Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

Hi Julie,

Hang in there....it will get better...things will slow down I am sure!!!

Keep up the good work.

Have a great day :)

Off & running! Pulled Ebay to package - tried for 2 hours to find an outfit, but finally did - in another container....DUH!!!! That blew a good part of the morning. Decided I'll package after the gym and mail in the morning.

Picked a very grouchy, tired DD up at her friends, and she has an end of school party to go to tonight. Went to Keva for my food for today.

32 oz tea 64 oz water
7 min abs, 20 min stairs, 25 min TM, 53 min weights

I THINK, repeat THINK the scale is starting to move. WW WI is tomorrow, but by my scale yesterday & today I'm down a little. Hopefully it will last! My old scale, which is what I'm really tracking on as that is what I used last time on WW and for my ultimate weight goals, says I should move to the next lower points. We'll see.

Florida in 42 days!! Can I reach my summer goal? Hope so!

Hi, Julie! Just wanted to pop in to send some pixiedust: for your weigh in tomorrow. I really admire you, sweetie. I think you are an awesome mom -- to the furbabies and the teens. I really wish I could give you some advice on how to handle your DS19 and how much he takes advantage of you. I will say that my parents spoiled 2 of my 3 brothers terribly, constantly bought them things, paid off their debts, "loaned" them money, etc. The result? Gratitude? No. At the ages of 45 and 38, neither one of them has ever held a job down for any period longer than a couple months. Neither has ever owned a car or a house. And neither of them has decided what he wants to be when he grows up. It's sad, really. We all hope that our unconditional love for our kids makes them strong, responsible, loving adults. Guess there is no magic formula.

Sending you hugs, sweetie. You are an amazing woman.

Thanks for the :wizard:, Cam! Just back from WI and down 2.2. For me that's HUGE! The most in a WI since the first week after I rejoined in Jan.

I'm now down officially 12.6 in 17 weeks - about .74+/week. Need to stay in the 'losing mode' to make my goal for summer challenge which ends for me 7/3. Total on WW since I originally joined I'm now down 23.6.

Didn't stay for meeting as I need to meet a friend to exchange paperwork about the gym(DS16's old gymnastics gym). A fundraiser they sponsored went bad & I'm out almost $700. I have no legal recourse against the company, mine is only against the gym, so we may have to take them to court. This friend knew her daughter was leaving, so didn't pay last 2 mo tuition (which was about $150 less than what the gym owed her) and they are now suing her and she has to counter. What fun! Hopefully it will resolve soon.

Then off to run errands, gas the car, mail packages, Credit Union.

Breakfast will be Starbucks(that's where we're meeting). Not sure what else.

And now for today......

Going to be busy! Yesterday they delivered 20 tons ....YEP, that's 40, 000 pounds, of fill dirt. We have an inground trampoline that we're taking out & getting rid of at the garage sale next weekend. If we don't fill in the hole, since everything is sandy here, our brick fence near it will collapse, our shed will tilt, etc. So, today is shovel, wheel it down the hill, dump, back up the hill.....all day..... or until we collapse. Dirt is HEAVY!!! I couldn't believe it would take 20 TONS, but it does look to be the right amount. I guess that's my exercise today!!

Yesterday ran errands w/ DD, then dinner & watched Nanny McPhee - pretty good.

In between loads of dirt I need to do laundry, Ebay, start getting seriously ready for the Garage Sale which is Fri/Sat.

Somehow we have to figure out how to contact DS16 work. He is scheduled for 48 hours this week, which means he'll really be working closer to 60 as they never let him off on time. Plus, they've now said that even approved time off you may not get off.... GREAT!! How am I supposed to know if we will be going to FL or not???? I'm not real happy about it. DS friend has college classes and they've scheduled her when she's supposed to be in class. Said her telling them when she has class isn't proof, they need something from the college? What's up with that??? Plus, there aren't many team leaders and most of them have overlapping schedules, so, if they need to miss, they have to have another team leader cover them, and there aren't any. Very frustrating!!! And, DS16 has to finish school still and if he's working 50/60 hours a week, there's just no time or concentration left. Not a fun dilema.

