hayley's lawyer's comments on her behalf could actualy help him with a claim.
jon can show he left and did'nt return until immediatly before it was reported to police. hayley's statements are that she and her 'friends' did remove (with jon's permission) some items from the place and at that time there was no damages.
that supports his claim that he, the insured did'nt cause the damage/loss.
this does'nt exclude, however, the possibility that either (1) jon prearranged a staged break-in, OR (2) hayley purposely left the door unlocked (either hoping for a break in, or in colusion with jon to facilitate one-she may be tweeting angry statements about him, but he still owes her money and she may be well aware of whatever insurance payments he has available. and if as reported, the debt to her is now overdue for repayment-she would do well to get a judgement against him to try and capture any funds he comes into that child support does'nt hold first claims to).
Hmm, there's an interesting thought. Does anyone know if the apartment was in both Jon & Hailey's name? Or was it just Jon's? I know Hailey claims it was hers too since she was paying 1/2 the rent apparently. Speaking of paying rent, did you all notice that it was Hailey's parents paying her rent, not Hailey. Just noticed that, not that it means anything but I thought it was interesting. I guess she doesn't have a job then.

I don't know that either is smart enough to try and pull an insurance scam and I think Hailey's smart enough that she wouldn't do something this stupid to be pinned back on her. I just don't know...so sorry Jonny Boy! And for Hailey's parents paying half the rent, when they realized Jon wasn't paying, why'd they keep paying him? Why not pay to the company directly? I would think if Hailey's name was on the place too, they'd pay everything just to save Hailey and try and get out of the lease. Too many things that don't add up with this one!
What ever happened with the apartment break-in?
