Jingle Bell Jingle BAM Show at DHS with Dessert Party Details POST 8

I want Dec. 11th so hopefully can book it super soon. Might call for the 10th to have a back up but then it messes up our MK plans. Worst case we will skip the party and just watch the show :)

Just booked November 20; check-in at 7:45, event begins at 8, show at 9. About 35 minutes on hold.

Not interested in the dessert party...too much $$ IMO, but very happy to check out the show!

Gotta agree about the pricing and DW and I don't drink ( I believe an alcoholic drink usually served at these desserts parties, correct? --- the last dessert party we went to was the "old" Wishes dessert party)

We will, however, definitely go to HS twice on next trip (11/25-12/3) for this fireworks show !!

No one else book opening night! Oh why oh why didn't I stay at a resort so I could book my fast passes 60 days out....
We booked opening night as well. Not my first choice since it's one our friends in the media must do to get coverage but unfortunately it was our only option other than the 16 or 17 which are blackout. Regardless we are looking forward to seeing my it. Just another reason to come in 2017, assuming we can, to see Star Wars

On hold about 25 minutes and got 12/10 for 2 people. It took the CM a minute to find it, but she knew exactly what I was talking about and said she booked it for others earlier.

I just got reservations for Dec. 5th and Dec. 9th and boy did I have to work for it!

She was adamant that there was no availability for either date. I asked for another random date that week just out of curiosity - no availability. I explained how there have been some issues but all have been able to eventually book so could she please check again. She put me on hold to check with a manager. Came back and said that the 8pm times were all booked. Huh? I again politely explained that the time was actually at 5:45 for party, 6:45 for the show, and the park currently closes at 7pm. She looked at her page again and once again told me that no I was wrong and it was definitely at 8pm - perhaps I was misinformed. I then told her that I was looking at a screenshot of someone who had booked and it was very clearly at 5:45 pm - she then once again put me on hold to speak to her manager. She came back and said I'm sorry, this is new to us as it just popped up on our systems - we do in fact have 5:45pm available on both of your dates.......whew. I got 2 confirmation numbers so hopefully I'm all good.

Thanks so much to everyone for the info because in the past I would have just accepted her initial denial.

I booked my reservation for December 8th in the craziness of everyone else calling right when it was released this morning. I was on hold almost 30 minutes, but got a wonderful CM. She specifically said she knew she needed to search for the 5:45 time, so I do think that makes a difference in the search. I can't wait for the reviews to start coming in!

Mine did not show up automatically and I "amateurishly" believed the CM when she said it would show up in my MDE automatically so I also did not write down the number. So I called Dining via DVC and they were able to give me my numbers very quickly and she informed me that since it is considered a "special" event and not a dining event, that it won't show up automatically and would have to be linked. It linked fine once I had the number.

Just FYI I did write my confirmation # down but it also did show up in MDE automatically! I guess I got lucky too - my CM knew exactly what I wanted

So I am thinking that Santa wont be at MK this year then? I am waiting to hear when he will be at Disney Springs also this year?
it's been reported earlier this morning he'll be at DS, MK and HS

I read that some are saying CM are checking for the incorrect time in their system. I believe (if memory serves from up thread) that 7:45 is the correct time. Some CM were searching a 5:45 time slot by mistake. If still on the phone, ask the CM to check for other times

The CM also said "I have a 5:45 available", so it is possible they are looking by times, even though I asked for the special dining event and she did know what I was talking about. Hang in there, fellow Dis'ers!

Has anyone booked for 12/3? The cm said it was showing no availability and my TA thinks maybe they haven't loaded everything into the system yet. I'm suspicious we just got bad info.

I just made my reservation & wanted to leave a tip for those who might be having trouble. At first the CM said there was no availability (for 12/8), but then she started over & put my information in the system (name, phone number, etc.) first & then it showed up fine. She was very patient and said sometimes they have to go in a different way to get it to actually show up. Got the reservation for 3 that we wanted.

Just a heads up in case you get told no availability, as well.

The differences in times come from the fact that HS closes at different times. Some are earlier than others. But there is only 1 per night, no matter what the CM tells you. I think the fact that some nights it's at 7:00 and others at 9:00 it's causing them to be confused on what time to look under. If they'd just look under the event date instead I think they'd find it much easier. Post 7 tells you the times based on the dates so go on that.

So there is no Dessert Party after Dec. 10th?
not yet. speculation here (and I think it's a very good guess) is that they will be expanding hours after the 10th so they haven't released party times yet.

So there is no Dessert Party after Dec. 10th?
Nothing schedule yet. Which by no means means there won't be one, just that there isn't one yet. Speculation is they are holding off on those till they nail down park hours

I was able to book 12/3 with no problem at about 1:45 PM this afternoon after about a 40 minute wait. The CM I spoke to said that just about everyone she talked to this afternoon was booking the new event. It's definitely a 5:45 event on for 3/12 though (as that's what shows in my MDE).

I wonder if the max attendance numbers will be similar to the SW DP since the location is different? If the max is only the 185 (or 200) that people mention for SW DP then it's not inconceivable that some nights may be booked quickly.

Definitely excited for this DP.

Unrelated to this show but they just updated Star Wars a Galactic Spectacular for November 7th and 9th at 6:45pm and November 11th and 12th at 8pm

Any word on whether there will be dessert parties those nights? Don't see anything available to book online just yet.

As it is a replacement for the Star Wars show, I would not equate it to Osborne Lights, which were an addition to everything else there in the Studios. Changing up a projection show for a few weeks does come come close to something like the Osbornes. Also, the Osbornes were able to be seen non stop throughout the evening, not just when they played the music and the lights 'danced' for some additional pizazz. The Christmas projection show can only be seen when it is shown, once, possibly but not likely twice a night. And it is a very cramped area, not a lot of prime viewing.

Just my thoughts.
