Hope this doesn't come back to haunt me someday that I'm a violent person LOL, but I'm going to say it anyway...I want to strangle Nurmi! All the "What was that last part you said?" or "What's that?" There are 4 possible reasons for his CONSTANTLY saying this:
1) He has a hearing problem.
2) He wants to emphasize the statement by having her repeat it.
3) He wants to give Jodi another chance to say what they had rehearsed, because the first time she didn't say it quite right.
4) He's determined to drag this on to twice as long as it would otherwise be by repeating almost everything.

When I watch the replay of some of the testimony, I realize how much I did miss, because my mind wanders. So Travis didn't like hair on her body nor his...OBVIOUSLY proof that he's a pedophile.

Nurmi's slow delivery of his words is on my last nerve, I wanna scream "talk faster, man, life is short."

And the constant waving of that left hand, knock it off, it's distracting.

I have been reading this thread daily and listening to HLN in the van. I have tried to not post because I was so wrapped up in the CA thread and I didn't want to become that involved in this trial, but I can't help myself.

I really think the defense attorneys made their physical changes and are wearing their showy accessories to take all the attention away from Jodi. I find them difficult to look at and I can't imagine seeing them in the courtroom.

Talk slow
Lead the witness
Repeat what the witness said
Draw attention to defense team with physical appearance changes

I wondered that too. Or is it so she doesn't have to explain getting rid of it? But she has to explain getting rid of the gun, so not sure why the knife should be any different.

I had a friend when I was in high school who told me that her mother had stabbed her father (not sure where on his body, or how badly) during a fight and he never told at the ER or the police. But I was at her house one time (she lived with her father...good choice, altho her mother seemed like a lovely lady LOL) and pulls out a knife to cut watermelon and whispered to me "This is the knife!"

I listen more than I watch. I'll be watching more today, since today is the killing day, so thank you for giving me another annoying feature to focus on. Nurmi not only makes sex sound boooorrrrring, but wonder if the jury is getting seriously numb to her defense case.

Welcome. I started this thread, not really intending to get overly wrapped up in the trial, but the more I learned about it, and then when Jodi actually got up to testify, how could I not get hooked.

The trial I am waiting for is WHITEY BULGER. While I live in SoCALI, I am from Boston. Lived there until 5 years ago. I would soooooo love to see HIM on trial. But I have the "Squeezebox" and I will listen to HOWIE CARR discuss the trial when it commences.

The other trial I would love to see is this young man, the "Blade Runner". That would/will be very interesting. What a beauty his gf was. OMG.
