Quick update: got home this afternoon. Charlotte is adjusting well so far. She loves to eat and doesn't like to be put down. Family is here now, and as soon as I get a chance i will update with pics. Heard about today, well at least there will be a fresh set of ears.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Can't wait for pictures of her and we wanna see the new crib too! :cheer2:

I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment ;) ...

I just can't do it! :lmao:

And I'm sooo glad I've got to mow like crazy and go to Disney next month or I'd be activating my Twitter account and creating my own FB just to join the mobs trying to get HLN off the air, it's one of the things both sides of this case can agree about! :upsidedow

This is the only good news that came out of today! I am so happy for you and your family! :thumbsup2

Please don't compare George Zimmerman with Jodi Arias. George Zimmerman is innocent. He has evidence of being punched and smacked around by Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman didn't plan on shooting Trayvon Martin. JA planned her murder. It's like night and day. And if you want to debate the case open a new thread.
OMG!!! This is hilarious! :lmao: Do you read every other post or something? Someone asked if HLN was going to show the Jodi Arias Penalty Phase AND the George "Martinez" case at the same time. I corrected "Martinez" to "Zimmerman". PERIOD. :lmao:

And "newbie" ;)...start your own thread about George Zimmerman if you want to debate the case; you're the only one on this thread who is. :confused3

:love: So nice to hear from you! Isn't snuggling with a baby just delicious? Congrats "Mom"!
Is there a full moon tonight? :rolleyes2 ;) :lmao:
Apparently!! :lmao:
HLN AfterDark just announced the jury verdict count ... 8 for death ... 4 for life...
I wonder how it was split gender-wise. Hopefully we'll hear more about what transpired.

They have an interesting thought process, that's for sure. The one I know could go from your best friend to your worst enemy if that's what suited their purpose at the time. :rolleyes:

The articles about hung juries from AZCentral was very interesting. Hard to believe.
Oh, yeah. ::yes:: It's a "challenge" to say the least.

A few things: Piglet, I'm so glad that Charlotte is adjusting well and you're home where you can finally settle into a routine. Don't forget that T-Man pointed out an extra 40% baby Disney clothing at the Disney Store! I can't wait to see your baby piglet, bet she's more precious than words can describe. Too bad you can't pass her around for all of us to hold, how I miss holding babies!!!

Mare- You crack me up. You're seriously good stuff and always the voice of reason- even when you get punchy. Thank you for many of your comments.

WDW in Pearls- I don't think most of us here are thirsty for death for JA, but due to the events that happened then and now, almost everybody wants her freedoms to be taken from her. Jodi adapts well to any situation that she's in and without doubt probably finds a lot of positives in jail and the lack of clothing changes, cramped quarters and a few other things are just minor inconviences. She's made friends, she's still living a life. Her narcissim, defiant attitude, inability to apologize or feel remorse lends to the strong dislike for her. She has somehow maintained control throughout this whole thing and needs to be knocked down. Plus, the whole sentencing a person to death isn't a certainty when that's what the jury agrees to, appeals are in place to make sure things are kept fair.

WPack- The words that you spewed about the jury are vile. It's not the result any of us wanted, but none of us went off the deep end like you. The 4 jury members who were not for death should not have to worry about any threats or anything else. They did their job. There were three options, Life, Death and Unable to have an unanimous decision. You can't fault people for reasons you're unaware of. Religion, personal beliefs, or mitigating factors may have played a role in their decision and it is what is it. As so many have mentioned before, until you're in their shoes, you can't say for certain what you would do. Especially when they didn't have all the information that we had. I think you need to relax and maybe take a step away from the case for a while if it's going to fill you with such rage.

Ahhhh forgot who else I wanted to direct comments to (since I failed to quote anybody). I do believe it will be difficult to find a jury who hasn't been exposed to this case in one way or another. I also believe that there will possibly be potential jurors who will claim they know nothing even though they're completely invested. Hahaha, Perky Katie is going to end up on the jury!

The other thing that I thought about was the date that the new trial will pick up, July 18. Isn't Travis' birthday July 24 or 25? Wouldn't it be an amazing birthday present to him for the new jury to render a verdict that ends everything? The first half of the conviction has went well and I just have to hold out faith that what is meant to be, will be.

