I can't believe it. Like he has no other choice and he's just so eager to do whatever Kate tells him to do. How disgusting bringing the kids to the door and yelling at them to say goodbye to the pups.

This is one of the most disgusting things I've seen him do. If he wanted to keep them, he could have gotten a house in the country, build, like someone else suggested on their property, move to their old house, or hired someone to take care of the dogs.

I think it's the best thing for the dogs right now, as I said, product of divorce, but stand up and admit that you weren't willing to make changes to keep them either, Jon.

That was the most disgusting display to date....those poor kids! :sad2: And Jon has it all on tape for all the world to see...wonder what the family court judge would think of this one....this man has lost it!

Again, we know so little. I still remember Kate saying they got the house and other things trying to make Jon happy. He's never denied that. Sometimes people do stupid things when a marriage is breaking up. They seem to have done them all. Granted they got dogs instead of more babies, but they had the ceremony, the house. I really wonder if either of them really understood that there was no saving this marriage. Why would they not continue to act like they did on the show, if they thought the marriage had a chance? I think they bought the house thinking that all that space was going to help the marriage. People on the outside looking in, or even in hindsight knows those things don't usually work.

Jon's not just along for the freebies. He's along for the money. It would be a lot to give up, unless you knew for sure, this was the end of the road.

Just my opinion.

but I think, based on everything we've learned in the last few months, that Jon & Kate bought the new house and intended to keep filming as though nothing had changed. I believe that Kate (not because she's a bad person, but because of her personality she thought she could make it work) thought she could hold it all together for the show. Kate has more to lose with the show ending. She's the one who wants a career in show business, Jon doesn't. He's just along for the freebies.

I don't see anything wrong with Jon using the paps to try to get sympathy for him. Kate uses the kids when she wants to. Yes, they should BOTH stop acting like idiots but I have a funny feeling that this is gonna get worst before it gets any better.

they're both users and manipulators. it just depends on the day who's being used for their gain.

very true... although I do think he's taking advantage of every freebie opportunity possible, so he doesn't have to spend money.

well same for Kate, she could make changes to keep them. What is good for the goose is good for the gander, I don't know why people can't see that. And if Kate wasn't such a witch, maybe Jon( who is acting like a jerk) then maybe Jon wouldn't have to "be so eager to do whatever Kate tells him". How can you blame just Jon when in your own words he is doing what Kate wants? Where are the negative thought for her. They both are very materialistic and as another poster said they both have Hollywood on the brain. And don't tell me that Kate doesn't, she could find another way to make a living other than wanting a talk show . PULEEEEZE

I always felt the dogs were a TLC thing. they needed some more action at the house. I mean really, who gets not one but TWO german shepards when they have 8 kids...5 of them under 4....and i think Kate agreed to it because it may have meant more $$$.

I just watch the video Jon made of the Dogs leaving. :sad2:

It seems to me he is playing the victim card again. It seems he wants everything his way or else.

Could he be mentally ill?

He said, Kate said she does not want to take care of the Dogs on the same phone call that she said she does not want Haley at the house. Some how Kate won that round. I wonder why he agreed not to bring Haley.

The good news is he said he is just leaving them at the breeder until he figures out what to do. I hope that means his own house in PA.

Kate won the battle over Hailey because it was totally unreasonable for her to meet the kids until Jon was ready to settle down with her -- his own mother would have told him that (as would any of us, had he been smart enough to consult us). But he has no chance of leaving the dogs at the house because he can't force Kate to look after them.

For right now anyway, he had no choice but to send them to a kennel -- lucky he was able to send them back to the breeder for now.

Do you think Kate would actually let him stay in that house (because I highly doubt it)?

Kate is in NYC taping "The View" this week, right? I think Jon wanted the dogs leaving on video so Kate (and everyone else) could watch how upset the kids are. I think he purposefully staged the whole thing and invited the media to tape it to get back at Kate.

Good point :thumbsup2 Maybe it was revenge for her saying a new daddy would love the kids just the same.

I meant hopefully he will buy a house in PA close to the kids & give up the place in NY

The big difference is, IMO, is Kate doesn't appear to want to keep the dogs. Jon does. Then he should make it happen, and not blame Kate. There is another house he could live in. If he wanted to keep them, he could find a way, and not have Kate have to take care of them, since she has said (according to him), she doesn't want to.

I think it was disgusting of him to call the kids out to say goodbye to their pups, to get their reaction on tape. If Kate had been there and done the same thing I would still think it was disgusting.

