Yay Thanks!!! <3 I'm so excited!!!:dance3:

So, the count down is on! My DGD has said all year that she wants to go to Disney on her birthday, that it's her birthday and she gets to decide where to go. Well, she was finally told on Saturday that she is going to WDW for her birthday. She received airline tickets, an invitation 'surprise you're going to Disney World' and a count down chain. She called me so excited and asked if I could come too. Told her, maybe I could drive down and meet them!

All the ADRs are made, I've completed the online check in... just need to finish up my projects and pack. I'm amazingly calm. My dining room is a wreck, as all my disney things are there ready for packing. So, without further ado,

Question of the day...

Do you always travel to Disney in July?

I have been to Disney quite a few times as an adult. We have been in November, August, June, July, September, but we have gone the most times in July.

Question of the day...

Do you always travel to Disney in July?

Thanks for the great welcome, anjalee. Love this thread!

We do go frequently in July, though I wish we had some other options sometimes. I'm a teacher in MA and we live in NH, so my breaks don't match up with my son's unless we go during the summer or over the December break. He's going to be a senior HS, so I'm not going to take him out of school anymore like I used to. Besides, the school breaks are just as crowded -- the weather is just significantly better! :rolleyes1

It might become a tradition. The reason we picked the week that we did is because it's the twins nanny's annual vacation week off, so my husband and/or I have to be off work anyway to stay with them. We did go to Disneyland in July but the weather in CA is different than FL, so I may swear off July in WDW forever.

I know what you mean. I am a teacher too. It didn't matter before but now that my son is in school, my breaks need to match his too. We don't mind summer though. More time at the pool and water park which my DS loves and my DD is just starting to enjoy.

Question of the day...

Do you always travel to Disney in July?

I think the plan for next time is to go at the beginning of June, right after school lets out. Or, if I save up enough personal days, I'd like to go in November. I'm afraid the humidity is going to wreak havoc with my asthma.

Question of the day...

Do you always travel to Disney in July?

Heck no!!! We usually come in the fall or winter...but due to scheduling issues, we had to do July this year. I haven't been in July since I was a kid. I am hoping it's not too bad.

Question of the day...

Do you always travel to Disney in July?

No. This is my first time going in July as a adult. Last time was in 1997 during the week of the 4th. And ever year before that we went the same week. That week is "Miners" week here. Most mines go idle for the week of the 4th for vacations. And for years, that was pretty much the only week they had off.

Our month of choice is June... which we tried to do this year. Our options are limited due to school and sports. We tried Aug last time, wasn't to horribly bad but soccer and school start earlier now so that is not a option. We love going during the holidays too. Even with the crowds. Just something about Disney at Christmas! Can't wait to go again this year! :santa:

Question of the day...

Do you always travel to Disney in July?

Yes, we have to go in July too. While it may not be my most idea time to travel, it's when we all can go together. We take it slow and easy and this time, I''m hoping to do some of those late extra hours. Only 5 more days
