July 2011:Calling all planners-Post your dates & Resort

It's insane. On top of it, I needed to see the Neurosurgeon first to make sure that the lesion on my brain hadn't gotten bigger or that it wasn't bleeding. If either of those were true, that could explain the headaches. But, nope... so after months of waiting to see the Neurosurgeon, I get to wait a few more months to see the neurologist. Yay for modern medicine! :rotfl:
Sorry, the whole situation just sounds like it's terrible for you :sad1:

I've been going to different specialists since Dec. At first they thought it was MS, but it's not. Then they thought Lyme disease, but that was a false positive and after further bloodwork they find it's not that either. After 5 MRI's of different body parts, 3 ultrasounds and an emg, we are back to square one. Very frustrating.

Oh, I will still wait in line to meet a character (especially Rabbit last December and Thumper too).
I'd wait in line for 2 days to see them :) We were there in December and must have missed them! I'd love to see Thumper:love::love:

Wow- you found Rabbit AND Thumper!!! We have been looking for Rabbit for years.......DD is a huge Pooh fan. Where did you find them?

Rabbit was out a couple of days before Christmas where Pooh and friends appear as of right now. I have heard that he's out pretty frequently. Pooh is almost always out there (except when he needs a spot of honey), but it rotated the day I was there with Piglet and Tigger and Rabbit.

I have a really great story about this and karma (boy, did I feel like an episode of "My Name is Earl" was happening right around me). I had been in line for the step family and their handler had to take the picture. I stopped to talk to her for a few minutes and asked if she knew when Rabbit might come back out. She said no, but her friend Chad (not his real name since I can't remember it) was over there and I should ask him. I talk with her for a moment more and go over. Tigger is out at that moment with Pooh and I find Chad and ask him if Rabbit will be coming back out. He said, yes, after Tigger and Pooh go back. The line was quite long but I got in it because I was determined to meet Rabbit. The family in front of me has two sleeping children. The family behind me just arrived on property. The family behind me immediately starts complaining that every time they get in line, the character leaves. So, when Pooh and Tigger leave, the mom/grandma/aunt wigs out! The guy behind her tells them that the characters will be back in a few minutes. So, Rabbit and Pooh come out and I get a little nervous because there are still a lot of people in front of me!!! After about five minutes, the people behind me start complaining again. It got so bad that I think the people behind them actually leave the line. Meanwhile, I make friends with the family in front of me. A few minutes later, who should I see but the Steps handler!!!! I talk to her for a few minutes and then she goes to talk to her friend at the front of the line. I see her point back to my direction and I cross my fingers that she is asking him to make sure that I get to see Rabbit. We get closer and closer and the people behind me start complaining louder and more annoyingly. The kids start bumping me in line and trying to cut in front of my. I hold my ground. Then, it's the family in front of me's turn. It looks like I'm going to make it myself so they don't add me to their family. :lmao: So I approach Rabbit and Pooh and I hear the handler say to the family behind me: Pooh and Rabbit are going to visit with this young lady and the Make a Wish family and then are going in for a snack. Pooh will return with Tigger in about twenty minutes. Pixie Dust for me and karma for them!!!!

Great story!! Which park was this in? We always look for Rabbit in England in Epcot - I am wondering, with the new Pooh meet and greet if Rabbit will be there, I think that is in DHS........

We are going to be at OKW July 17th-24th. This trip should be interesting... I'm not too big on staying with my family anywhere as someone is always grumpy... and we are taking my niece and nephew with us as well!

So, thats Myself, my parents, DS3, nephew4, niece7, DD9 and DS11.

I'm irritated at my sister because back in March (I think) I had reserved a character breakfast for all 8 of us. She very sternly told me her kids would not be joining us several times so I canceled that rez.... Last week she ok'd their tagging along. AAAAAHHHHH!!!! I'm going to try to make a new rez, but I doubt it will happen.... Also, I had planned a day trip to the beach to visit with my kids Great grandmother on their father's side.... wonder how that's going to work now that we have to take 2 vehicles...LOL!!

No, I'm not stressed at all!!! LOLOLOLOLOL

:welcome: How did you make out with adding the ADR. I needed to change my Chef Mickey dinner ressie a few weeks ago to August 1st when my brother is coming and I was able to get the same time.

