Jodi's bridal journal (posts welcome) - I'm back!

AWESOME! you are doing so great! Keep it up :cheer2: Just imagine those inches melting away!

Jodi, your trainer sounds AWESOME! I am so glad she can provide you with the information and answers you need to stay motivated and on track. You are doing great and will look like a BILLION bucks on your big day!!

I am really proud of you and your motivation to hit Goal!

Jodi,

I love your engagement photo! You guys make such a cute couple!!!

You continue to do a fabulous job, Jodi! I know that you will make your goals happen! :cheer2:

Thanks for the great compliment Carol and Tracy! Everyone is so excited that our announcement was in the paper! Now it feels a little bit more official since the newspaper announcement! Weird and I don't know how to explain it.

Today we met with a florist that was recommended by our DJ, and I have to say I absolutely love the florist - I really didn't know what to ask but she talked us through everything and had catalogs of her work which made it incredibly easy. Total estimate was a little over $700.00, I didn't think that was too bad but Bob was a little bit surprised and in our area it is pretty much average..... a lot of the florists are quite a bit more to be honest. My bouquet is going to made of Calla Lillies :cloud9: I love them and that is exactly what I was looking for.

I told Bob and everyone else that I am dead set against the bouquet toss and garter toss but I kind of want to surprise him now - I'm thinking about conspiring with my DJ and florist to make the thing work -- Do you guys think that it would be too mean to do that? I'm already going to be surprising him with wearing a veil - something that I wasn't originally going to do.

I am a little disappointed with this weekend - Bob had to already go home because of our snow storm (we don't live together yet). I was hoping to go over honeymoon stuff - I had just bought the Cirque Du Soleil DVD of the La Nouba show.....We haven't decided whether or not to go and see the show, this would be a deciding factor. Well, chances are we won't get to watch the DVD (at least not together). Did any of you go to the La Nouba show? What did you think? Is it worth it?

Well, I will post my workouts from the week later.....Just a little lazy right now!

Jodi

Hi Jodi,

All your plans sound so wonderful. I get excited just reading about them!!!!

The snow is hitting us hard now, too. I'm sorry it messed up your plans with Bob.

I'm glad to hear our WISH Buff Bride (WBB) is doing great :cheer2:

 Hi Jodi,
Your announcement looks lovely! Thanks for sharing it. As for Cirque, I have not gone to the show but I have only heard wonderful things about it :D . Stay safe and warm during this blizzard.

AWESOME photo for your announcement. No wonder your families were thrilled! The two of you look so great. :groom: :bride:

Congrats on finding a good florist. I loved mine and got exactly what I wanted. I really enjoyed my flowers and their lovely scents. :flower3:

Not too sure about surprising him with the flower toss/garter toss since it is something he will be involved with. Of course my DH surprised ME at our garter toss, but I have a good sense of humor.

We haven't seen Cirque at WDW, but have watched several of their shows on the Bravo channel. It is amazing with the performers can do! The $$ has been the deciding factor for us, since we typically travel with more than just our immediate family. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Jodi, I just got caught up on your journal. Your weight and body fat % are amazing!! :earseek: Just don't go too low, OK?

I checked out your engagement announcement and the photo is wonderful. You are just beautiful!! You and your DH2B make a lovely couple.

I chose to do the bouquet toss and garter toss at my reception, but did NOT do the money dance (where people pay to dance with the bride and groom). My DH is shy and would not have enjoyed it - no reason to put him through it - but my Mom was upset that I broke tradition. It's YOUR day - do whatever works for you and your fiance. Let your heart guide you, and not what OTHER PEOPLE say.

Best wishes for a wonderful Wednesday! :flower:

Oh thanks Doe! :) What great compliments! Don't worry I won't go too low, Bob is worried about that too :teeth: I tend to over do things sometimes ;)

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I know that I've been away for awhile. I haven't been able to get to the gym on a regular basis due to the weather.....I am terrified of the ice.

I did make it to the gym tonight though.....It felt great! I love going to the gym and I really missed going - I need to workout, it keeps my attitude in check....I tend to get grumpy if I haven't been to the gym. It's really strange and I've noticed today that I am a little bit more in shape that I give myself credit for; today I went down to breakfast with one of my co-workers and we decided to take the stair ups to the floor that we work on - I work on the 6th floor and she works on the 7th and she was getting out of breathe by the fourth floor, I wasn't! It hasn't always been that way though, I remember when I first started I used to take the stairs all of the time and got winded - it feels great! I could always help get my friend in shape and give her tips.

I've been researching the new Disney Magic your way packages and it is so tough - a lot of what we want is not programmed into the system yet! I checked with AAA and they were more money than if I booked with Disney directly - I keep on hoping for a magic discount email or postcard from the happiest place on earth....I keep on reading on one of the other boards how people are getting postcards and getting amazing rates on their hotel, I wish I would get one....It would really help out.

Okay - Well, here's my workout from tonight:
Treadmill - 20 minutes, Weight loss setting, difficulty 4
Arc Trainer - 15 minutes, weight loss setting, difficulty 4
Crossramp - 15 minutes, glute setting, difficulty 2
Benchpress - 10 pounds (bar weighs 45 pounds), 10 reps, 3 sets
Wide Chest press - 50 pounds, 10 reps, 1 set - 60 pounds, 10 reps, 2 sets
Tricep extension - 45 pounds, 12 reps, 1 set - 50 pounds, 10 reps, 2 sets
Tricep cable - 40 pounds, 10 reps,3 sets
Shoulder press - 5 pounds, 12 reps, 3 sets
Shoulder press (machine)- 20 pounds, 10 reps, 1 set- 30 pounds, 10 reps, 2 sets
Bicep curl - 20 pounds, 10 reps, 1 set - 25 pounds, 10 reps, 2 sets
Push up (on stability ball) - 12 reps, 2 sets
That's it!!!

I really should have started with the push-ups first - I was pooped by the time that I got to them, only got to do two sets :earseek:

I know I still owe my other workouts from a week ago - but I am a bit tired tonight....Hopefully over the weekend.

Jodi

Hi Jodi

Your workout looks great as always!!! I get really grumpy, aggitated, antsy, and all around down when I miss my workouts. I think the brain gets dependent on the endorphins.

Six floors without getting winded is great! I have 4 floors where I work. I always take the stairs now. It is great to feel the progress!!!!!

Your doing FABULOUS :cheer2:

Hi Jodi,

It would be great if we could be "gym rats" together!!!!! You are doing so great!

I am laying low for a while. I took my journal offline. I'll start a new one in a while. In the meantime, I'll just visit everyone else!
