July 27, 2008 West Coast Magic - 10 Years of Magical Cruising

Hi everyone!
well here we are again back to where it all started. Seems like just a week ago that we were all talking about this trip and Toms sardinespopcorn:::rolleyes1
Jen and Deb where were you both????? I saw you the first day and than POOF you were both gone

After we got home I crashed for 6 hrs sleeping......has been a long few weeks of vacation for us. The boys of course headed straight for the computers and the only reason that I am on here at the moment is because Michael went to eat.

Jen you were our savior......thanks for the shorts. I always laugh about how could people forget to leave there clothes out to get off the ship :confused3well this time the joke was on me :lmao:than to top it off I packed our Birth certificates in the suitcases and off it went into the big big black whole of cruise suitcases. They let us out with our Drivers licenses although we told them that since the boys did not have there certificates that they could just keep them......but they sent us home with them anyway.....

seems that I was more tired than I thought to forget the most important things of all...clothes and certificates..geesh....:rotfl:

Scott, Tom and Ken glad to here that you all made it home safe also and will check back later to see who else is home and safe:thumbsup2

It was great meeting everyone and passing daily to say "HI" The FE gifts were fun and loved them all. WE all (my family) got a big smile every time we came back to our cabin to find gifts. Of course even with all the sweets on the ship.... the FE candy was there favorite.

Well I am off to do more laundry and watch 2 weeks of missed soap operas....yup ....thats where I am heading. I would be lost without the DVR

Have a great evening.....:hippie::flower3:

Kristi, is that you????? :rotfl2:

She remembered her clothes, but packed mine. Luckily, I noticed they were missing from the closet. AND she packed the Birth Certificates!! :lmao:

We get to the agent, and West suddenly becomes shy. Wouldn't answer the agents questions in anything other than a whisper. She got his name and where he was born, but he wouldn't tell her that we were his parents. :rotfl:

Back home last night, Delta lost a bag, and it will be delivered today, better get caught up here at work.

Later kids, THANKS FOR THE GREAT MEMORIES

Question of the day:

Who rebooked onboard?? When is your next cruise??

We rebooked onboard on Saturday morning!!! You're able to book as many cabins as you have people in your cabin (including kids), so we booked 3 cabins (1 for us, 1 for Kristi's sister, 1 for Kristi's Mom). We booked a dummy date (12/5/09) and plan to move it when the 2010 dates come out (depending on where The Magic is going).

We booked the Wonder's Anniversary cruise (August 13-16, 2009). Planning to spend some time at the world before the cruise.

Ken

Hi everyone! :goodvibes

Thank you to all for the wonderful fish extender gifts. Quincy loved coming back to the cabin and finding all sorts of goodies. She filled her princess roller bag with all the wonderful gifts and sorted through it all while we waited at the airport and then onboard the plane. When we arrived home yesterday afternoon...she spread it all over her bedroom floor!! Too funny! :rotfl: :rotfl:

It was great traveling with such a great group of friends and meeting many new friends. Thank you to one and all!

As for rebooking, we did what Tom did and pushed it out as far as possible and booked three cabins, too.

Have a great day!!:woohoo:

Delayed baggage was a pain, If not for Lynn being persistant we would not have gotten it. She done good.

Hope all are home and getting some rest. LOL

Aloha to All!!!

We got back home late last night. And today, I definitely have "sea legs"

I miss seeing you all already. And a big MAHALO for all the FE gifts....kids loved it! I was worried that the boys were getting too old for Disney but they said book another cruise and its Disney all the way! So, of course, that made me happy.

Our Boys said it was their best vacation ever:cool1: They had a blast in Ocean Quest, especially with Robin's boys. Glad the shorts fit Michael :thumbsup2

Lots of great memories, pictures, adventures ( Justin crashed his ATV on Stone Island and we had to pay extra $$$ and the vendor and a police lady accompanied us back to the Magic to get the extra $$$ ) not so funny then but truly priceless now :scared1:

Jaclyn loved the Oceaneer Club and all the characters of course.

