So this tells me ... #1) Hailey is real angry/hurt/devastated about the break-up. #2) Security would not have question her coming and going to the apt. Hmmm ... does not look good for Hailey. The "knife" esp looks to be disturbing. :sad2:

::yes::

Glassman Lawyer: Jon Gosselin Break-In a Publicity Stunt

Jon Gosselin is in yet another he-said-she-said situation – only this time, it's not with ex-wife Kate Gosselin but with ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman.

Jon Gosselin, 32, says that his apartment was ransacked and his belongings vandalized over Christmas – and hints that all signs point to Glassman, 22, as the perpetrator. When he returned to his New York City pad on Dec. 26 after spending the holiday with his kids, he was "horrified ... to observe his furniture, clothing and personal belongings slashed by a very troubled and sick perpetrator," Gosselin's attorney Mark Jay Heller says.

What reportedly clued Gosselin into a possible link with Glassman, who split with the reality-show dad in recent weeks? A note that she'd allegedly written, pinned to his dresser with a butcher knife.

But, says Glassman's attorney, Anand Ahuja: "Somebody is trying to frame my client."

And who's an obvious suspect for that kind of crime? How about an attention-starved Gosselin? "I don't know anything about any note and I can't confirm it at this time," Glassman's other attorney, Stephanie Ovadia tells PEOPLE. "This appears to be a publicity stunt."

Glassman did take items from the apartment, on which she split the rent with Gosselin – but everything she took belonged to her, according to her lawyers.

Gosselin "told her the apartment would be padlocked because he had not been paying rent, and she should go there and take whatever she wanted," Ovadia says.

But Gosselin's camp is hellbent on justice. His lawyer, Heller, vows to "vigorously" pursue "felony charges."

Even so, Glassman’s reps aren't rattled.

"My client had nothing to do with this," Ahuja says. "As far as she is concerned, it's a hoax."

If it's true--Hailey needs jail.

If it is a hoax, authorities need to go Balloon Boy Dad on Jon and pronto.

I do find it comical that as attention hungry Kate has been--she is on the downlow.

Perhaps Jon was tired of Tiger taking the front page of all the tabloids.:confused3

And I wonder if he still rates this relationship as better than anything he ever had with Kate.

Wait, so now Jon's not been paying rent for the apartment? And it's going to be padlocked? as in he's going to be "evicted"?

Well, at least there's still the other house, right? I didn't miss that that was sold, did I?

The first house they taped in was indeed just sold. Oh well Jon, maybe you can move in with your mother.

Popping in to comment on the recent Jailey (Jon+Hailey) craziness...

What the heck? If it's indeed true that Hailey did this, she is BEYOND crazy. Seriously disturbed and if I were Kate, I wouldn't let that crackpot (no pun intended) anywhere near my children. Don't we all remember her disturbing gun photo?

The alternative? Then Jon is crazy. If he pulled this stunt then he's pretty messed up too. Who does stuff like this? The news report reads like an 80's horror flick...slashed mattress, slashed clothing and a note stabbed to the dresser. Lovely. All that's missing is a hockey masked villan.

Jon, Jon, Jon.:sad2: Either alternative is bad IMO. If Hailey did it, she's insane and why on earth did Jon ever hook up with her to begin with? Where is his discernment? How could he allow this crazy chick into his and his family's life? On the other hand, if Jon staged it all then he is really scraping the bottom here to get into the limelight. Sick.

Honestly, I don't know what to believe. I suppose the security tape will tell all then since Hailey claims she didn't do this even though the note is hers. :confused3

Hailey admitted to writing the note, but she didn't stick it on the dresser with a knife, and she admitted to taking things from the apartment. I'm almost thinking she had friends with her, she couldn't have moved all that stuff out of the apartment by herself. I'm sure Hailey's parents will pay Jon off, and he won't file charges. I wonder if insurance will cover this, plus he will be able to deduct the loss on his taxes, if that is any consolation.

If Jon did do this, how sad.
Wasn't he shooting a gun on the house property a few weeks ago?

I bet Jon never got around to getting insurance. He just doesn't seem to be very fiscally responsible.

Ok now it is a stunt performed by Jon for attention. :headache:

Jon Gosselin Apartment Trashing Was a Stunt
By Marisa Fox

Looks like balloon boy's father, Richard Heene, isn't the only fame-seeking dad who has no credibility with the public.

