Hey, neighbor!!! Thought of you and Kristin this week. Glad it all went well. Oh and welcome to the joys of home ownership... the projects never end!!!

Dont tell me that.... The only thing that keeps me going is that I feel if I do enough, I might finally find the light at the end of the tunnel... All we have left right now (ignorning all the weekly repetative tasks) is to plant a garden, repair some drywall, fix the facia from the tree that hit during Ike, build a deck, remodel the kitchen, touchup some paint, and repair some wood thats rotting on the outside of the house. I'd also like to add some more insulation in the attic and rewire the garage because its done all wrong.

:sad2:

Congrats on the pirate (can't find the icon again) Lucy!!

Not sure what time to meet yet. Chances are good we'll make dinner around 7PM so . We're checking in that day so not sure when the room will be ready. So maybe around 5PM if the meeting is close to SSR??????

Is anyone staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise? Is there a meet planned for that night? We will be arriving there on Thursday so we can go to KSC on Friday.

We're staying at the Residence Inn the night before. We've stayed at the Radisson previously and the last time it was looking a little worn.

My parents and my girlfriend will be at the Radisson and we along with my brother's family will be at the Ron Jon, we'll be arriving on Wednesday. We would love to meet up at the Radisson! My dad is already asking if there will be at meet and highly suggesting to the rest of the family that we all attend to meet people/kids before the cruise. He's starting to get into this cruise planning stuff.

we picked the radisson because they have a shuttle to KSC, we won't have a car so this is important.

The only plans we have for Thursday are early breakfast at CP and then dinner around 6 at Cali grill. Other than that we can meet anytime anywhere.

Just bumping us up! Good Morning!

Just bumping us up! Good Morning!

Good morning as well (although it's 1:30 p.m.!)

Just checking in before DH and I head out. We are flying to Sarasota today to see the Reds play and spend a little quiet time on the beach!:beach:

Keep it going folks and I'll talk to everyone on Sunday!:flower3:

Well you can book as early as 90 days so we should have it by now. It's all on the website also.

We're staying at the Radisson Friday night. I'd to do a meet Friday night.

3pm on Thursday would work for us. Anywhere is fine as we drive ourselves everywhere and do not use Disney transportation . I'm not patient enough to wait on a bus when I'm ready to go i want to go besides using the buses with a wheelchair is a nightmare.

Is there a plan for a Thursday evening get-together in WDW? If not, I was looking at some options and thought I'd throw some out places if you all want to grab a bite to eat while we meet. Now, I haven't been to any of these places, but reading reviews has made me want to try them.

Over in Downtown Disney, a couple good places I've read about are ...

- Earl of Sandwich: supposed to have very good sandwiches for good value (no reservations necessary). Far east end of the Marketplace area.

- Raglan Road: Irish pub and restaurant with Celtic music entertainment (reservations recommended). Located on Pleasure Island.

Or there's the Boardwalk area...

- Spoodles: Mediterranean family-style place with good food and service, but supposed to be pretty loud inside (reservations recommended). On the Boardwalk.

- Beaches and Cream: for good hamburgers and ice cream. They say come early or late to avoid the crowds of pool goers. Actually this one is not on the Boardwalk, but at the nearby Yacht Club/Beach Club resort area.

Any other ideas and suggestions?

All of these suggestions sound great. We love Earl of Sandwich ,Raglan Road and Spoodles. We could even meet by the Boardwalk Bakery for coffee and dessert. We're staying at SSR so a meet there would be fine, too.

My sister's party was a success. She was definetely surprised, especially when saw my husband and kids,a nd her 2 girlfriends there - one from New York and the other from Maryland.

My bil did all the planning. He even hired a piano player. She played all 70's songs and the theme songs from 70's tv shows. It turns out that she had played in a piano bar on Carnival cruise ships for years. She really got the crowd singing. It was a lot of fun. She ended the evening with everyone making Mickey Mouse ears and singing the Micky Mouse Club song.

My sister lives on a 17 acre farm so the day after the party she had a lot of people come out to the farm. But it rained all day so we went up into the mountains near the farm to a bed and breakfast where some of the guests were staying. We had drinks at the bar which was really nice.

We really had a great time.

Ok, I've gone through about the last 15 pages to figure out who's interested in meeting Thursday at WDW. If you're interested but don't see your name here, please let me know. If you do see you name here, please let me know if you're still interested and how many in your party.

Two of us are planning dinner reservations that night at either 6 or 7ish. Many of us are staying at SSR. So I suggest a meeting at, say, 4:30 to say hi, put a few faces to names, perhaps have a pre-dinner drink. The Turf Club Bar & Grill at SSR is an option or someplace across the lake at DTD (there's a boat taxi that looks like it goes between SSR and DTD-Marketplace; anyone know if it stops at West Side, as well?). Then when those with ressies head off for their fancy dinners, anyone else who's interested can move on to the Earl of Sandwich to continue the meet over roastbeef or ham and cheese (look here for the menu: http://allears.net/menu/menu_eofs.htm).

Aaron, that sounds fabulous. DH just said last night that perhaps we can meet for a drink before dinner. Great minds think alike! We're in. 4:30 Thurs. eve. somewhere near/in SSR TBD. Maryann & Tom.

Thanks for doing this.

Thank you Aaron:cool1:  :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

There IS a short boat ride from Downtown Disney, near the Rainforest, that drops you off at the Turf Club:disrocks:
