I loved the In Touch article about Jon being engaged - $180k engagement ring which is diamonds surroundig a black skull. Classy!

Sure -- here's part of the text that went with it, pretty much the same as the interview:

The outing of the relationship comes less than three weeks after he and his wife, Kate Gosselin, publicly announced they would get a divorce after a decade of marriage.

"I just let her rule the roost and do what she wanted to do and went along with everything and now I finally stood up on my own two feet and I'm proud of myself," Jon Gosselin said on the couple's popular reality television show.

Glassman is described as a wild child who was once arrested for marijuana possession. She is the daughter of the plastic surgeon who performed Kate Gosselin's tummy tuck in 2006. And at least one expert said Jon Gosselin's parading of his new relationship could be a way for him to send a clear message.

"If someone engaging in these behaviors walked into your office, I would think about revenge, a fairly hostile act," said family therapist Terry Real, who hasn't treated the Gosselins. "I would be wondering if this wasn't some sort of a declaration and the person in the marriage felt emasculated."

Real said by introducing Glassman to the public so soon after his failed marriage, Jon Gosselin could be trying to declare his independence and show that he is strong, not weak.

During their European holiday in St. Tropez, France, Jon Gosselin and Glassman met with fashion designer Christian Audigier, who is now in talks with Jon Gosselin to design a clothing line inspired by his love of motorcycles, to be called Hollywood Rebel.

The pair also reportedly partied all night at clubs, dined on lobster and shopped at Prada.

As Jon Gosselin and Glassman's relationship gains more visibility, Kate Gosselin has been photographed continuing her normal routine in Wernersville, Pa.
She has been seen shopping for groceries and taking care of the Gosselins' twins and sextuplets.

Kate Gosselin also ignored questions from the paparazzi about her soon-to-be-ex's new romance.

Jon Gosselin said, "Kate and I agreed to a 45-day period in which we wouldn't talk about each other."

Despite his flashy new fashion career and romance, Jon Gosselin told People magazine his children remain his top priority.

"Every 10 minutes I keep thinking about the kids and missing them," he said.

But Real said if Jon Gosselin was really thinking about the kids he wouldn't have introduced another woman into the equation until after his divorce was finalized, because it does not send a good message about commitment or restraint.

RE the 45 day period -- it was mentioned in the GMA article that they were not to talk about each other for 45 days, not that they weren't supposed to talk to the press.

And given details of the relationship with Deanna that are now proving to be incorrect, I don't have much faith in the engagement story with Hailey.

I saw this coming like a speeding train. I've said before I wouldn't post on these boards, but I'm sucked back in again.
Jon is exactly like my ex, but 8 years younger. I was somewhat like Kate, a bit OCD and I kind of took the bull by the horns in my marriage. If I didn't, nothing would have ever gotten done. My ex was like Jon - loving to the kids, enjoyed playing/hanging out. My ex turned 40, bought a sports car. Stayed out all night one night, had an excuse which I foolishly believed. Anyway, 6 days before our WDW trip with his family - he says he's not happy and walks out. (16 years of marriage, 20 together and 3 kids). Fast forward - he went on a cruise with his girlfriend while I took the kids to WDW. Got engaged to her. I filed for divorce and he married her 2 months after the divorce was final. The whole process took almost 1 year from the day he walked out until the day he married her.
Why did I tell all this? I guess because I see a parallel with our lives. Both Jon and my ex have completely "checked out". Jon talks like my ex, monotone, no emotion, poor me, I'm free, blah blah blah. People have always bashed Kate because of her take charge attitude, but with 8 kids, who's to say how you would act? I like Kate's OCD attitude over that other mom, Jenny? with the new show about sextuplets. Those kids are running in the street, playing in bathtubs, (at a hotel, unsupervised) Never dressed or have their hair comb. Crazy over there. Do I agree with the family being put on tv? Not sure. I don't think anyone could have imagined how it would turn out. When things started to go bad they probably should have bailed, but I'm sure there was a contract in place. My heart breaks for those kids and for Kate. I know how terrifying it is being alone with 3 kids - can't imagine 8. No one deserves to be treated the way Kate is. I can't imagine how it feels to actually see your ex with his girlfriend splashed all over tv and magazines. That is a giant slap in the face. I'm sure those kids won't even be able to walk into a grocery store/Target for a long time because their parents are splashed all over the magazines. Very, very sad situation.