Ok, I have to ask y'all because it's kinda driving me bonkers...Chef Mickey's for Breakfast...pass or go for it? I've heard that it's gone down hill but I've never been there and if I can get into Crystal Palace for breakfast on our Chef Mickey's day then I will switch it out for that or even try The Main Street Bakery (I have heard REALLY good things about that place!) HELP!

I have never eaten at either for breakfast, but our friends love CM's breakfast. As for the Main St Bakery it is really good too, just no characters but you do get a great value for your Quick Service if you are on the DP.

Hey y'all, I know Ive been MIA but with good reason. I've been working on some Disney treats to send to the girls. Im not all that crafty so it took me longer than it might for most I imagine. But look at that, time is flying by and now there are only 42 days left

So first I sent them them some Mentos and mini M&M's and told them to hang onto the tubes when they were all gone. Of course they were all curious about that. Then I mailed them their pressed penny labels.

Pressed_Pennies_1-1.jpg

Then I started working on the Passports.

Passports_Front_1.jpg

Then I started working on the planner, but that took me a long, long time. So in the meanwhile, I made this vacation countdown frame based on one I saw on the Creative Designs board

Countdown_Frame_1.jpg

But I couldnt stop there, cause by then I had the "fever" so I made this trivia countdow board

And, finally last week I finished the Disney planner. You can see the whole thing on this thread I posted in Creative Designs.

 Hugs to both of you. DH has been going throug something similiar for the past 2 years. He doesn't get headaches but it starts with his eyes making him feel dizzy then he gets muscle aches starting in his shoulders, chest, back and working its way down to his legs and groin that will last for a few days to a week.

They have ruled out Lyme, RA done an MRI and even some kind of test where they shock his nerves but all the test and his bloodwork keep coming back normal.:confused3 The times he feels the best are at DISNEY:rotfl:

Wow- you found Rabbit AND Thumper!!! We have been looking for Rabbit for years.......DD is a huge Pooh fan. Where did you find them?

We have never seen Rabbit either, but we did meet Thumper and his sister Ms Bunny at Camp Mickey/Minnie at AK.

WOW great story:thumbsup2

Rabbit was at the Pooh Meet and Greet in the Magic Kingdom. It's kind of between Dumbo and the Tea Cups and lines up against the construction wall.

I found Thumper (and Miss Bunny) at Animal Kingdom. He was out signing autographs and she was participating in the little dance party back at the Greeting Trails.

I know that the Lotso Meet and Greet in DHS is changing over to Pooh for the upcoming movie. I have never seen Rabbit in England before.

BTW, I love the song ("Somewhere Only We Know") they are using in the Pooh previews and I start crying at the end of the preview every time. I don't know why. :confused3

I don't get headaches, I have whole body aches and burning feet and shoulders mostly. I go back in 2 weeks :sad2:

I found Thumper (and Miss Bunny) at Animal Kingdom. He was out signing autographs and she was participating in the little dance party back at the Greeting Trails.

Hmmm...we don't go to AK anymore. Maybe someday we'll go again if we can meet Thumper, though. We found in July and April, when it was hot, the animals mostly were sleeping and it was kind of boring. All dd wanted to ride was the Dumbo=like dinosaur ride and play in the sand pit. And it was HOT. I think it was hotter than any other park. Sounds really dumb when I say that :rotfl2::rotfl:

I know that the Lotso Meet and Greet in DHS is changing over to Pooh for the upcoming movie. I have never seen Rabbit in England before.

After we waited about 40 mins for Lotso dd took one look at him and wanted nothing to do with him. I had to tell her I'd buy her a new pin if she just took a pic with him LOL. I don't yell or get mean, but I am a really good briber!

We are doing character meals to see most of the characters, but we will go to the Visa card character picture spot and animation at DHS

HOW EXCITING!!!! Will Do!! That is my baby girls 13th birthday present….she's going to LOVE eating in Cinderella's castle!

We are celebrating my daughters 7th birthday that night too! (her actual bday is the 18th). I am ordering her the cinderella slipper and she will be dressed up as Snow White!