And, the best part is that John and Jonathan gained 5 lbs. and I lost 1 lb. :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

We did book a dummy date for December 19, 2009 and plan to push into 2010 also.

Time to run to Costco.

Aloha,
Jen

Jen that is great abotu the loss, Bummer on the ATV adventure.

Oh I know where the Walmart is in PV, LOL

So, who showed up to the meet that I missed giving magnets too??

If I didn't see you there (or in the terminal) but I had your room number, I plastered them on your door.

But, I have quite a few magnets left for people that I never met and didn't have room numbers for. Maybe I can sell them on eBay. :rotfl:

We booked two rooms for Sept. 2009 and then our friends will get off while we stay on for another 7-day cruise, but with a different itinerary.

And Tom, we also booked our dummy cruise for 12/5/09. The captain said the 2010 dates will be annouced in October, so we'll be waiting as well.

Thanks to everyone for the FE gifts. Finding them was fun and saying hi to everyone was cool, even if we didn't properly meet everyone.

John (& Laura)

Can't wait for the 2010 dates/itinerary to be announced.

I'm having cruise withdrawal already  :thumbsup2

At least DH & I will be going to WDW next month for a couple of days for a business conference ;) Well...to be honest, we will be at the conference for 1 maybe 2 days, and the rest of the days enjoying WDW sans kids:thumbsup2

And once again I want to thank you all for the FE gifts! While unpacking today and looking over all the FE gifts it brought a smile to my face.

Its things like the FE gifts, meets, chatting, that really helps to make the Magic that much more Magical :grouphug:

Jen

We also booked the Wonder 10th Anniversary Cruise (on points - so we had to wait to get back, but did get the rebooking discount).

Delta told us our delayed bag was to be delivered to our door, that is what the web site also said, when I called the delivery service that I was told had our bags, they told me that they did not deliver to Cheyenne and that they did not have our bag - back to Delta - "where is our bag?" - "courier service" - "no, they do not have my bag!" - "we will have to get back to you". The folks from the Denver airport did call back saying that since there was no deliver service to Cheyenne, the bag was put on a plane to the Cheyenne airport and I could pick it up there. I do not think anyone would have told me it was at the Cheyenne airport if I had not been to anxious to wait all day to have it delivered to my door, I might never have seen the bag again!

Thank you all so much for the FE gifts! That was so much fun to come back to the room to find new things in the FE!

Woo hoo!!!!

Sure is great knowing so many people on the ship. You can't help but pass each other in the hall and say hello. I walk by other cabins, and I know they've at least stopped by the DISboards cause I recognize they're door magnets, but they never stopped in this thread. They missed out big time.

Thanks Tom, for our door magnets that you made for all of us. That was a real neat surprise & we enjoyed them for about 2 days. When we returned to our cabins one evening our DGD's name magnet was missing. She was absolutely heart broken. I had to promise her I'd make another one for her just exactly the same. Fearing that ours would also disappear, I moved mine & DH's inside our staterooms. DD & her DH left theirs on the outside & a couple of nights later, both of theirs also disappeared. So if you didn't see the ones you made for us, that is the reason. But we truly were touched by everyone's generosity. Thanks again!
Linda

:thumbsup2
Thanks to Ken & those who included us in with the lanyards & name badges. Thanks also to Stan & Lori for the yummy candy. Thanks to Josh & Melissa for the neat scrap-booking items. What a bunch of terrific people! You all made our cruise much more enjoyable.:)

Wow. We had a door covered in magnets and had hardly any problems. One day our chile pepper got moved one door over, but that was it.

I'll send you the graphics tonight, so you can print new name tags if you like.

Gee, thanks again Tom! That would be terrific if you would do that. As you can probably tell, I will do just about anything for my DGD:) :)
Maybe, we had more problems with the magnets because we were close to the elevators or because they were the only magnets on the door. I don't know.:confused3