Oh no, I absolutely think Kate is the reason the dogs are leaving, but Jon was able to take a bad situation and make it worse. He likes the dogs, yet he's giving them up?

Do as Kate says + be unhappy about the outcome = Classic Jon Gosselin.

Maybe he thinks he can guilt Kate into keeping the dogs (I can see it now: "Kate claims Jon sent the dogs away against her wishes") but that won't fix the problem. The Humane Society will be back and they'll take the dogs away for good.

Kids and puppies can sell anything. :rolleyes1

Just more of the same. Selfishness plain and simple.

So what is Kate for not wanting the dogs. You know, the ones they gave the kids for a Christmas present? (I know they weren't really a present, but that is the script as presented for the 'getting the dogs' episode of their life).

Hi everyone, I have been lurking on this thread for quite some time now. I really enjoy the discussions and give and take. However, I just don't think I can watch J&K any longer. The last few days has been just too much, this is just getting too sad for the kids. At the beginning of this whole thing back in May I thought it might be a publicity stunt, they would kiss and get back together. There is no way that could happen now. Just too, too much bad stuff to get over.
I hope and pray that Jon and Kate get a clue and realize what they are doing to their children. As well as what really is important in life, and that is NOT money. :sad2:

I would of loved to hear the phone call of crying Cara telling Mommy that Daddy was taking the dogs away back to the breeder because there was no one to take care of them. Gee, I hope she didn't bother Kate when she was getting her nails or hair done for the "View" tomorrow. Maybe it was when her and Steve were deciding where to go out for dinner! I hope Kate takes the "high road" on this one. So what that she has been out of town all week trying to secure a talk show. She does everything for her kids!! Maybe someone will donate one of those little "lap" dogs that Kate thought they were getting initially. I seriously hope that the court appoints a law guardian for these kids. With these two numbskalls as parents they need someone looking out for them.

Kate is just being Kate -- you know, the same person who threatened to throw a teddy bear in the garbage because it had gum on it.

Every... single.... day.... it's something with these 2. :sad2:

Exactly.

But I guess this is normal when you're fighting a war, I mean, a divorce. Same diff. popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

did anyone catch where Jon said they'd had the dogs a year in October?

Quite an early Christmas present, LOL.

ITA! Some comments for the article about Jon's new lawyer said that his new lawyer likes to play dirty. I wonder if that's true and if the video was his lawyer's idea?

I wonder why Jon and Kate can't just have the nanny or babysitter take care of the dogs. I thought I read in this thread that they have a live-in nanny plus babysitters? With that help, does it really have to be so much work that they have to get rid of them? I feel bad that the kids are going to have another "lost" this year. However, if the dogs really are being mistreated, this could be a good thing for the dogs.

Working for a cat rescue group, people get animals for all sorts of reasons. Often, for the kids. It just doesn't always work out, and while animals should never be expendable, it happens, and most often in divorce cases. Sharing the load each day, I guess it seemed doable, even thought most of us on this board never thought it would work with Kate. She was never the type that we thought would have animals. I don't know if her and Jon had an agreement, OK, we can get them, but I don't want to take care of them, or any other agreement about the dogs. Or maybe they didn't. But now, she doesn't want them. It's not the same as giving up a child (I admit for some it would be, after all these years in veterinary service), and if a dog becomes more work than you are willing to give, people do give them up.

If Jon doesn't want to give them up, then he can pony up and find a way to keep them. He did say they are staying at his breeder's, so maybe he's working on that.

At times we've discussed the point of the dogs in this already crazy busy families life, and some thought they were meant more as guard dogs. Maybe the little bit we've seen the kids with them is it..maybe they are guard dogs and let lose at night. Maybe the kids aren't overly attached to them, and that's why Jon isn't fighting to keep them.

We'll prob never know the whole of it, but it boils down to, Kate (according to Jon) doens't want to keep them (and her reasons may be selfish, they may be valid, I have no idea. I'm just happy they didn't send them to my house), Jon says he does. So, Jon, act on that.

So what is Kate for not wanting the dogs. You know, the ones they gave the kids for a Christmas present? (I know they weren't really a present, but that is the script as presented for the 'getting the dogs' episode of their life).

And that was just horrible of her. For me, that threat was the worse I can remember, of anything else that has happened on the show. I understand she was furious about the gum, but that was prob the single most hurtful thing I've seen on the show.

Kate is just being Kate -- you know, the same person who threatened to throw a teddy bear in the garbage because it had gum on it.
