How easy is it to get back to WL from MK after fireworks? Trying to decide Contemporary or WL

Getting to WL from the park exit isn’t bad, the boats right across from the exit. It’s getting out of the park that’s the problem, and that’ll be the same with every resort. And boats come quickly at the end of the night so you shouldn’t have too much of a wait.

Unless things have changed since May, there is also a bus to WL. So it’s just like any other resort.

I head for the bus, I find it less crazy than the boat. You don’t have to worry about needing to wait for a second one, it does tend to share with CR or FW so not necessarily a time saver but calmer.

Both are great, IMHO. If you have time, I would just suggest hanging out a little after the fireworks to let the exiting crowd dissipate a little. Taking the boat from MK to WL at night is quite magical.

For CR, then monorail builds up a long line for guests returning to all 3 resorts. Many opt to take the walking path and get back to the hotel sooner than they would by monorail.

Given the choice of boat and bus you often can judge if the boat will be boarding quickly, and if there is a crowd waiting head for the bus and it's a wait for the bus and a ride but rarely will you find buses full and waiting for a second bus like can happen at some.

There was a huge boat waiting at the WL dock after fireworks the last time we stayed to watch them. It was a much larger boat than they usually use for WL.

The boat accommodates ECV's and strollers, which make it a faster load than a bus would be in that situation.

a beautiful boat ride. I've come to enjoy the boats from the MK resorts more than the monorail, but just my opinion.

It will be interesting to see if the new Resort will share this bus or get its own bus.

After seeing the size and "stature" of the new Resort last week,could be some crazy times at Bay Lake when that thing opens.

It’s going to be such a large resort, I suspect it will have its own buses and boats. The site plans show a dock as well as a bus stop. But crazier things have happened!