For years they attributed the headaches to just my sinuses (which that is part of it). But when I had an incident of seizures that wouldn't end, they finally found the lesion. If I had never had the seizures, they never would have found it. Turns out it is very hereditary, and some of my relatives have had strokes from these lesions. Fortunately, mine isn't too big, and the meds should keep me from ever having seizures again. But the headaches are owie. Although, I'm not into brain surgery, which is the alternative. It is a very long story and situation, but I try to keep a positive attitude. It is just that the headaches do keep me away from many things. And, since they drain energy, I get tired a lot too. :( However, when I am in Disney, my sinuses don't bother me, so that is one less pain! haha.... yes, i am a walking disaster. :)

Winter~Your not a walking disaster sweetie! I'm glad to hear that they got the lesion on your brain before it went to something more serious and I hope and pray that they figure out what is giving you those awful headaches soon!
We are celebrating my daughters 7th birthday that night too! (her actual bday is the 18th). I am ordering her the cinderella slipper and she will be dressed up as Snow White!
Someday I'm going to take just a Mommy-Daughter trip with my MDD and take her to eat there. It's on her eventual "to do" list. I hope you guy's have a GREAT time! Can't wait to hear all about it!
Oh, I will still wait in line to meet a character (especially Rabbit last December and Thumper too).
I stand in line for characters too! Ok so I look less odd doing it because I have kiddo's but sometimes I force them to get in line for a character I want to see (like Baloo or King Louie):rotfl2:

Part of my conundrum is that DH told me to schedule buffets for breakfasts but you cant go to but what ONE buffet in Disney without it being a character meal? So I believe all our buffet breakfasts are character meals and I'm worried I'm going to overload him on them. I DO want him to want to go back with us again and again and again. Were on the DxDDP though so that's not an issue.

TXSpice~ If those things you made were on e-bay I would be all over them like white on rice! They look AWEsome! :worship::worship:

I finally booked the Pirates League for ODD! We got a 12 noon appointment on the 17th. So I was thinking that after we get her made up then we will go have lunch in Frontierland or just go where ever DH sounds interested in going.

Oh, I wait in character lines too. But, if they are too long my DH isn't in to that. I can't wait to see Mickey and Minnie's new place! :)

It's good that they found it and the meds help you. Positive attitude can only help. :goodvibes But, but, everyone says *I* am the walking disaster :rolleyes1

I, personally, can't wait to see Mickey and Minnie's new homes, either. While we do meals to avoid most of that, I think we'll make the exception this time.

Haha. You guys are all funny. :) If I told you the WHOLE story, we may have a contest going on. :lmao: However, I hate getting pity from others, so you really don't need to know. Plus, this is the Disney forum... we only think happy thoughts!! :dance3:

Are we there yet? I can't wait! Can ya tell?

Been absent for wow about a month now... its been a long haul for our family, too much sadness, disappointment, etc, but we are hoping for smooth sailing from now on.

I am making up the clothing lists now. Have to see if I can borrow luggage from my mom and dad. LOL. We are taking Amtrak down and back, and luggage is limited to two per person ( I am sure we will do fine. one portion of our trip our luggage will not be checked in. sigh.)

we are staying offsite at the Seralago. We stayed there last year and only had a few minor easily repairable issues. I have confirmation from the mgr that we will have no issues this time around. I got an excellent rate for this, it will cost us less to stay for a whole week than it would for one night onsite. Someday I want to stay onsite, but this trip is not that time LOL.

its good to be back.

Okay, so not to change the subject (as my mom always says), but who thinks it's *not* too late to do a trip report from my Dec 2010 trip? I did a ptr, but never followed through. I was going through it today and think I want to do a TR, but it was 5 months ago. Is it too late? Anyone want to weigh in on this one?

PS: I already have the pics in photobucket LOL

We enjoyed CM when we were there a few years ago. I do want to try CP, maybe someeday we will.

P.s.... for those of you on the WISH thread. Yes, I have gone MIA... headaches have kept me from doing anything. I finally just made an appointment with my Neurologist because of it. But, of course, that isn't until August.

:rotfl:

Sorry to hear about the headaches. I hope they find out what is causing them. I'm glad they were able to diagnosis the lesion and treat it.

Oh, I will still wait in line to meet a character (especially Rabbit last December and Thumper too).

I would love to meet Thumper.

I'd wait in line for 2 days to see them :) We were there in December and must have missed them! I'd love to see Thumper:love::love:

That does sound frustrating. Hopefully they will have some answers for you soon.

I love me some good Karma stories.