So, this should prove an interesting week to say the least. Plus DD has a knee specialist appt on Tuesday, fencing, etc.

Can the world PLEASE just slow down now!!!!

Food Journal day 28 -

What a weekend!!

DS16 deserves a medal!! He did almost all of the dirt himself. I only shoveled a few loads, ran to borrow a 2nd wheelbarrow we couldn't use as it tipped too bad, & kept filling drinks. He was concerned about his overweight, out of shape dad doing it in the heat, so he was like the energizer bunny. Only had about an hours worth left for dad this morning and temps were much cooler today.

Then DS16 worked today from 6:45 - 3:45 without even a break at all. He's not real happy. No food, a couple of drinks, no potty break. Didn't have a chance to talk to management today, hopefully tomorrow. If nothing else, that violates worker laws. He makes great money and likes it, but it's getting old.

Almost forgot....During breaks from hauling dirt, DS16 washed & waxed my CAR!!!!!! Without being asked or anything. I about flipped!!

Started working on the GSale in earnest today. Hopefully I won't have tons at the last minute.

Tomorrow DD has her knee specialist appointment. Wednesday is fencing, F/Sat is GSale. DH leaves bright & early next Monday for GA until the following Saturday. Having another GSale that Saturday for a few hours as it's a neighborhood sale. Hopefully I'll unload a LOT!!

TOM is definitely beating down my door. I've had the munchies all weekend and not sleeping well. Hopefully won't too adversely affect WI on Thursday.

DNiece in FL has her sonogram on Wed. We're all anxiously awaiting the determination of who this baby will be. We're all keeping fingers crossed it's a boy as my DSis has no grandsons.

Food Journal Day 29 -

Egg Beaters(2) the new ham & cheese have more points but YUMMY!
lt em(1)
decaf(0)
4 lt bread(2)
turkey(2)
lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, mustard(0)
baked chips(6)
ff cottage chz(2)

I'm addicted to the heart healthy vanilla ice cream 2 pts 1/2 cup w/ frozen blueberries 1 c = 1 pt. Feels like I'm cheating!

Weight seems to be holding steady, at least before the salty baked lays today which will probably shoot it up tomorrow, but the salty cravings were BAD! Could have done much worse. Stayed OP and I'll go to bed before I'll eat any more!!!!(except my ice cream which I'm about to get!)

TOM arrived in full force. Fitting for a morning when I've had only about 4 hours of sleep.

DS19 finally waltzed in about 4:30 a.m. after leaving at 7:30 yesterday morning and telling me he'd be back in about an hour. Had to get DS16 up for work at 6, dogs out at 5:30.

DD had her Knee appointment today and was NOT happy that she was told there's pain, but nothing apparent causing it. Just that many girl athletes have this from about 13/14 - about 19/20. Rest, Ice, Cold packs, Elevate. Needless to say I heard her wrath for about an hour. LOVELY!!! She just needs to learn to deal with it. Dr. said swimming would be good for it, and I tried to convince him to write me a scrip for a swimming pool, but he wouldn't go for it. Darn!!

Didn't get anything done on the GSale today as the Dr appt took almost FOUR hours! Add that to the 40 min drive each way and it shot the whole day.

Did manage WATP 5 mile, abs & waist work. Want to get to the gym, but not sure it will happen this week.

:grouphug: Julie,

It sounds like today was a long day for you. I hope tomorrow is a much better day! :sunny:

Are you having a garage sale this weekend? We are having one Thursday and Friday and the weather is looking kind of iffy. Of course, the money is for WDW so we are hoping for lots of :sunny: and lots of buying (not just looking) customers! :thumbsup2

Have a great day! :sunny:

What a wonderful, supportive son you have. You must be very proud of him - its unusual for a teenager to actually be that concerned for their dad.

Don't think that the 9 hours of work without a lunch break is legal though. I hope your able to get thru to his boss.

As always you do a great job of getting in your exercise - :thumbsup2

Hi, Julie!
Sorry I haven't been around.
Congrats on the huge loss last week at WI. Hope tomorrow goes well, but i know how it is with TOM.
Huge kudos to DS16 for doing all that work for you. Great kid! Sorry the specialist couldn't provide more satisfactory information to your DD.
Have a great day and good luck with your GSale if I don't get back here! :grouphug:

Julie - where in GA is DH going again?? And I tell ya', you just never stop!! That busy lifestyle alone just has to count for some weight loss :)

keep up the good work!

