Yeah sorry about that, should have been more specific. I realize that's an irrational line of thought, but it always gets stuck in the back of my head. I've heard some screwed up stories (much worse than anything I've dealt with in my own life) so I guess that's why. Oddly enough I have no problem with her spending life in prison, even though that's arguably worse. I don't know...putting someone to death just doesn't sit well with me.

I'm sorry you misunderstood my sarcasm (the flame/insult thing) but if you're looking for an argument you're not going to get one. And unless someone has had close personal observation of that type of behavior, it may be hard to understand, but Jodi was an exceptional illustration (with pictures, no less).

And, yes, you did the right thing because you had to for your own mental health, but no doubt you are right, you have abused your sister miserably.

In general,I have not been a pro DP person. I've always been too concerned with mistakes. In this case, I feel very differently. It was so twisted and violent and she is so cold and calculated that I can't help thinking that she deserves the DP.

I have never been abused nor can I speak for anyone who has been but, IMHO she lied about the abuse. If I had been a battered woman, I would be outraged that she used that defense. She can potentially destroy cases down the line for those who really were using self-defense to stop an attack. I feel its just going to call every battered woman's motives into questions now. She has done more to hurt victims than help at this stage.

They have an interesting thought process, that's for sure. The one I know could go from your best friend to your worst enemy if that's what suited their purpose at the time.

The articles about hung juries from AZCentral was very interesting. Hard to believe.

White pony-tailed juror didn't take the court transportation...he walked out of the building and got followed by reporters. Have to say, JVM's account of the whole thing is pretty funny. The juror's only comment was "no comment".

Please don't compare George Zimmerman with Jodi Arias. George Zimmerman is innocent. He has evidence of being punched and smacked around by Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman didn't plan on shooting Trayvon Martin. JA planned her murder. It's like night and day. And if you want to debate the case open a new thread.

Isn't Donovan in trouble with her parole officer for associating with Jodi? I wonder how that works...if she can still talk to her on the phone? Someone else talking to her on the phone and passing the tweet along?

I think it's really kind of weird the way the family has hooked up with Donovan. She was usually the one pushing granny's wheelchair. Well, she can take Jodi's place at the holidays that poor Jodi is going to miss.

Donovan called into NG tonight and starting complaining about how upset she and JA's family were because they weren't in the courtroom when the verdict was read and basically trying to blame the court for it ... NG ripped into her and shut her down and didn't let her get another word in and then went to commercial and that was it with Donovan ...

I thought Donovan was not allowed to have any kind of contact with convicted felons due to being on parole ... so I would think talking on the telephone would be a violation too, however, the way she was talking to NG it sure sounded like she still has contact with JA somehow, someway ...