People.com readers think Jon Gosselin created his own drama to get attention by possibly trashing his own New York City apartment. When asked about the incident, 72 percent of those who responded to a People.com poll said they believed it was a stunt orchestrated by the reality show dad.

"As soon as I heard about this I thought publicity stunt! I see I am not alone," wrote Kristie 'Watts' Dippong. "He had to do something to get himself back in the news."

A lawyer for Gosselin, 32, says the star's home was vandalized over Christmas, his clothes and curtains shredded and a note speared into his dresser with a butcher knife signed by ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman. But some readers are skeptical of the story.

"This guy is such a loser and an obvious drama addict," wrote Cara Mia Profaci. "What a way to waste life, just creating one dumb drama after another."

Glassman's lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia, denies that her client trashed her ex's apartment, saying, "This appears to be a publicity stunt."

But not everyone thinks Gosselin is up to no good. Reader Melanie Lister Ditch wrote of the TV star, "Leave Jon alone … He has some issues that he needs to work out … everyone has faults."

Nah, still speculation.

when i heard about the apartment trashing i immediatly thought 'insurance scam'. it's awfuly convenient that it occured after he supposedly told her she could take certain of his items out of the place (big red flag when this is learned to have happened immediatly prior to housefires and break-ins).

here's a guy with no income, barred from gaining any in the manner he wants to (and likely not hireable in anything else), owing 90,000 to the one he's accusing of the trashing, and obligated to what is being reported as a 5 figure a month child support order-he may have seen this as a means to generate some income (and depending on what the rental agreement is like, and to what extent security is supposed to be provided-a means to delay the eviction or at least get the rent arrearage written off).

stranger things have happened, and who know WHEN hayley wrote the note? i dated a guy with an unstable mom prone to writing psycho notes to her husband(s). one was equaly unstable, but smart and vindictive. when they were divorcing and arguing over money and possessions he took one of those psycho notes he had saved (undated) and staged a break-in/trashing at his home. he put the note in a prominant place to lead the police to pursue charges against her and support a hefty insurance claim.

Geez, nice headline. I love when "news sources" state something as fact then clarify that, no, it's not fact, it's what their readers believe. Not anyone who has any actual insight into the matter, but their readers. Sheesh.

(Momrek, that wasn't a dig at you or anything; I'm just shocked People--while not hard news mongers by any means, still more reputable than, say, The Enquirer--would report something in such an irresponsible manner. :) )

I think it is because People is pretty much in the pro Kate camp and the Anti-Jon camp, that could be the reason.

I bet Jon never got around to getting insurance. He just doesn't seem to be very fiscally responsible.

Even if he had insurance, unless he has a police report and unless his story stands up, it wouldn't cover it.

Just like home owners doesn't cover arson if it is the home owner who did it.

I agree I thought for sure this was some way for him to make money

If Hailey is innocent, that would be the dumbest thing that they could do.

Do you all think Jon could be THAT stupid? If it comes out that he is the one responsible, he'll lose what small amount of credibility he has. I can't imagine anyone that would want to hire him then. I know Jon isn't the sharpest tool in the shed but for some reason I'm having trouble believing he could be this dumb. I'm not ruling it out though, especially since Jon's stupidity surprises us all the time. :sad2:

I think right now Jon is a basket case. I think he needs some serious help or the next headline will be Jon Gosselin has committed sucicide sp?:sad2::sad2:

hayley's lawyer's comments on her behalf could actualy help him with a claim.

jon can show he left and did'nt return until immediatly before it was reported to police. hayley's statements are that she and her 'friends' did remove (with jon's permission) some items from the place and at that time there was no damages.

that supports his claim that he, the insured did'nt cause the damage/loss.

this does'nt exclude, however, the possibility that either (1) jon prearranged a staged break-in, OR (2) hayley purposely left the door unlocked (either hoping for a break in, or in colusion with jon to facilitate one-she may be tweeting angry statements about him, but he still owes her money and she may be well aware of whatever insurance payments he has available. and if as reported, the debt to her is now overdue for repayment-she would do well to get a judgement against him to try and capture any funds he comes into that child support does'nt hold first claims to).
