Has anyone here eaten at Jiko's at the Animal Kingdom Lodge? It seems lovely but I would love some first hand reviews. Has anyone eaten vegetarian there? How do you get to the resort? Any info would be great! Thanks!

We love it - but it gets mixed reviews.

We did not eat vegetartian but we did eat gluten-free and found it to be the best experience of our trip. The chef there is very accomodating and creative to alternative requests. I think if you saw interesting sides on a meat dish they would probably make you a main course. And the mac 'n cheese is just amazing...and I usually dislike it. The sweet potatoe spaetzle is also great. I also enjoyed the african wine list.

We drove but I think you could take a bus from all the parks.

we love this restaurant! it is an excellent way to see the lodge if you are not staying there. it is very easy to get to the lodge from either a park or downtown disney. happy eating!:p

This restaurant was very disappointing when we went here. Nice atmosphere....but the food wasn't that great. Our friend of the familis told us to go here, we were not impressed at all.

Can't help with the vegetarian question, but Jiko's is one of my favorite spots at WDW. Had dinner there 5 times now, and each time food and service were excellent.
We also drove, but I imagine WDW transportation could get you there.

Jiko is my favorite WDW restaurant. It's amazing! Take a look back through these pages and you'll find some wonderful reviews on it.

We have been there 4 times now, most recently just a couple of months ago and we have loved it every time. On one trip we had our 20 year old with us, and she loved it as well.

Vegetarian is not a problem, they have entrees for you.

The food is wonderful, the service is wonderful...it is a very relaxing, kick back kind of place. Don't be in a rush if you go there. Arrive early and have a drink at the Jiko bar. The bartenders are great.

New manager, kind of cocky...hubby complemented our server/service and spoke with manager at end of evening...he acted as if he didn't even care to hear the compliments. We weren't impressed with management...but everything else is great!
