Fran,

Have some of those cookies. Just break them in half first and the calories fall right out. :flower:

Well, since XLT went on a diet with some guys from work....I decided to join him. Everything was GREAT....until school ended and now I'm home with the pantry!

The positive side is that I now have more clothes to choose from for me to try and figure out what to pack! (actually, XLT is the packer in our family!) :love2:

Hey Wendy,

Who are you using for house and pet sitter. We need one too. Do you think they'd be willing to hop over to our house? Send me a PM or email

Thanks,
Deb

Did any of you get a weird email from Randi about a change in Carnival's itinerary for the summer? I saw some of your email addresses that it was sent to also. I hope it is just a mistake. My kids really want to ride with her. I hope she was just confused and sent it to us by mistake. I emailed her to clarify we were on the Magic. I let you all know if I here back from her. Amy :flower:

Hi Amy, Yes we also recieved the message from Randi. I do not know what it means. I e-mailed her to find out more info. I will let you know if I hear anymore.

Jim

Randi - Wrote back - now that is service - stated not to worry :sunny:
and that if anyone wanted to ride the bananna boat  it would cost $4.00 per person - one $ less than normal price. She is so responsive - I know she will do us right. Jim

/
I did not receive an e-mail from Randi - I want to e-mail her again soon to confirm our reservation - will anyone else be doing this?

Received our DL tickets yesterday.

Still trying to finalize all our transportation. We have two trips reserved out of four.

Randi wrote me back also. She said everything is OK. She was just trying to notify all the Carnival riders and got a little carried away. :flower:
We rode with Randi a few years ago and she really is just a nice person all around. Glad we don't have to scramble to find another tour for that day!!
I think we are going to Ports O Call this evening to see the Magic leave. I'll let you all know how it goes. Have a great weekend. Amy :flower:

Jim- Tell me more about the banana boats. I think it sounds like something my kids would enjoy. Do I need to reserve with Randi now or can I wait until we get there? I did not get an email and was very glad to hear our reservations are still good to go.

I just LOVE your lists of Dis members. Are your going to post it again or only through PMs? I was gone last week and missed a lot of the changes. Thanks for all the updates.

We are packing now, only 2 1/2 days of school left. Last sport committment this weekend. Two graduations next week (minor ones: preschool and 6th grade, 8th grade one was two weeks ago.)

No docs here and no upgrades. My docs will have to go to the TA in Santa Rosa before I will ever see them, then it will take a day or two to mail them to me. Maybe I should let her know that if I am last then she should be buying the drinks.

I am not really a wine drinker but we do have a good (I think) local winery in Mokelumne Hill and I could bring a bottle or two. I was thinking about bringing their sparkling wine (champagne). It is an almond flavor. It is somewhat sweet but I like it much better than the DRY stuff out there.
I am really more of a tequila person and am eager to try some in Mexico.

Another weekend (in a row) without rain. The weedeater will run non-stop today along with the washing machine.

Have a good weekend.

Darcy

Betsy, Your list has been sent.

Darcy, I will be posting the list agian on this tread - I will be glad to do it this weekend will a changes. If you would like a copy send me a PM and I could e-mail it to you.

The bananna boats are long yellow tubes which you ride like a horse on the water. My kids are excited to ride on them. Randi can make the res for you on that day. If we go through Randi the cost would be $4 instead of $5. As Randi wrote, a buck is a buck!

The sparkling wine sounds interesting - I would love to taste :drinking: - The teqilla sounds better - I would like to bring some back from Mexico - Any suggestions?

Have to go do the lawns now - have a great weekend.

Jim

Darcy, We like Asti Spumante better than champagne too! There is a really sweet one that I will try and bring with us. (TRY......since we are flying) It is made by Cinzano.....and I recommend it to anyone who prefers a sweeter taste.

