July 2, 2005 - WE ARE THERE!!!

Yep, forgot about the lifeboat drill. But everyone can meet up there before the drill...eat, drink and be merry time. Then book off to the life boat drill and after meet back at the same place. Also, this looks to be a great place to have soap bubbles!!!

Thanks for the info Judalyne. Because we are traveling down on Friday I was focused on when everyone in the area will be at work. Didn't even dawn on me that none of them work Saturday (you know, the date we actually have to go to the port). :teeth: Sometimes even the simple details boggle my brain! Thanks for the travel time info. it makes the planning easier. :sunny:

YEAH!!!!!

Thanks for all the "good vibes".........DD and DS's passports arrived this morning!!!! Looks like they'll get to go after all :goodvibes

OK............Now to get Mr. UPS to go and visit all of you!!!!!!

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
Here is some pixie dust to help you out!

I think I'm just going to check out what they have at Party City but I'm not going all out.
15 more days and we're on Summer vacation!! Will this school year ever end!! (You'd think I was going to school but my kids are such a pill to get up in the AM)

I think I'm going to have to start thinking about booking our next cruise. It's pretty sad when you get post cruise depression BEFORE you take your cruise. I'm thinking next Fall but don't tell my DH!! :ssst: Amy :flower:

DD and I bought Pirates of the Carribean t-shirts at Disneyland. Hers is cute, mine is large and black with the PoC logo on it. I'm not too good with costumes, so I told her this was as good as it gets!

Amy...Fran is the same way. She is already saying that as soon as she steps on the plane that it might as well be over. As for another cruise, we are already booked for Oct 28, 2006. We would like to take another before then but not sure if we can swing the finances for that. We did 2 cruises last year and it was really nice.

No Pirate costumes for us, unless pirates wear lime green t-shirts.

Pirate Night was "new" for Our October cruise............a few people wore bandanas and eye patches.......but mostly the dress was they same that you saw when they called it "Tropical" night. You get a pirate bandana when you sit down to dinner that night. If I could remember the website where XLT put our October pictures, you could see "pirate Night"

Amy, Fran, I thought I was the only one feeling that way! I'm sad for the people on the Magic right now that tomorrow is their last night (except LegalBriefs--he gets to go again in a month). :sad1: I'm wondering how I can wait one or two (or more) years before my next cruise, and that's if hubby even agrees to book another one. (He did not enjoy our other cruise 10 years ago to Ensenada. I'm trying to tell him that this will be no comparison, but he needs to see it to believe it.)

Rebook while you are on THIS cruise!

#1 It helps with that post cruise depression
#2Once you step off that ship, you will not get the price they quote you or the onboard credit. Just pick a date and book it. You can ALWAYS change the date after you get home. That way you can still get the good deal. Even if you end up canceling the cruise.....you get your $ back and you have lost nothing.

Now, I have a 10/2006 cruise booked..........any bets on if we book a 2007 while on this one?????????

That was my plan (DS, too--he's dying to go to Castaway Cay), but when I mentioned it, DH wasn't as excited about that idea as I was. You never know, though. I'm confident that he'll have such a good time that he'll want to rebook, too. Your point #2 will probably be the one that tips the scale, though.

Hello everyone - except for one post from my son's laptop - I have not been onv since Monday. Hopefully no more major problems with computer. Missed the boards.

I will try to catch up on the last few pages later - in the meantime, has a meeting place been agreed on? Has anyone received their doucments?

(I don't think my computer is 100 % good yet - oh boy). I am am very good at typing - I see that my letters are not going through unless it's keyboard).

Ye, I am happy to report that XLT and I got our docs on Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!

(that banana above is me, doing the "doc dance") :)

I don't think we've decided on a place or a time yet...........I thinnk we should wait for a trip report from those out this week and next to get a better idea of the time frame. Deck 10 was a suggestion as was the Promanade lounge.

Happy Friday to all!!!!!

Fran

darn it.....I'm in XLT's sign on again!!!!!!

I've been reading on some other threads that people for June cruises haven't all gotten their docs yet, either. The consensus (SP?) is generally that they come between five and two weeks before, so I'm not panicking yet, although I am anxious to get them, too--one less thing to worry about. I could always call my TA and see if she's seen them, but I think I'll wait a bit longer.

Now, if Vanvmom gets hers and I don't (same neighborhood, same UPS route, same TA), then I'll start to worry. :worried: But then, she probably will too, because one of her children won't have a room to sleep in! :scared:

This is our fifth cruise and we have ALWAYS received our docs way bofore anyone else. My theroy is that Disney KNOWS we spend too much with them, and it is their small way of keeping me happy. ;)
(ok.....just let me think that!)

Maybe it is because we are so close to Disney World/ The Cruise Terminal :confused3

Glad to hear we're not the only ones with no docs yet. I've got my passport already (just so I would have it for future cruises). I went to the doctor to up date my shots. I've gotten a house & dog sitter lined up. I've shopped for swimsuits. The waiting part of this is making me crazy! Now where is that brown truck?!

BTW... another note to those of you who are going to DL for the first time either before or after this cruise... there is a store at the exit of Splash Mountaun that sells the yummiest cookies! Their huge, and well worth the cost! :teeth:

Did someone say "cookies"????????????

DD sat and ate Oreos right in front of me after lunch today!!!!

AAUUGGHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess I'll go have a bowl of watermelon!
Fran
:teacher:

Are we talking soft baked peanut butter cookies??? If so they may need to make a few extra for June 29th. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