Augh! He is such a pig! What a jerk. I guess when he said he's proud of himself for standing up to Kate, that meant getting a trashy girlfriend. Now it makes sense, why he looked happy when he said on the show that he was excited about this new chapter in his life.

No wonder Kate did that interview with People Mag., she knew what Jon was up to and wanted to set the record start. He's such an idiot. Those kids deserve better than having a Dad who cares so little for their Mom that he has affairs and then parades his new GF around for the world to see. What a lovely People Mag. cover THAT is. Oh I hope the twins don't see that. Maybe instead of Jon having the 45 day rule about Kate, it should be 45 days of no girlfriends! I'm disgusted even though I had my suspicions.

That is my point. People should be focusing on Jon not on this girl. He is the one with the problem. He is immature and acting like an a$$. I am not excusing her and saying she is ok for the things that she is doing. What I am saying is that he should be the focus and not what this girl did 5 years ago. I think it is kind of silly.

I think focusing on Jon's bad choice of companionship (ie focusing on "the girl") is completely fine. Her bad past behavior says a lot about his current choice making abilities. Plain and simple- this is bad for him and great for Kate. Keep showing the world who you REALLY are Jon- your soon to be ex wife appreciates it I'm sure!!

Whats next a wedding registry to Hot Topic or better yet Walmart where they can get those bridal truckdriver hats, or better yet His and Hers Drink hats.

I wonder when will the madness end, are we doomed to see a sleazier Jon wearing silk Hardy shirts, overly tanned and sipping margaritas out of a novelty cup? Will his plastic surgeon future father-in-law botox Jon's face so much he can blink his lips?

All I can say is, those poor kids. I hope that one day Jon gets a kick in the butt and actually be a dad and not a (blank).

Exactly! I think all the Jon supporters are starting to realize the truth - yes, he was having an affair, yes, he did start the rumors about Kate having an affair just to detract from his own affair, yes, he is a ridiculous overgrown child.

I have never been a "fan" of Kates, but I sympathize with her and the children right now. Jon is turning out to be even worse than I could have ever imagined.

I am absolutely disgusted in Jon. If they end up going on with the show I sure hope it is without Jon. I just can't stand to even look at him anymore. He is such an idiot. If he cared for his kids one bit like he claims he does than he wouldn't be acting the way he is right now. It is just so disgusting.

A couple of posters have said that the new chick is sporting a little belly (they might have mixed it up with Jon's belly)..and rumors were there was a pregnancy. I thought I had read that Jon was snipped, so it most likely is a rumor.

I am so happy Jon seems to be showing his true colors. I like to believe in my first gut reactions and I have distrusted Jon since the first time I watched him! I think the DISER who said Jon wants to be a teenager and Kate wants to the grownup in control was right! I think he was, at the very least having an emotional affair for quite awhile. Kate has a strong personality; it is possible he could never handle that and just pretended!

I couldn't get the whole thing to play .. is this another one of those pieces where that girl from People magazine talks to the media?.... like they did with Kate right after they announced the split?

Love it! I thought starting with the last couple of episodes. I teach in a high school and I see lots of new teachers that have trouble dressing and acting like an adult and they just end up looking silly. Jon has reminded me of that lately.

I wonder what Kevin and Jodi think now?

Wow - Jon has sure managed to turn the pity train around! Kate is the conductor and Jon the cow standing on the tracks What an idiot. The 'men are from Mars' school of thought is SO TRUE!!!! I wonder if there are any men on this thread who can feel some sympathy or understanding towards Jon, because I would say universally the women think he is a disgusting pig! I really hope Kate continues to take the high road and, if she hasn't already, she will soon look back on this marriage and thank her lucky stars that she is finally out of it! Not to say she is perfect or anything, but I definately have much more empathy towards her in this latest fiasco!
