It's ok, I'm jealous of their storage. Weird, I know. I love the Expedit bookcase. They're not expensive, either, but I just can't justify buying it when I don't need it. Ho-hum.
You are really going to laugh...after the storage episode I went and bought the Expedit bookcase, it is EXACTLY what I needed but I never go to Ikea so I had never seen them before the episode. Their storage solutions are great though...did you notice the little cubbies they have for the shoes near the front door? You got to give them credit, for having ten people in the house they know how to organize!
Absolutely! I'm an organizer/planner, so I'm always glancing in the background to see what bins and bookcases are here and there. Yep, nerd.
I think Kate should stop saying it because it makes her sound rude and entitled. If you think you and/or your kids deserve a 6000+ square foot spread for whatever reason, who goes around saying it?
We filter as adults because somewhere along the way we learn if we don't it hurts people's feelings and makes us abrasive and unapproachable. When the kids thanked her for the pups and she said, "You're not welcome" that is hurtful, and a terrible example of manners. When she's talking about the breeder and quotes him with "blah, blah, blah" that is rude and hurtful. You know he watched and probably told everyone he knows to. She has done this before (at the RR).
In this life, most of us are trying to build meaningful relationships with the ones we love; in the end that is all any of us has. She doesn't appear to be working it that direction. I think that is why she is so controversial. She is like a fictional character on a soap opera to me. I don't know anyone remotely like she appears to be.
Again, that is just who she is. We can all have our opinions on what we think she/they should or shouldn't do, but that's all they are...opinions. I also, seriously, think that the show would not be nearly as popular if Kate weren't, well, Kate.
So, you don't think she's building meaningful relationships with her children based on the 22 minutes a week we see them?