Last thing: Wild tweeted earlier about the Marlboro man walking to court this morning and he wanted to give him a ride. Juror 9 who left the courthouse on foot and was hounded by media was the marlboro man. Maybe he just needed to clear his head and not be around the other jurors, especially if he was very set in his decision and couldn't be swayed or couldn't sway somebody else. I pray that the entire panel of jurors are able to return to their lives and let things die down before they come out. I saw somebody on here who wanted blood for the holdouts, you know there are others like that in real life.

Okay, done. Hope everybody has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend (my favorite holiday!!!), release the stress with some drinks!

Ahahahhahahah I don't know why I was thinking that you wanted to see pics of Jodi (perhaps in her stripes) and you wanted to see her new "crib" at the prison. DOH!!! :rotfl2:

When in June are you going to Disney? I was thinking 3rd, but I'm usually wrong. Hope you don't melt out there. While you're there, I will need you to slip somebody at Ohana some cash to accidentally delete a reservation for 2 on September 22 so that I can make my ADR (Can you believe there is not a single time available for 2 people over an 8 day period?!?!?!) Arrrrright go get busy with packing and stuff.

You were comparing Jodi Arias with George Zimmerman.

Don't bully me, ok. I can read.

Um when she wrote George Zimmerman, she was referring that to my name mix up on a post. In which I was saying perhaps both trials will be around the same time.

Thank you for the update Pigletgirl!! I'm so happy that she is home and doing so well. :goodvibes We really needed that good news today!!

I think I am still in shock by the out come of today. :guilty:

I have the right to be angry at them for not finishing their job and as I stated before I don't care if you or anybody else agrees with me. I can state how I feel about this just like anyone else can, I am not gonna apologize for being passionate about this trial.

Oh and religion and personal beliefs ARE NOT a reason for why this jury can say no to a death verdict and it be ok, because they were ALL asked before the trial started "Could you give the Death Penalty?", so if you could not because of religious rules or personal beliefs they should of marked "No" on their questionnaire.

I personally hope that religion and/or personal beliefs were not the reason that any of the 4 people that said no did so, because if it was then they lied on their questionnaire and their lie did nothing, but cause pain for TA's family in the end!

I never said they should be physically harmed or anything like that as you and others seem to be implying, I would never say that and I have not.

However, if they lied on their questionnaire and KNEW the whole time that they COULD NOT render the DP on a case this massive & important, that has gone on this long and cost this much money to BOTH the state and Travis's own family then some blame falls on them. Those people could have and should have asked off the case, knowing that when it came to this stage they could not properly, or fairly do their job.

Oh and don't to tell me what to do, do I tell what you should think or feel and/or how you should act? No, so don't tell or suggest what I should do in regards to this case or anything else for that matter. I don't appreciate that one bit.

Here is her quote again. She says Jodi will do her best to work the system, like no other.George Zimmerman?

Seems like a comparison to George Zimmerman to me. At least that's how I read it.

Which reminds me PIGLETGIRL! Here's a GREAT product, you must be sure to have on hand. And the name makes me crack up every time I see it!

Bully. ;) LOL

At 23:35:10 EST* on Thursday, 23 May 2013 the waxing moon's phase was 98.53% full. (Or, to be more precise, 98.530221539567% full.)

So, there you go.

"like no other.George Zimmerman?"

I changed the period color to red. Those are TWO DIFFERENT thoughts. Mare said "George Zimmerman?" In reference to hereyago posting "George Martinez".

No one is bullying you. Stop trying to start arguments when their are none. We have been through 8 threads about this trial and have never had problems until today.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyone needs to just calm down, we are all upset about the non decision today, but that is no reason to start being snarky to at each other.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Congrats Pigletgirl, so happy to hear that Charlotte is home.

The State vs Jodi Arias ~ Travis Alexander murder trial

A message to you, from juror 17:

Hello all! I was sent to this page thanks to a friend of mine now that I am able to see and hear things! I was juror 17 and later on I was chosen as an alternate. I was so disappointed and upset to hear my number called after all the time and work I put into this trial! Today was a hard day for the jury but it was also a very hard day for me!! To say I am devastated is an understatement! I feel so much pain that I can't even begin to imagine what Travis's family is feeling! Although today's outcome wasn't what I wanted and probably most of you as well, I just ask that you remember we are all human and no matter which juror voted which way, it was a very hard decision for all of them! I want to send my love and prayers to Travis's family and I really hope they get the right outcome next time!!!
