We are first timers to DCL, hope you don't mind me dropping in ... I only just found my way to the Disboard and read about the FE. Are we too late? My kids would love it. Wanted to check in before I have my kids make an extender this week. Thanks.

I have a son who just turned 9 a few weeks ago and a daughter who is 3 1/2.

I'm not sure how to add our info to this group properly ...

I read somewhere about meeting at the Mickey pool ... I'm sure we will be the family looking totally lost (spot the newbies)! We are really looking forward to the cruise

Where did this weekend go???

We got some things together - I am totally stunned that we are a week away from flying to Seattle to get ready to take the train to Vancouver.

I think this is the longest we booked one ahead (can't remember if the PC repo was this far ahead) and it has crept up on us so fast.

This is going to be a Long, Hard work week thinking about this cruise. Looking forward to seeing old friends, and meeting as many of you as we can. Hope you all have fun with the FE - we decided not to do them this trip because I tend to go overboard (pun) and I am worried about packing heavier clothes.

Let the countdown begin in earnest!

Thank you, yes she is coming with us......We were planning on leaving early until this came up. She has an appt on Tuesday, so we will see what the doctor says....

Thanks everybody. Terri 41, John 51 and Josh 6. We are in cabin 6521. Can someone tell me what I really need to do for a fish extender because I don't really know. I know that it is a small gift or treat for each of the cabins on the list but that is all I know. More excited by the day.

Remember Mikash is still a maybe - I have a bad feeling actually. I searched for her last post on the Dis; it was late January, reporting that she had major health problems after Christmas and was desperately hoping to be able to do her Alaska cruise. But nothing since then. So, I am doubtful they will actually participate in the FE. But I don't want to take her off the list, just in case.

I've added you guys as extras to the FE exchange.

And, I'll fourth what everyone else has said - don't forget the DisMeet by the Mickey Pool (opposite side from the splash zone - there's more space on this side) at 3pm on embarkation day. This is after everyone has been able to get to their cabins, but before luggage has been delivered (so don't forget the kids' swimsuits in your carryon bag!) and before the lifeboat drill.

Joann (I'll call myself Joann #1 (not in order of importance, just in order of subscribing to the cruise meet thread! if you'd like - one of my previous cruises, we got up to Joann #4!!!! and it's not that common a name! I do spell it without the e though.)

The post said she had a brain hemmorrage on the last day of her Christmas cruise on the Wonder and was taken to the hospital in Orlando. She said she was recovering but expected it to be slow. Nothing since. Here's hoping!
