July 2, 2005 - WE ARE THERE!!!

Anna,
I like your style. Thanks for keeping everthing in perspective. I too, seem to pack way to much and keep telling myself that I won't do that this time. I did find some 50% off sales and did some cruise shopping.... The fun has already begun. I'm not much of a drinker, but I think I hear a Yellowbird calling my name.
Dave,
Thanks for the weather report. It is about 30 degrees here and they are calling for snow this weekend. I would be a very happy person if I never saw snow again...That Florida weather sounds pretty good right now...
Have a good weekend, Angie

Angie - you have company - it is snowed here again this morning. Enough already. :sad2:

I found us on page 2, so I thought I would bump us back to the first page. The weather god's were looking over us in central Illinois, we only got a light dusting of snow, but it is still cold. Another weekend almost over, which brings me closer to spring and July 2......
Have a great week, Angie

Hope everyone had a "Happy Monday".

I'm afraid that XLT is right............spending 15 hours a week in a mall DOES make you want to shop! I dare him to spend 15 hours a week in Home Depot, and not spend a dime.

Sorry for all of you who had snow this weekend.....It was beautiful here! :sunny: I wish everyone an early spring!!!!!!!! :wizard:

Welcome 4foster and AmyJ! We're glad you're with us!

Huh??!! I may not be the most talkative but I've been around here since the begining. I guess I'll have to say something more witty or controversial so I don't blend in with the wallpaper....LOL I give up, chasing 4 kids around all day...this as witty and controversial as I get. Talk to you all later. Amy:sunny:

Even I have to scratch my head on that one. :confused3 :confused3  Fran must have been up past her bedtime. She had to wait up to pick up the kids who went to Seaworld with Grandma and cousins. Better her than me

I was up very late. SORRY!

Ok, going to bed!

I'm still trying to come up with something witty or stir everyone up but I'm still stumped.... Maybe I'll ask my FIL for some ideas...He ALWAYS tries to stir everything up and cause a big stink about something!!! :rolleyes1

Talk to you all later. We get to take the kids to Disney on Ice tomorrow. I'm trying to get the littlest ones used to the characters. I hope they like it. Amy :flower:

I found us on page two again, so I thought I would bump us back to the first page. Not much happening here, the weather is nicer it is in the low 50's. But.....they are calling for colder temps. this weekend and SNOW..... I know your are getting tired of reading about me and snow, but I HATE it.....
I think I am to chicken to try and book our excursions on my own, so I will just pay the higher price and go through Disney...We are still not even sure what we want to do (beaches or see the regions we are visiting) I lean more towards the sightseeing while kids want to spend more time on the water. We will probably split up to satisfy as many in our group as possible.
Angie

Just trying to get some conversation going here.

If you have cruised before, have you voluntarily or involuntarily been chosen to go on stage for 1 of the shows. If you have not cruised before would you be willing to go on stage and perform?

I consider myself to be pretty shy and quiet but I have been the construction worker in the Village People singing YMCA, I have done one helluva John Travolta dance routine and I had to go on stage for one of the family caberet shows. I figure that I will never see any of these people again so have fun. Be sure to ask tchrmom about being a duck? Very funny.

Dave

Dave,
I have been on 2 DC's, but have never been on stage and hope to never find myself in that position. I like your attitude and love to watch others in the shows, but don't feel comfortable, plus I have two left feet..... My sister on the other had was in the 70's show singing a song which I can't remember and had a blast...

Yes, I was pulled up on stage for our first cruise. I had to wear a duck beak, and "quack".
:rotfl2:
Thank goodness I'll never see THOSE people again!!!!!
And, I have to agree.....XLT was a GREAT John Travolta! I laughed so hard, I had tears rolling down my face!

Rain, Rain and more rain here today. My class was upset that we had to cancel field day. (oh, darn  )
One more day, and it will be our spring break! YIPPEE!
Have a great Friday!

I can't believe it's pouring rain out and I get to go sit at a Girl Scout cookie table outside the bank for 2 hours :umbrella: Our troop has 78 boxes to sell today or the troop has to eat them...Literally and figuretively(sp)! I've been so GOOD on my diet for 2 weeks but if we have another box of Samoas in this house, I think I'll scream out of frustration (ok,temptation). Let's hope we find a bunch of people who have beek living under rocks, so they haven't already had their fill of these darn cookies and buy them all up!!! ;) . Have a great weekend. Amy

Amy,

A co-worker just brought my order of 7 boxes. They are good. I hope my kids eat them fast, otherwise you know who is helping. ;)

Hey Amy,
I have been trying to find 5 more boxes of thin mints for the girls at my work and every troop around my area stores (Pavillion and Target) are sold out of them. If you have any can I get them from you since I live nearby? Just let me know where you guys sell them and I'll find you.
Jill

Does anyone know/remember when the first cruise out in the West Coast is? The Mexican not the repo. I want to remind those "first time cruisers" to make sure they report back anything and everything without spoiling any fun/surprises. More hints/suggestions.

Jill - the mint cookies are also my daughter's favorites.

We sold our last boxes on Friday. I'll talk to the GS leader (also my neighbor and see where you might be able to by some. The "offficial last day of selling cookies was yesterday but some troops may have some in their stock. I'll let you know. Amy :sunny:
