Ya, last night i went to Knotts Berry Farm, and practically went on every ride!!! So there was too much of that roller coaster feel in my head..lol :confused3 :earsgirl: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Today is the DAY!!!

Fun at Knott's...love the Excellerator and Ghost Rider.

Safe flights to everyone. I'm in nervous/panic/totally excited mode.

Off to get donuts...let the feasting begin!

Leaving in 1/2 an hour!!! Next step, find Dave in the terminal ASAP for some "Mommy medicine". Amy :flower:

Hi All,

Well, the bags are packed and I'm ready to go... Hmm, that has a familier ring to it... Our car arrives for us around 9:30/10 and we will be off like a prom dress for our wonderful, no wait, strike that, MAGICal vacation with some of our best friends.

I am so grateful to them for the invitation. This past year when things have been hard or not particularly bright, it has been a tremendous gift just knowing that we had this trip to look forward to and to know that we are truly loved.

I wish everyone traveling today a swift and safe journey. And also want to say a big thank you to everyone past and present here at DIS that has helped to make the preparations for this trip easier than for any I have ever taken before.

I appreciate you all!

Have a super 4th and I will let everyone know all about the trip when we get back.

Now, if I can just convince the DH before we even board that we need to rebook...

Take care,

Tisza

I'm turning the computer off. My folks are here to take my youngest DD home with them and soon our ride will arrive.

Lights out! Magic, here we come :cool1:

We are all here and having a great time! The DIS meet went well and everyone is very nice. I have never seen so many people in lime green! Just wanted to give a quick "bump" to the thread to keep it alive in case anyone else checks in. Ron and I are excited to see everyone at the party on Monday. Hope everyone has a geat cruise and for those not on the cruise, please have a great holiday weekend.

Dave

Hi everyone! I am really shocked to see that nobody has been updating the thread. Maybe everyone will have some great trip reports when we get home. Today is the big party in the Roy Disney Suite. We have ordered the food and drinks and hope to see everyone today to celebrate Independence Day. Yesterday was the first full day at sea and was a nice relaxing day. We had an onboard auction (I won three items), a wonderful dinner at Palo (it was formal night) and then some great adult entertainment in one of the bars. Hope everyone enjoys the holiday onboard and we will see you later!

David

Hi David,
Thanks for the small update. Everybody must be having too much fun to post!!
We are going july 17.
If I may ask, how much is the Roy room? Is that were you are staying? That must be nice.
Well have fun and I will check back later.
Thx.

Everyone must be having TOOOOOOOO much fun!!!!! No on has heard from all of you...hope you have a wonderful time. :drinking1 :rockband: :dancer: :boat: :thewave:

We don't sail till Sept. just to let you know we're thinking about you guys!! :goodvibes

Have a BLAST!!

Ok, who's up to their eyeballs in laundry?? I've already started my 2 load!! I am enjoying the whole house rocking thing. Makes you feel like your still on board. We had a great time (except mealtimes) We weren't too thrilled with our server. He wasn't very enthusiastic and he got our orders wrong on more than one occasion. He kept giving us the excellent speech and I know why now. Needless to say we didn't give him his excelent marks on the survey as he asked for SOOO many times. I don't think my DH and I ate a meal (except Palo) without a kid on our laps, sometimes 2 but that was expected. :teeth: . My kids didn't spend much time in the clubs but they all had a blast. Little ones LOVED the stage shows. Too bad about the jellies and the cold weather yesterday!!

So we rebooked while on board for the last Eastern in Oct. 06. When did everyone else rebook for?? Talk to you all later. Hope your travels home were smooth!! Amy :flower:

Amy, glad you had a great time. By chance was your server's name Ferdanan? We had this server years ago and he schpeel was "My name is Ferndanan and I am here to give you excellent service and an excellent meal". He said it all the time that my kids memorized it!

This must have been our server's twin brother. Our server was Ancell. We LOVED our assistant server Anastaysia. It may jave been were our table was in the back but they would take our order and they'd be gone for 20 minutes for each course. If you needed anything, you had a long wait and we usually ended up forgeting about what we needed. I swear we were the last ones served each night although we were always on time. If he would have taken half the effort he took in giving his excellent speech (I swear he did it 4 times) he probably ended up with an excellent mark instead of what he got. We did still tipped him pretty well as we know this is their only income, but the guy has to know...his service isn't "excellent" and he didn't do anything he could do to give us "excellent" service. He barely cracked a smile all week unless we were getting the "speech". Maybe he can concentrate on giving excellent service instead of excellent speeches. It was still a great cruise!!! Hi Amy and everyone else reading.
We are home now too, 3rd load of laundry...and swaying in the house too. All my kids have commented on it throughout the day and I find it really bad sitting at the computer.
I'm exhausted today.......sad to leave the ship already but glad to have the kids home and busy. Very tired of hearing "mom" and "want" in the same sentence.
My 6 year old, Kallie, got into the kids programs within the first few days and by the end of the week, didn't want us to check her out.
My 12 and 15 DS's didn't get into the kids programs (not my choice, thats for sure) so I feel they didn't get as much out of the kids fun as they could have. They loved doing stuff on the ship by themselves and the shows and food...but did alot of movies and stuff in the room too. To each there own!
We had a great time...and I felt we were so ready with the knowledge I learned from this group and these boards. Thank you to everyone who helped make our trip so memorable. The Dis meet on 7/2 was fun, and a great way to finally put faces to names - thanks for the nametags (they helped so much) and to the great gifts people brought for the exchange! It was neat to "run" into fellow diser's everyday around the ship and see how their trip was going. Thanks again to Ron & Dave for our 4th of July fun meet in the Roy Suite...what a treat.
I hope everyone has a safe trip home, or a continued vacation of fun for those not heading home yet. I need a vacation to recover from our vacation! Whew!
I'll post more details on our week and what tips I used and didn't use, later on.
Missing the buffet and room service already.....I'm not in the mood to cook yet!
Jill
