What was the GMA interview-did Jon actually say something? or did GMA just do some kind of report like Access Hollywood.

I can't believe Jon made the cover of US magazine over Jessica Simpson.

He gave an interview to People (complete with klassy pics of him and his lovely lady), GMA were discussing it and there was a reporter from People there as well, on the whole fairly negative towards Jon.

I imagine it must be 45 days of not talking about each other, since he just gave an interview.

I am almost speechless. To me, all Jon has done this last week is to show that Kate obviously had a good reason to be the way she was. And he sure used up all the sympathy points he might have had. Does he not have a brain in his head? He really is like a child.

I really don't believe the engagment rumor, but even without that, Jon looks like a complete selfish idiot and is so full of himself he can't see it at all. It's mind boggling.

Whether he wanted to sabotage his marriage and the show or not, I would say there is no turning back now. He's done more in the last 3 weeks to make TLC cancel the contract -- I just have to believe that he knew how this would be seen, probably even tipping off the paparazzi (why else would they look for him in St. Tropez) -- he must really have hated doing the show. Such a guy-move. I'd say he's pretty angry about something, whether or not it's justified (it usually isn't)

I'm not sure I agree with the idea that Jon has done anything to make TLC cancel their contract. If anything, the newest drama creates MORE interest in the show. This is a network that thrives on freak shows.

We don't know the details of the contract, either... does it have a clause that says Jon is not allowed to take a business trip to France on his off (from the children) days? Or he must wait a certain amount of time before showing up in public with someone else? Don't get me wrong, he's acting like an immature FOOL right now... but I don't know how that relates to the business of having the realest reality show out there.

According to Kate, her relationship with Jon has been troubled for months. Jon's behavior may not be a surprise to her or the people associated with the production of the show.

One thing is very clear to me, though. Kate got custody of the PR people. No doubt about it.

2 things jump out at me...they say, "where is your GIRLFRIEND?" and he says "still there, I had to come back to film" 1) he doesn't even attempt to deny she is a "girlfriend" and more importantly..2) he doesn't say "I need to come back to be with the kids" or "gotta get back to the children" or the "family" he says "I HAD TO COME BACK TO FILM". To me, that is proof, it is all a show and job to him. Not about he kids. He wasn't coming back to be a Dad and happen to be filmed while being a dad. He was coming back to film. Truly they are all actors in their own lives.

I thought filming wasn't suppose to start until August? Or is that when the new episodes are planned to air? So confused. So are they going to do one Jon episode then one Kate episode or do half and half? What do you think?

Was it "Blindgossip.com" that had the rumors that one of the Gosselins was expecting again? We figured it was him because Kate is WAY to controlling to have an "accidental" pregnancy. We had no idea it was this chick though. I bet she is prego. She is a whacko needing attention and what better way to get lifelong attention but to have a brother or sister to the 8 little piles of cash? It will look just like them (half asian). This is going to be a wild ride in the media!

Have you seen all the pictures of this girl splattered all over the internet? There is one of her where she had passed out in a hotel plant after knocking it over and dirt was everywhere while she's crumpled into a the wall like a complete idiot.

Absolutely classless. Her parents have to be completely mortified with her.

Google her name...it's as entertaining as they come.

I don't see her caring if she's smoking or drinking a glass of champagne when pregnant either...neither one of them are out to win points for being role models.

I saw this coming like a speeding train. I've said before I wouldn't post on these boards, but I'm sucked back in again.
Jon is exactly like my ex, but 8 years younger. I was somewhat like Kate, a bit OCD and I kind of took the bull by the horns in my marriage. If I didn't, nothing would have ever gotten done. My ex was like Jon - loving to the kids, enjoyed playing/hanging out. My ex turned 40, bought a sports car. Stayed out all night one night, had an excuse which I foolishly believed. Anyway, 6 days before our WDW trip with his family - he says he's not happy and walks out. (16 years of marriage, 20 together and 3 kids). Fast forward - he went on a cruise with his girlfriend while I took the kids to WDW. Got engaged to her. I filed for divorce and he married her 2 months after the divorce was final. The whole process took almost 1 year from the day he walked out until the day he married her.
Why did I tell all this? I guess because I see a parallel with our lives. Both Jon and my ex have completely "checked out". Jon talks like my ex, monotone, no emotion, poor me, I'm free, blah blah blah. People have always bashed Kate because of her take charge attitude, but with 8 kids, who's to say how you would act? I like Kate's OCD attitude over that other mom, Jenny? with the new show about sextuplets. Those kids are running in the street, playing in bathtubs, (at a hotel, unsupervised) Never dressed or have their hair comb. Crazy over there. Do I agree with the family being put on tv? Not sure. I don't think anyone could have imagined how it would turn out. When things started to go bad they probably should have bailed, but I'm sure there was a contract in place. My heart breaks for those kids and for Kate. I know how terrifying it is being alone with 3 kids - can't imagine 8. No one deserves to be treated the way Kate is. I can't imagine how it feels to actually see your ex with his girlfriend splashed all over tv and magazines. That is a giant slap in the face. I'm sure those kids won't even be able to walk into a grocery store/Target for a long time because their parents are splashed all over the magazines. Very, very sad situation.

I've been following these threads and not posting but I wanted to tell you I am so very sorry for what you went through with your Ex.

I love it! Jon better hire some quick. I'm for hire for the next month b4 school starts back. Here is my advice 1) loss the earrings, fake tan, cigarettes and shirts designed 20ish set 2) choose a girlfriend that isn't a barely legal, daughter of a family friend and then tell her to put on some clothes.

I didn't look to me like Jon was taking his turn with the kids...it looked to me like he was at home riding his motorcycle.

Oh my goodness sakes alive! When the news of the Gosselin's divorce came out, I was really saddened by the whole thing. While I thought that Jon's behavior in the end was apalling, I also thought that Kate bore a good bit of responsibility for the marital problems due to her complete lack of respect for Jon. While I still believe that husbands need respect as deeply as wives need love, Jon's latest behavior absolutely disgusts me! What on earth is he thinking. He is certainly not helping himself when it comes time to sort out the child custody details. Those poor children having to see this info splattered all over the TV, newsstands, web, etc. I know he says they are his primary concern, but his behavior does not bear that out at all. Poor Kate! I hate to say it, but I have a feeling that he won't really be there for the children long-term. It seems like he wants out of his entire old life, though I hope for the children's sake that isn't true.

I have to keep reminding myself that this is real and not just a tv show with writers thinking up this drama. Seems too crazy to be true. Those poor kids!
