Jodi Arias Trial Part 6, starting with JM Rebuttal April 16

ACK! Can someone give me a brief summary of the day? I thought there was no testimony today and was out at our house building site all day! HELP!

Juror 8 dismissed and the State called the ME as Rebuttal Witness, Witness testified that after gun shot TA would have quickly passed out, maybe taken a step or two but not much else....

Medical Examiner on the stand. JW trying to get him to agree with her at every turn, didn't work. Juror 8 was excused , no reason given. Bomb sniffing dog came in. Juan rested. Next wednesday starts at 9 am and will go until they are done. Court was let out.

:cheer2:

THANKS for the summaries!

For me, the one that puts me over the edge is when the DT (especially JA on the stand) speaks of "Travis passing away." He WAS NOT some 80 y.o. that died peacefully in his sleep! He DID NOT "pass away." He was shot, stabbed almost 30 times and nearly decapitated!" That is not "passing away." :headache:

Not SEE, she wants to RELIVE what she did. There is no remorse. :headache:

I agree. It gives her some kind of warped connection with him. She was the last one he saw.

I sooooo much agree with this. I felt the same way.

Don't anyone google Medical Examiner mistakes, they don't exist. ;)

I'm gonna remain optimistic that the State will make a tight case for premeditation so we get a guilty of 1st degree murder verdict.

I hope we stay on schedule for any surrebuttal and closing arguments. And I hope Willmott is the one giving closing arguments not Nurmi. :faint:

LOL, about mistakes by ME's, I'm sure it happens all the time. Bottom line is Arias butchered Travis. I don't know how many people have looked at the photos of Travis' body, but I did. I was sickened, and I believe when the jury is deliberating and looks at those photos, they are more powerful than any evidence presented. Couple that with the dying the hair, the "stolen" gun from Arias' grandparents' home, the three gas cans and you have premeditation.

In my mind, the fact that Arias lied multiple times, and was caught lying under oath, would invalidate her testimony if I was a juror. There is no way I believe she murdered him in defense, or that she was abused. They were in an unhealthy relationship, and it went both ways.

As for Nurmi, he talks so slow!!!!! I know two people, DH and I have nicknamed them slow and low, because the husband talks so slow and the wife talks so low that I zone out. I don't know what they are saying most of the time, so I just stick to drinking. :lmao:

According to WS, Juror #8 got into some legal trouble over the weekend and the Prosecutor asked for him to be dismissed.

And he wasn't even in court today according to a tweet.

It's important to note juror #8 was NOT in court today, his seat has been EMPTY ALL MORNING

Thanks for that information. Hmmm, I'm interested in the legal trouble, but it's none of my business. For all we know, he could of gotten into a bar room brawl.

I just received an update to the defense costs paid by the county. As of April 25, 2013, $1,687,328.21 have been paid. The previously released figure, $1,402,668.84 was as of March 28, 2013. This comes from Maricopa County Communications Director. #JodiArias

Per Beth Karas Facebook page.

Slow and Low would have me kicking in my bobble head act, just nodding the whole time, no telling what I'd be agreeing to. :rotfl:

Yup. She has always looked. She trys to hide her face put she will always look. She's a sick person. She wants to see what she did. :scared:

I thought so too, so looked then quickly looked away, as coached...but she sneaked a glimpse or two.

YES! And when they kept referring to it as an "incident":headache:

Mystery solved regarding ribbons worn by the families ... On JVM, they just said that TA's family wears blue ribbons for Travis and JA's family wears purple ribbons for domestic violence ... Guess someone from the JVM show reads this thread, as we were just talking about the color of the ribbons this morning ;) ...

Being the defense they have to say that, they only consider it a killing as it is defense. Can't say murder.

And that is exactly why I'd never be able to fairly represent a defendant.

Hopefully Nurmi (almost wrote numb-nuts :rotfl:) and Willie will go back to normal and not be haunted by this trial.... :rolleyes1:confused3

I am sitting here watching the judge ask the ME the first question. You could see Jodi almost panic and her breathing was very rapid. It almost seemed like she started shaking her head at him. She knows that that will hurt her , because there was no blood there in the bathroom.
