Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

Yesterday got away from me. I mentioned to DS16 that I was going to REI, he quickly dressed & we went. By the time we got there, got him gas, he had 10 min before he had to leave for work. I ended up staying too long & shopping. Bought 2 pr Keens for me & 1 for DD, a shirt for me and some miscellaneous little stuff like body glide. Bought a Clif Lemon Poppyseed bar on the way out. It was WONDERFUL!! I usually don't like clif bars much.
Still debating on the Garmin 301.

From there went to Sam's picked up the few things I needed, then got gas & went to Costco - a few more things. Managed to have only 1 sample - a water drink, and got a cookie for DD(which I forgot and is still in my purse - OOPS!) Then home to get DD.

After school she & I went to the mall to get Flip Flops for the Exchange on the CB. I made the mistake of calling home to the guys to see if they wanted me to pick up pizza/salad for dinner. DS19 & 16 wanted Taco Bell - 20 min in drive thru. DH wanted Chinese - ordered, waited & waited - 25 min there. DD wanted Sonic chili cheese Fries - another 15 min. At least they're fairly close together. I went home & had 2 chicken tamales(6) - good, but a bit too greasy.

Then DD wanted a movie. Took her over an HOUR in hollywood to decide. Got home after 8 & she stalled until after 9 to start it. So it was a fairly late night. Not sure what today will bring. Need to go finish the Flip Flop boxes & get them ready for mail - might be able to mail them.

Caught up with yesterday's food in yesterday's journal. Stayed OP but was very short on liquid. I feel it today.

Must run & get ready to take DS19 to work.
 
Got DS19 up for work and the eye infection is back with a vengeance. I don't understand it. He can barely open his eyes, puffy, red, watery, gritty - one was matted shut. Obviously can't go to work and stare at a computer screen for 8 hours. Called the Dr.s after hours number and he said start the med again. UGH!!

Food day 6:

DH is going into work.
DD and I will run some errands - Sears for new fridge filter; return to WM; ? to pick up item for the flip flop exchange; not sure where else at the moment.

I'll do the Ab 7 min before we go and try to get in WATP 5 when we get back before DH returns.

Have some Ebay busy work to get done, sort coupons & get some cleaning done.
 

DD an I shopped from 11:30 - 5:30 - counting 1 hour walking, but was MUCH more than that!

I had to do some errands and decided to start the swimsuit hunt. Nothing like trying on SwimSuits to reinforce that you're overweight - have cottage cheese legs, wrinkles, pale as a ghost, varicose veins coming along nicely, and your lower abdomen(aka Baby Belly) is bigger than your disappearing derriere. Yes, it was SO MUCH FUN!!!!! At least DD is painfully Honest! I could have done with size 12's, but I like suits a bit loose, so went with 14. DD liked the 12's better - at least that was positive.

But, I decided if I wait til the end of June, there won't be any in the middle of this desert. Went to at least 10 stores and the selection was VERY slim at each. Finally found 2 that were OK. I won't take tags off until much closer in case I want to return them.

The guy came to pay for & pick up the cycle - YEAH!!!

Met DH at Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. Even w/ dessert I managed to keep it to 11 points. I actually have 4 left for today, but not sure I'll use them.

I've gotten NOTHING done around here yet today, and I'm totally exhausted, so doubtful I will. Means tomorrow will be much busier, but Oh well...

I like to read your journal because I feel like I get a workout just by reading it!! You are soooo busy and I admire your determination and ability to keep it all together.
 
Morning already??????

Since yesterday I was gone almost all day, today I need to get a lot done here. Hopefully!!! Usually when I need that, tho, something comes up.

Since I now have the Ab routine memorized, that will be my first item here in a couple of minutes, even though I can't get in to do it with the tape as DH & the rest of the crew are still asleep.

I can't believe it could be just 'pink eye' or anything else easily transmitted or we'd all have it by now.......Sigh.......

Off to work the abs -- Really, they're somewhere under there-- Trust ME!!
 
Oh Julie...You are too funny!!! I too enjoy reading your events....you are a very busy women!!!

Here's some :wizard: that you DS will get better....it's a shame that they can't find something to help get rid of this icky stuff!!!

Yesterday I let DD play hooky from school. She is a 4.0+ student and hasn't missed much so I figured I'd let her miss one before the end of school. BAD MOMMY!!!! We left home at 8:00 took Max to the Vet to get his remaining baby teeth pulled; got coffee, went to my FAV thrift store(99c day), then to bread store, Goodwill; lunch at Chick Fil A; another Goodwill, then home.