DH is heading for Savannah - he LOVES humidity, so ought to be fun!! He's teaching a class for Honeywell to Martin Marietta people. Personally, I wanna come to the new Atlanta aquarium!!

Today was a very sleepy day. DS19 has to be at work at 6 this week and next, so it's up at 4:45 each morning, and usually not in bed til around 11 - 12. Sleep is SO overrated anyway!!

Got some GSale stuff done. Spent most of the day searching for the magic key for my BUG. When DS16 washed it, I haven't seen my opener switchblade key since. DD and I've torn the house apart today and it turns out it was in DH van. YEAH!!!

DNiece in FL is having a girl! So, my DSis will now have 4 granddaughters. The 2 who live near her in Lakeland will be 1 year apart, fun, fun, fun!

DS16 MIGHT have tomorrow off!! The owner apparently tried to switch DS16 day off from Tuesday to Thurs, but since he isn't so good with computers it ended up with DS16 not having either day off. Should end up ok next week as DS16 is going to teach the owner how to run the program :thumbsup2 .

The next 3 - 4 days will be busier than usual with the GSale, but then hopefully I can get a bit of a reprieve. Florida in 35 days.

I didn't get exercise done today as the clock ran out, but I did my Abs & Waist at least. Realistically, I won't make the gym til next week. I can't stress too much over it(but my pea brain would like to) as it's part of life.

Food Journal day 31 -

64 water, 32 decaf tea
7 min abs, 10 min waist work.

In cleaning out for the GSale I found my copy of MFM in a box of books to get rid of!! YEAH!!! I can FINALLY read it!!(assuming I don't lose it again!)

Off to record some magic show for DH and then need to start pulling Ebay stuff to ship tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get a chance to visit a few more journals!

Well, it's almost 6 p.m. and the Garage Sale is NOT anywhere near ready. DH isn't home yet and he has to pull the tables up from the shed, put up the clothes bar & figure out where the cycles will go, plus a few other things. The worst will be to move the washer & dryer up the hill to the garage.

Got Ebay pulled, packaged & mailed, ran to the grocery, most of the sale stuff is marked except a little up high in the garage. DS16 is out putting together the trampoline.

Food Journal Day 1-

2 pt sandwich(2)
ff cottage cheese(2)
baked lays(4)
2 pt bar(2)
chicken(4)
bun(1)
1 bite slaw(1)
ice cream(4)
blueberries(1)

64 tea 64 water

No exercise other than setting up the sale

WI this morning I was down .4. Not much, but since it is TOM, I was thrilled with any loss. Hopefully a better week next week.

Off to get busy again....

Well, the garage is sort of getting ready. Nothing is on tables, but all but 1 big box is marked. I have to get DS16 up for work at 5:15 a.m., so I'll be out working shortly thereafter. Getting DD up at 6 to start helping. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Good luck with your garage sale Julie! And congrats on that recent weight loss at WW! You are doing great and will make your goal in no time! Sell lots of stuff!
Amy

Thanks, Amy!

Day 1 of the Garage Sale is over. Unfortunately, the washer/dryer are still here, as is the trampoline. But, 1st day I wasn't going to sell a 3 yr old Maytag for $35. This is NM and if it is more than $1 people get rude. Pretty much doesn't matter what it is. We made pennies over $100 today, so I didn't feel too badly, but would have been much more in KS where we used to live. SIGH....... Tomorrow they have to go or DH will make me pay someone to haul them off.

Food Journal day 2 -

2 lt EM (2)
smidge lt pb/sf j(2)
sub wrap(4)

63 oz tea, 32 oz water

No exercise except lots of pacing....

Hi Julie,

Sending some :wizard: for your garage sale today. We made just a hair over $100 over two days this weekend. I hope yours goes well today! :goodvibes We're going to a community sale with 100+ garage sales... I'm looking for eBay stuff! :Pinkbounc

Have a wonderful weekend! :sunny:
