JonBenet Ramsey - a question for those who follow this story

How many public bathrooms were open in the area? I know in my suburban neighborhood it would be nearly impossible to find a public bathroom in the middle of the night on Christmas.

In the 90's probably nothing nearby. Around here almost nothing is open after 5 or 9 on Christmas even gas stations. Unless they are right off an expressway exit I highly doubt anything nearby was open. Things were not open the way they are now.

I am still curious if anyone here knows if the authorities know if the ligature marks on her neck were made before or after she was killed.

Im sorry...the "friend" of the family whoring herself out on all these shows is a joke.

I think the mom or brother accidentally killed Jon Benet (still child abuse) The foreign DNA could easily be explained as part of John Ramsey's cover up suppose they knew they needed DNA to take the suspicion off their family John could have put on gloves gone to the nearest public rest room rubbed the gloves on the men's room toilet came home and touched Jon benet's clothing voila foreign male DNA on her clothing!!!

*Face Palm*

I believe you can go to a public bathroom without being noticed especially in a busy place also maybe a spot a pot their everywhere I just believe the DNA was a plant and the whole kidnapping senerio a coverup!! Wow people on here are mean but it's ok I can take it :)

We'll have to disagree about that being so simple on Christmas night or the hours before dawn the next day.

Mean? My comment about cordiality had nothing to do with your comment. It was about the police officer who said they knew John Ramsey was guilty because he was so cordial and had to put their hand on their gun in the house and count the bullets because they knew they were in the home with a killer.

I believe it's conflicting. Some believe she was still alive because they see fingernail marks. Some say after because there was no skin under her nails.

Another question about the public bathroom. How did John manage to rub gloves around a public bathroom and only get the DNA of one person and only a tiny amount at that? It must be the cleanest bathroom in America.

ETA
And why not rub the DNA on the murder weapon and all over the crime scene?

Also something that keeps jumping out...if Burke killed her wouldn't all the ligature marks on her neck be obviously post-mortem. Wouldn't a forensic specialist be able to determine if the injuries were sustained antimortem vs post-mortem. I just think the whole burke killing parents covering up is so off the wall even based on the evidence presented by people who want that to be the way it went down.
I've heard a theory that Burke hit her with something to cause the skull fracture and that when John and Patsy found her she was having seizures and they knew she would be brain damaged or would die anyway and they used the garrote to allow her to die the garrote was what killed her

Yeah, extra points for his really good eyesight to pick up only one donor sample.

Oh I'm sorry I wasn't referring to you being mean there were a couple comments that sounded mean I'm new to this I knew exactly what you were referring to and I thought it was a great comment :)

I heard that theory, but it was Patsy who did all the killing and coverup.

Patsy ran that child to the pediatrician every time she had a minor sniffle. If anything, her pattern indicates a person who would have called 911, and tried to get the best specialists in the country to help her child.

Can't they tell by the bruising if it was before or after...Wouldn't the evidence of asphyxiation be there or not regardless of the blow to the head?

Brain dead or not at the time of death I find it impossible to believe the parents covering up for an accidental death would cause that type of harm or that dramatic of staging to protect their child. How could any parent want their childs body mutilated in that manner. There are less severe ways to cover up a crime and I doubt frantic parents who just found their daughter killed by their son would even be able to come up with such an involved crime scene staging, let alone carry it out without making mistakes.

How can a flashlight cause a skull fracture that significant, but no bleeding or splatter. I don't by that.

So your son almost killed your daughter, do you:
1. Call 9-11
2. Try any type of lifesaving measures yourself
3. Sit down and construct a garrote so you can eventually put her out of her misery because a hand over her mouth, a pillow, or even the piece of duct tape wouldn't be enough

Yeah, extra points for his really good eyesight to pick up only one donor sample.
There could have been enough to use on both sides of the waistband and her underwear if he only touched one spot he could have picked up just one sample just brainstorming but there are many ways to get DNA pick up a coffee cup from just one person or a cigarette butt I just don't think that DNA is a dealbreaker on whether the family is responsible too many things point directly to them

Like what?

Can you not phrase #3 that way, because it creates extra psychological barriers and makes it more difficult to unequivocally state that a parent did this? We are trying to solve this case here and anything that creates doubt is unacceptable.

Such as?

Have we abandoned the public toilet theory?

IMO it's a gigantic leap to accept that a piece of forensic evidence that definitely points away from the family was so inexplicably and precisely planted by the family. I've heard forensic biologists testify with their results in the quintillions before. I cannot even begin to imagine how many decimal placements are necessary for the possibilities you suggest to be true.

what a strong 9 year old

They said the garrote is a device that John had been familiar with in his military days if he had used his hands I think that is more personal and in his mind it could be like the garrote killed Jon Benet not his hands SBTC was from his military days also I think John had to go back to his military nightmare to pull the garrote off but did not want to see Jon Benet live as a vegetable you also have to remember they had all night to stage everything patsy was still in the clothes and makeup she wore the night before which everyone said is not the norm for Patsy

The clothing thing has been discussed numerous times. No one knows whether or not it is unusual for her when she is at home alone with her family not entertaining friends and family.

And in my opinion makes her less suspicious. If she killed or help cover up a murder wouldn't she change out of those clothes before the police showed up in case there was some evidence on the clothes.

As for the rest of the theory, I'm not even going there.