Her Wonderful choir teacher decided to have a 'dance/karaoke/pot luck this Thursday that is Semi-Formal and they must wear Red White & Blue to attend. This was announced on Friday. Semi-Formal here means fancy. Nice to give parents notice. She also announced that for the final concert on Friday they aren't going to wear their formal dresses, but must wear solid black, which they have to have for dress rehearsal tomorrow, or they won't be allowed to sing on Friday. I wasn't about to shop the mall, so we hit the thrift stores!! Hopefully what we found will be acceptable.

We finally got home at 2:15, had to pick Max up at 3 (which took forever), Took him home, went to mail the Flip Flop exchange boxes, Back home, Took DD to friends, went to pick up DS19 at work, took him home, then back to get DD. Is it any wonder I'm tired???? Obviously didn't make it to the gym, didn't get my abs done(but I did Saturday), and am counting 30 min of the hours of shopping.

Today I need to list Ebay as it's 10c listing day, get DD at school at 2:20 as she has an appt about her knee at 3:15, DS19 has an eye appt at 4 (still not sure how I'm going to pull this one off) In between, I'm going to get my WATP 5 mile in and I need to get the stuff we bought yesterday out of the living room!!

Geez, Julie, you should be whip-thin! I feel like I burn calories just HEARING about how much you accomplish in a day. I am such a slouch!
Sorry the doctor hasn't figured out DS's eye situation yet. I am sure that is worrying you. It sounds like you and I have the same 40 year old body that is taking on a shape that continually befuddles us. You should be so proud of yourself for all the discipline you have about exercising. Congratulations! pixiedust:

Thanks for the thoughts, Cam! You are definitely NOT a slouch!!

DH managed to get home to take DS19 to Dr so I went w/ DD. She's frustrated because they couldn't magically tell her why her knee hurts and make it better. Tomorrow I need to try to get her an appt. with an ortho.

I did manage to get her Dr (a gym mom from DS gymnastics) to quickly fill out her physical form for Sea World Camp - 1 more thing done.

We're having a 'blow' here. Can't see across the street for the sand/dust. Gotta love living in the desert! It's been doing this for about 3 hours now and no signs of letting up. Even with windows closed you can taste the dirt, my floors feel gritty and everything is covered in dust. Ain't life grand!

Off to Ebay.... and visit some Journals!

Just popping in to say you are doing a great job! You really need to get out a little more though, rather than sitting on the couch all day.....KIDDING!!....you are so busy I don't see how you get it all done. Major props to you for keeping it all together!

That's too funny, Scott! My DH - the engineer - truly believes I do NOTHING all day! My house is organized chaos all the time as I run from one thing to the next with only about 5 - 10 min on each at a time. He has truly said I need to get up and do something rather than sit and do nothing all day. All I can do is sigh and laugh! He has NO concept!!
 
Hump Day!!! And I've been w/o the bug for 7 days again now. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Took DD19 to work - if DH doesn't have DS19 car towed to get fixed soon I think I'll kill them both!!!! 56 days til Florida and if the car isn't fixed, we won't be going! Or at least ONE of us won't!!

I'm waiting for DS16 to leave for work and I'm taking a NAP! I've had 6 hours/night or less for most of the last week and it's really catching up with me. I'll go to the gym this afternoon as DD has choir after school, so I don't have to get her til 5:00, DS19 at 5:30. Today will be a light Ebay day as I listed a bunch yesterday. I still haven't tackled the stuff in my Living Room - hopefully I'll get a start on that later as well, but I have to carry it all downstairs which is a pain - literally.

Julie, you must be well organized if your dh doesn't think you do anything all day. Believe me, if you weren't he'd let you know! Its amazing how much stuff we do that ya just can't see by the end of the day - the clothes washed and put away, the cleaned dishes in the cupboard and of course the food eaten. Hang in there & don't let him get you down.
 
Back from WI. By WW scale I'm down 1.2 - the first time since FEBRUARY 16 I'm down a pound or more. By my new scale I"m down .4, by the old scale I'm down .5. How weird is that?? But I'll take it.

Off to pick up the bug, pick up a Bday cake for Max(yes, I'm buying a doggie cake for my dog!! - I'm nuts, go ahead and say it!!), mail Ebay, go to the bread store, return to Penney's, etc, etc, etc...... If I get half of it done before DD gets home I'll be doing good.

I did my 7 min ab earlier and will do WATP 5 later on.

Ran to REI this morning to get DS16 knee braces.His knees aren't injured, but he is now into ParCour (Street Running) and needs the stability when he drops from 8-10' walls. Went to the gym, finally.