Jim....I noticed that several people have listed rooms and other info......sorry we never sent that to you. Here is our info.....We have Palo at 8:30 Sunday night, Palo Brunch on Friday at 10:30. We're doing Randi's horses in Maz. and the Canopy tour in PV. In Cabo, I want to go to the Cabo Wabo Cantina.......just to say I've been there. (and seeing Toby Keith there wouldn't hurt either......HAHAHAHAHAHAHA :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ) Don't know if you have our room # either........2581 :sunny:

Rainy again here in Tampa....for the 5th day in a row! :umbrella:

Think we'll go to a movie this afternoon.

Hello Dis Cruise Family,

The banana boat ride does sound like fun! We will book with Randi when we get there. I'm thrilled we were able to get in on the horseback riding. I can't wait for the fun to begin. The trip reports have been great from LegalBriefs.

To all the teachers--congrats on the conclusion of another school year and the difference you make in the lives of all children!

Karen (DW), Arthur(DH), Kennedy(DD)

Longfamily, I'm going to say thank you to that congrats for another year completed, even though we still have four weeks left. I guess it will make the "Countdown to the Magic" time go faster if nothing else. :boat:

:thewave: :thewave: :thewave: :thewave:

I work year round. Our school year ends June 30th and begin July 1st. This year I will have the best first week of school--on the cruise :cheer2: My DD last day is Friday, June 10th. Everyday I will hear, Is it time for our cruise, yet? :earsgirl:

Congratulations to all the teachers out there. You guys do a great job. You take good care of our children once they leave our "hands".

Starting to prepare/organize toiletries - don't want to forget anything. More work, more stuff when you need double of almost everything.

It's hard to bring the luggage down while two of my kids are still in school. My middle one in high school has finals/regents second/third week of June - report card pick-up/last day June 28 and my daughter's last day is the Friday of the 25th(I think).

When I got home from work yesterday, I noticed a thick UPS package on my table and got excited for a minute and then I realized and read it was from ticketmania. I just received my third 10 day MYW premium tickets w/5 plusses. I have three ready for next year. Will buy the other two when we are ready. Need to keep expenses down for next year (way too many parties next year in the family - equivalent to another vacation).

Anna,

Don't forget that "over the door shoe holder" (the cheap plastic kind from Wal-Mart) for all those toiletries. It will be very handy!!!!!!! And, while your on that isle in Wal-Mart, better pick up one of those sweater holder things. You know......they are skinny and you hang them in your closet to hold folded sweaters or shirts. Since there isn't much storage space in these rooms, I find both of these items VERY helpful! :flower:

ANOTHER rainy day here is Tampa!!!!!!!!!! :umbrella:

Have a great Sunday!
Fran
:teacher: -Thanks for all those nice words about teachers!!!!!

Thanks Fran - I definitely have one (maybe two) over the door shoe holder. The sweater holder sounds great too. I like to unpack, put everything out and hide the luggage so the sweater holder will be a great help. Will pick one up in Kmart - it's the one you hang and has three/four shelves going down? Right? I am wondering too if we should bring the extra bag with the snoerkeling equipment for my sons. Not only do we have to carry so much but where to store it once we reach our destination - and since we won't have a rental (like we normally do in FL), we can't leave anything in the car while in parks - need to bring it to room to fill up more space.

Beautiful day here today too. Just came back a little while ago from walking 3 miles down at the beach/park.

Did you guys see that they weren't letting people board until 1:00. :confused3 I think I may have to jump off the ship as soon as I board if I have to chase/watch my kids that long in the terminal!! They said they got there about 9-9:30. I'm still tempted to get there early but they don't serve drinks :drinking1 in the terminal so I'm torn. Get there early and possibly lose my sanity or come later and go crazy thinking I should have gotten there earlier...Decisions, Decisions... Amy :flower:

oh yeah..Didn't make it to Ports O Call yesterday :guilty: . Cranky kids and cranky DH.. 'nuff said... July 2 get here quick...I NEED a vacation. :rotfl:
