Is there a way to upload photos here? Wanted to post a photo of Disneys 7 dwarfs .... 6 have white beards and very red noses. I don't understand the witness when she claims she doesn't know how old they are! They're way past puberty and probably alcoholics!

Lol

Good Tuesday Morning, everyone!

Yes, it's true, I was cheating on you all with DWTS last night. :p I'm not the only one - Kar was over there last week!

I can't wait to see what JM has up his sleeve today. :hyper: How/when can he declare ALV to be a hostile witness? Most everything I know about trials I learned on Law & Order :rotfl: :lmao: , but it seems to me that if anyone is being uncooperative and a general PITB to pull answers from, it's her. Anyone know what the guidelines are for hostile witness declaration?

Glad to see you're feeling better, Remus!

So you're both leading double lives? Who led whom down this path? :scratchin

I know that in rebuttal I've seen attorneys recall witnesses who have already testified - only if they have additional information that can be used to rebut someone else's testimony. Is the ability to recall a witness limited to only being able to recall your own witness? I guess this is my long-winded way of saying, can only Nurmi/Wilmott recall Jodi to the stand or does Juan have that ability to recall her, too?

Has to be his witness, not a defense witness

Good question. :confused3

Good question. :confused3

Noooooo noooooo no more Jodi ! Please God NO! Lol

I think you can only call your own witnesses on the list previously submitted. Adding a new witness is a hairy deal and requires a hearing... Cause ya know nurmi would object.

Morning everyone!!!

BCF, lol, shhhhhhh no fair telling!!!! :lmao:

Ok you guys, I have some random way off the beaten path questions ….

Anyway I was wondering and surprised that NONE of Travis' neighbors heard the gunshot at or about 5:30pm on the 4th.

The other thing that surprised me was the discussion somewhere that when Mimi and the other friends went to Travis' house noted his car in the garage and definitely knew something was up, they got into his house and while the smell (as they reported) was staggering, Travis' roommate was in HIS room and they asked him if he had a key to Travis' bedroom which he did. WHY DID THE ROOMMATE NOT SMELL ANYTHING?

I have to go to the dentist today and get a tooth pulled that I paid $$ to have a root canal done on a few years ago! I will have my iPad with me, but will depend on you people to keep me updated!

Thanks!

I'm a little bit surprised on the noise as well. I live within 1/4 mile of two shooting ranges and during the warmer days, I hear gunshots non-stop. Doesn't matter if I'm inside or not. However, because she wasn't shooting a military assualt rifle (which makes A LOT of noise) or even something a little more muted like a shotgun or 9mm, the .25 could be nothing more than a small "pop" and while somebody may have heard it, they may not think gunshot. Because most people who live in a nice, residential neighborhood would never imagine that right away. At the same time, I hear the family about 4 houses down screaming at each other all the time- wouldn't somebody here him screaming?

The roommate has always seemed a bit fishy to me, but nothing specific. I do know that males don't have an acute sense of smell like a female, but rotting flesh, yeah I'd think you smell it. My dad lost 95% of his smell years ago and the only thing he seems to be able to smell is my brother's hag when she wears too much perfume/body spray...because he can smell strong smells...which would probably include a decomposing corpse. So yeah, either this roommate is a stinky individual who isn't bothered by bad smells, or he did smell it and somehow ignored it?

As far as the smell goes, lets not also forget that she turned the a/c up so it was cold in the house. You're less likely to smell the decomp in a cold house than you are a warm/hot house. Being in Mesa during the summer, I'm sure it wasn't unusual for the a/c to be cranked up.

I think the smell was mostly contained by first the shower door, then the bathroom door, then Travis's bedroom door. Once those doors were opened it permeated the area in a much bigger way.

My quoting isn't working. Again. :confused3

Just read Pebbles explanation about the gunshot and I agree. If you hear one "pop" and nothing else, you may not think twice about it, or even remember later that you heard it. Kind of like when you notice you have a bruise on your leg, but don't remember hitting it, altho when you hit it, you were aware you did. KWIM? (Using that example because I have a bruise on my leg that I couldn't remember getting, until days later when I again tripped on the computer cord again.)

About the smell. After college, I lived with another women and two guys. It was a huge issue that the other woman and I would complain about the smell from the refrigerator because people (the guys) wouldn't eat food and then not dispose of it, and we each had our own food. And the guys thought we were just nitpicky clean freak women. (My husband is SO not like this...he'd notice.) Granted, the smell of a decomposing body is different, but that could've been the day the smell was really picking up, and how bad a smell is is relative. Maybe that guy thought "it's not my house, not my dog, not my issue" (he had only been a roommate for 2 months, I think) and just hung out in his room.

:rotfl2:

And now my brother wants to know what's so funny. :lmao:

True, plus she did wash off his body which probably helped. And now that you mention it, wasn't Travis' room the only one on the second floor, plus there was a hallway to the bathroom. Hmm, I hate that all we can do is speculate.

When Jodi was talking to Det Flores she said her parents had a 25 caliber gun with a silencer on it. I kept thinking if she took that off the gun and used and it got disposed of when she got rid of the gun.

THANKS EVERYONE for weighing in on these random questions I had in my head that I wanted to run by you all. :thumbsup2

All very good points both about the possiblity of the gun being nothing more than a 'pop' and the smell and the a/c being on and all the doors!
