I don't care for her hair either. Maybe a progression to long hair instead of a drastic long from a short cut. You can tell they are extensions and they look piecy instead of natural. Maybe its just a bad pic.
Sad for the kiddos but happy they are getting counseling. I think its long overdue imo.

Here's a better shot of Kate with her new hair. In this pic, she looks fabulous IMO. Much younger and not as harsh with that other crazy hair do.

Wonder if Jon is missing her now! What's that saying, the best revenge is looking GOOD!
Wow. Looking good? It may just be me, but that looks horrible. Just horrible. And I rarely comment on appearance. I never objected to Kate's old hairdo.
I've tried to go cold turkey on J & K. It is just too much of a trainwreck. It sad to watch and to follow. I am more interested in possible federal legislation to protect all the children of reality TV than in the nasty/dirty/messy Gosselin divorce.
That said, I'm glad to see that the kids may be getting professional help re. therapy. They will certainly need it.
I find it funny, that the guy who does hair on "What Not To Wear" gave her the extensions. If it was some other 34 year old mom, with long hair, the first thing they would do, is cut the persons hair, "shorter". She probably can get away with the hair for 2-3 more years.
I hope she's done whining about not having money to buy groceries and pay the bills. I just saw on ET that those extensions run in the thousands.![]()
I saw an interview with that guy, those extensions cost a minimum of $1500.00 and they have to be re-done every 2-3- months. Wow and she can't pay her bills, but I guess TLC is paying for it. Too bad they aren't getting their monies worth, those things look terrible.

Although the idea of $5000 bucks to blow on a new wardrobe is enticing!

I love how is one article Kate is talking about all the debt she is in, and how she is working to pay it off, yet she is getting $1500+ hair extensions. Though I doubt she paid for them out of her pocket. Probably borrowed the $$ from the kids trust funds. Oh, wait sorry they don't have any.![]()

Chances are TLC paid for them and encouraged them.
Has there been an article saying the kids don't have a trust account? I haven't been following this much.
,Hi Doris,
I don't recall reading anything about the kids not having trust accounts/funds. What I remember was that Jon confirmed the kids do have them but if he and Kate need to withdraw from it, they will. I also *think* that Kate set them up and they're revocable. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, it was a while ago that I read that.
I agree .. I remember reading that Jon and Kate each confirmed that the children have/had money set aside for them.
The one thing that was never disclosed (and I don't think it should be, unless someone can give me a valid argument why it should, LOLOL) is how much is in the accounts for the children. Jon & Kate can say there are accounts, but who knows? They could have $1,000 or $1.00 or even $1,000,000 saved for the children.

Exactly. Do the math, there can't be that much there. They were paid TIDDLY WINKS by TLC for over 100 episodes. WHat did Jon say, that all together they had made 2 million off the show as a whole family? Before income taxes? (Or just under that I think)...subtract from that their living expenses, which must be huge since they upgraded their lifestyle so much...(just the taxes alone on that house have to be killer, much less upkeep, now that TLC ain't sending gardeners and food etc) Then take what ever is left and divide it by 8. I haven't even talked about the bulky morgage they have on that place. Those kids would be lucky to have a couple thousand each set aside for them. I bet the only money still left is whatever poor trusting and naive people sent into the kids college funds that the governor set up them back when they were still begging for donations and acting like the poor church going couple that needed the help of everyone.
Kate is trying to act the part of "real" celebrity on the salary of what many regular people make in regular jobs. (2 million BEFORE INCOme taxes over how many years? - not alot really) It just isn't gonna work (especially since there must be sparse income now)something has to give. She has to realize that the real celebrity she is trying to copy make 2 million for getting out of bed some days. Some make 10 million an episode for shows.
