Jill Duggar's wedding

Had some free time so I read this blog (not this particular post, but all of them)...I had the hardest time deciding if it was serious or satire. Wow!

I just read the Halloween entry. :scared1:

Edited to add: That entry is the tip of the iceberg!

That entry can't be serious! If it is, the writer needs some serious therapy. That level of delusion and paranoia crosses the line into mental illness.

It has to be satire. Although I have no respect for the Duggars in the way they raise their children, I don't think even they would do something like the first part of the person's 4th of July post. Sounds about as trollish as it gets:

Happy 4th Of July!
Sitting watching the fireworks... how beautiful they are!

Well, I guess I should tell you we aren't allowed back at the park. Someone saw Baileigh make a mess in her skirt, and as we all walked away, they noticed we had all peed on the ground. The cops were called and we were told not to go back to the park. Oh well.

Some of the comments on some of the posts are funny. She gets called out quite a bit for not really following the bible.

I also have a hard time believing that they were invited to the Duggar's wedding due to the fact that their children actually go to a brick and mortar school, even if it is a Christian school.

Phew. According to others who have done their research, the above mentioned blog is thought to be a spoof blog, with the writer actually being a member of Free Jinger.

Reading it, there were just too many digs at the Duggars to make it real. Loved the Dentist post, where she said that although they don't do doctors, they love their teeth. And that lots of money has been spent on teeth. I immediately thought of all those Duggar kids with braces.

Then she had a post where she claims she just could not have her daughter taking on responsibility for her younger child. Goes on about how children are the mother's job.

It is a hysterical blog, so thank you to the poster who linked it.

I've just been going thru the blog. I hope it's not real. One of the kids drank Mt. Dew and they were thinking of having an exorcism done. lol

Surely it's a spoof. Now, instead of reading it thinking this:  I can read it thinking this: :rotfl:

well, now I'm curious .. I (obviously) didn't read the rest ... off to read ;)

well .... you're welcome. :rotfl: I actually got it off of Radar Online or TMZ, and I just assumed it was legit. One would think THEY would've done some research. Whoops!!

Just an observation - Ben's suit was so much better than Derick's. Derick's suit was really ill-fitting, IMHO.

I was thinking too much didn't make sense. The fact that they refuse to see doctors, but she always knew the sex of her children before birth.

Although, I did think the article telling that their first was born at 8 months to explain away the fact that they got married in late January and the first was born in earlyish August was fun!

What I though was interesting was that on the recap special after Jessa got engaged, Jim Bob was talking about after Michelle and he got married and she went off birth control (huh???) they got pregnant and the kids just kept coming.

She was in a short cheerleaders skirt in a picture too.... I guess their ideals changed after marriage.

Yes, they used to be a little more mainstream. Michelle experienced a miscarriage early in their marriage (I want to say after Josh was born?) and they believed it was a result of her having been on birth control. So, the birth control went out the window and they gave their reproductive decisions "over to God.")

They used birth control and wrongfully believe they suffered a miscarriage of their 2nd baby due to birth control use. I read the loss of the first baby really affected them and lead to this drastic change.

edit to add I found an article that stated it was their 2nd child and since they believe in life at conception they also now believe birth control can cause miscarriages. It seems if it causes miscarriages or not is depended on you religious believes because it can prevent implantation and growth of a fertilized egg.

Ok, thanks for the explanation. I watch the show and was surprised to hear him mention the use of birth control.

Sorry on my phone so really hard to post a link but if you go here http://www.swbts.edu/campus-news/ne...re-story-behind-e2809819-kids-countinge28099/

it has the families full story. Interesting that Jim Bob admits he use to be an angry father. I also wonder if the "supporters" they talk about are the ones who got them involved in the movement they are apart of. I have always found it very interesting that a girl who was surely the "popular" girl in high school went to wanting to home school her children and not allowing them to do much at all. She was a cheerleader!

Watched the engagement show and was hit squarely in the face with what bothers me so much about this family. Jana is home babysitting and waiting around to court while her twin has a plane. WTH!! The girls in no way are afforded those types of opportunities. I would love to know how the money is handled. TLC surely must have a contract with every adult on the show. Do the girls have any control of that money? Do they just hand it over to Jim Bob? So disturbing yet I can't look away. BTW, the plane is likely old news but I never watched until the courting story lines.

I saw a few online magazines that had some pictures of Jessa and Ben's wedding. Sounds like Kirk Cameron signed a disclosed agreement, but must have sold his story to OK Magazine. Amazing what people will do for money. He stated how proud he was and brought his dd's to the wedding, to show his girls what a courtship is and a "wait until you are married."

I think Jessa is going to change a few things with her life. I don't think she is going to break ties with her family, but I have a feeling things are going to be a bit different. I wonder if Jessa is going to move out to the barn shed apartment with Ben? or is Ben going to move into the house.
