, embarrassing tee shirts... dont let me go there.. and they will probably be part polyester... hot flash material for sure !!!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hi Jo
It's a shame you didn't join a couple of weekends ago, as for Mayday bank holiday we were at centre parks Whinfell Forest, very near you we could have meet and said hi.

Good morning everyone, first day of a holiday weekend and I was going to upload photos and post some here and print some off for scrapbooking and my hard drive has crashed!!!

I'm on my laptop now whilst husband tries to remedy the situation wish me luck!!!!

HI Lynn- I scrap too !!  I cant wait to do this trip- Ive already started getting papers and I am embellishing a journal so I can write about each days events.. Do you have scrapbooking stores and classes where you live.. I know it is very big in France

Yes Whinfell is just a few miles away, our niece works in the spa there, we sometimes go for the weekend when we can get a friends/family rate, too bad we came onto the boards too late for a meet up.
I'll try with the pirate thing but don't expect too much,i'm not the best at these things.
Just wondering if there were any children around the same age as the girls in our party, on the last disney cruise we couldn't get them to go to the kids clubs but if they made friends with someone first it would help, I would love to see them in the final show, ages are 11,9,4.

I went in the spa twice on our weekend we spent all afternoon friday there hubby and I and all afternoon sunday there adopted Daughter in law and I. Sheer Bliss, your niece is definitely someone to stay on the right side of;)

we don't have children but plentt of folk on this thread do I'm sure someone will have children of these ages.

I'm sure we can get these at a party shop near us we'd be happy to wear them once they've been started how long do they last ? Magic fountain to sailaway?

I'm a CM consultant and it has just started to become popular here in the UK. I now have 2or 3 stores quite local to me but it's harder to find classes.

Hi - Lots of kids from this thread alone !! They have their own thread, not too active, but they come on every now and then - have them post, and my daughter ( almost 13), will reply as well as the others :grouphug:

My youngest daughter will be 11 when we cruise...her birthday is 7-24. Her name is Gretchen and I talk about her a lot on this cruise. Show her picture to your daughter and see if she would like to "cyber" meet her before July!!

I love scrapbooking!

Have you seen the thread on the Disney Cruise Line Forum. There are some photos of pages and they look great. I have scrapbooks for our first and second cruises done (except the journalling.) I'm so bad at that.

Have you done digital scrapbooking? There just seems to be so many choices, I can't make up my mind and then don't get anything done. I do better when I'm limited to just what I have on hand.

Anyway what do you think of photgraphing our pages and either bringing them with us or posting them so we can see each others and get ideas? Let me know.

Sandra

Anyone see a thread started yet for trip reports for the May 26th cruise? I see the old Dis Meet thread but thought they might start something up for the trip reports.

Here is one - not sure if there is more than one: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1448391

I don't scrapbook - but my DD15 does - I picked up some cute things at Joannes the other day for her. I'll definitely send her to the cruise line thread. Thanks for the info.

Time to start checking on the first med cruise - hope we get lots of info and questions answered.

Disneylover, forgot to quote you, but I am jealous. I love going to the beach! Spent a week in Nags Head last summer - it's my kind of place!!

Sallie,

The glow necklaces are a good idea. I'm all for it, but I'm sure DH won't like it. I know he'll go with the flow. He is good about that (poor guy):lmao: .

I've never scapbooked. I'm just not very creative. I love to look at them though. It facinates me how artistic some people are. God missed me with any of the Arts :sad2:

I just found it a week ago.. now for sure my husband will never have another hot meal!

I just got the new Photoshop, but with this thread and working, I have not had time to play with it- although, from just a peek, its looks like you have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out !!! But I am going to try when school lets out.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I think posting would be great.. I would even have scrapped in the early morning on the boat, but too much to pack, and I dont think there will be time with the excursions and all- but it would have been great to sit with fellow scrappers and crop a little- I do love to journal, so I know I will keep up with that- dont forget to brong a notebook or a small journal.

I know what you mean, my husband goes with the flow, but just as long one of wears it for identification purposes, it will be fun!!

Thanks for the blogs.. I love them- I cant wait to hear about the first med posts!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Are we all supposed to get the same color glow neckaces? Please let me know. We have Ocean State Job Lot and they usually have the necklaces available. Oriental Trading is great but you have to buy lots of them and the shipping can be high.

Don't know if I'll get DH to wear one but we'll see.:)

 Lynn - :pixiedust: on the hard drive. I was the one that had the problems just before excursions booking. Had DH running around on the day of his poker tournament and we ended up getting both cable and DSL running. Good thing too because when it came time to book - DD's laptop froze and she jumped onboard the 'slow' one in the office and finished booking before I'd even finished with my bookings.

I had poor DH running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Poor guy - I really must do something for him - he is a true keeper!

HI Lynn- I scrap too !!

I'm really starting to feel like an outcast. :guilty:

My youngest daughter Gretchen will be 11 when we cruise...her birthday is 7-24.

Lisa - My birthday is 7/23 - just made the cut on the Leo part - now I understand your DD's drive. Its built-in. Never fear - she will always rise to the top! Us leos must stick together!

Probably too hard to post 52 times to get a pirate :confused3

My DD and I are getting ready to go to a wedding - her freshman year softball coach is "with child" and getting married. Not the order I'd choose for my DD, but sometimes these things happen, right?

So, by the time I get back it'll probably be pirates twice over, oy veh?!

Have a great rest of your Saturday.

Hi Jo

You need to understand the pirate thing as you have to help me keep up the Brits score while Helen and Andrew are awayif you look at the top righthand corner of any of the posts in the thread there is a number, this is the post number, if you make a post that is a round 100 or 1000 post ie 2400 or 3000 then you are awarded a pirate so the trick is to let others post the 98 99 posts and then time it right for the pirate post. Helens timing is impeccable as her tag says however mine is rubbish so I hope you can help.

No really, the Brits don't need anymore pirates!!:scared1:

Charmaine we have exactly the same experience, coming out to the States absolutely no problem at all, just stay up and have a long day then we drop straight into the US time zone no probs east or west coast, but coming home is a different story. The best time we had was flying out from NY really late 1:00am because of a flight delay so we were really tired to start with and we slept well on the plane so although we only got 5 hours sleep we did feel that we had had a night time and we just went to bed early the next night. the worst is the afternoon flights that mean you are not tired so you don't sleep on board and when you land it's 8am in the morning so you go 48hours without sleep or you nap and never seem to get caught up. Hope this helps someone

Thx for the tips.........we're doomed!!

Great concept......wearing the glo necklaces on Sailaway....let's do that!! Also, if we all can somehow post our pics before we depart, that would probably help too..................so our plan is.....wear glo necklaces on the Sailaway party and............post our pics in the next few weeks!!:dance3:

Let's go for lime green or yellow as our color............
