The only overnighters we do in our district is the senior trip to WDW! Also, the music program does week long festivals.....mostly we just do day trips!

Yes, our band and orchestra also does the WDW trip in high school- they perform there, but my daughter said there has been talk of canceling that too, with all the terror issues- I hope not- they have such a great time, and Im sure that is is one of the reasons Carley chose to take up cello although she is a few years from that!

Anyone who can get to the TV and is interested, Good Morning America is live from the Disney Wonder at Castaway Cay. It's on now and other than news and comercials it's all DCL.

On that map you are hotel 7, the Hotel Majestic, number 1 is near la Rambla and near my hotel, La Rambla has many names of roads it isnt just one. it Runs down from ''1'' to the port.

Alice is away four nights in Northern France, and will visit French schools, they have been allowed £10 a day (Euros 15) to spend.

Our DD just retruned from an outdoor camp in PA for her 3 day, 6th grade class trip. THey had a great time. But she is exhausted. Today at 4 is her family birthday party, I'm hoping she'll be awake by then. It is going to be chilly and rainy all day and we planned a cookout. Oh Well! We'll just have to cook out and eat in.

Okay you guys...this morning I woke up nervous......this is such a big trip and I have never travelled to Europe. This is my first trip in my lifetime where I need a passport.......

There are 19 of us together.....I am sure everything will be fine.....but if I am nervous now(7 weeks to go), what will it be like when we leave???

Alice did camp with the girl guides and came back exhausted, the leaders stayed up to the early hours talking so she couldnt sleep and after three days needed a long sleep in bed.

I glad your headache is a little better- I love your Father's Day gift- We got Jimmy some new clothes for the trip and a new BBQ.
The kittens are crazy-!! They are into everything and causing havoc-!! I dont quite remember the other two being this "bad" but it was 15 years ago, and I think each time I have a flash, more of my brain cells are fried- so my memory is going with the eyesight and body parts!!! am going to try snap a few pics of them since I am off today.
9 days 1 hour and I am a free teacher!!!!!!!! I cant wait!!!!!!!

We finish up with exams on the 19th and makeups are on the 20th. Luckily we only have to stop by on the 20th to drop grades or give a makeup if a child was absent. Can't wait!!!!

Our school does that too! They have a super time. I don't go on the trip because the last night they pull an all nighter for grad night and get on the plane about 8 AM the next day!!! Tis for the young........

You will be very fine, I have travelled many times the other way to USA, and in the Med there are so many people from the USA, Last year i was in Rhodes Greece and about four cruises ships were in port, and they were full with people form USA all having a great time.

Earlier this morning there was a blurb on TV saying that the passport requirements have been lightened up because of the delays in processing. Now you have to have your government ID and your application receipt showing that you have applied for your passport. I would double check with the official office for Passports for confirmation but it seems they are acknowledging the problem.

Just no far, you are to the North/West of me, looking at Pictures of the Hotel Majisic, number 1, I can see my one next door. So thats exactly where I am.

Could be walked, there will be a Underground line.

Want to know where the 3Gats and the Fountains are from there.

You asked about family and the dis boards. Well, frankly, they all think I'm nuts. When I talk about you all like I would talk about my friends here at home, DH & my kids say "Who's that?" When I say a Dis board friend, they shake their head and say that I've got to be kidding! You see, this is very out of character for me. I'm normally very cautious (as I am sure we all are) about sharing info with people I don't know well. I don't do chat boards or any other forums except for the Dis. I've been a member for years and found it through Deb's site. DH can't complain because the tips I've gotten over the years has saved us tons of money and tons of time.

He is a little apprehensive about meeting everyone. We normally keep to ourselves when we go away and don't usually go away with another couple or "hook up" with another couple we meet for dinner, excursions, etc. We like being by ourselves. I explained that this will be fun because you are all great people. Please don't be offended if we like to be by ourselves and don't join in on everything. It's just our way. I am looking forward to meeting for dinner at 4cats, the Fountain meet, and the Dis meet on Sun. I really do feel like I've made friends here.

You really are a super bunch of people!!!!
