Jet Blue and JFK

I've been checking airfares for our June trip to WDW and am considering flying Jet Blue from JFK. We hate driving to JFK, but are considering driving up the night before and staying at the hotel that is at the airport (I think it's a Ramada, but not sure). We could then leave our car at the hotel and take a shuttle to the terminal for a Sunday morning flight. Anyone ever done this at JFK? This would mean driving there on a Saturday evening and then driving back to Central NJ on either Sunday evening or Monday afternoon. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Here is something to consider.

Add up the price of the hotel, parking, tolls, and gas. Then find out how much it would cost to have a car service or van take you. It may be close in price.

What time is your flight out?

I had an idea, but I then realized that you said JFK; for some reason I had originally read the airport as Dulles. N-e-v-e-r m-i-n-d!

I haven't booked these flights since I'm still deciding between Jet Blue from JFK and US Air from PHL (we live in the middle of these airports). Newark is actually the closest airport but the fares are significantly higher. I'm considering Sunday morning flights from JFK leaving either 7:00 am or 8:05 am. I was actually hoping to fly down to MCO on Saturday evening and stay at the MCO Hyatt overnight (the kids would have loved the pool on the roof watching the airplanes). But flight times and fares have not yet worked out. Also considering Spirit Air from Atlantic City - did this last year - fares and times are not great from there either! I guess I'm frustrated because I want the same price I got last year when I went...

Try getting a cyber fare from AC to MCO with Spirit. They release them on Friday nights until Sunday evenings on a weekly basis!

I doubt the hotel would let you leave your car parked there for a week. If you go that route, I would call ahead and find out. They might charge you and if they do, you are probably betting off using a place like Avistar for parking.

It's the Ramada Plaza and it's called Park-Sleep-Fly. $115.00 a night with up to 12 nights of parking. Obviously, I would need to take this cost into account when comparing total travel costs...

You will love the jetBlue experience. Our children love the IFE built into the seats. They can view a map of the east coast with altitude and speed while the aircraft flies to MCO. Of course you also have the other 24 channels plus award winning service. 7/04 will be our third year in a row using jetBlue SYR/JFK/MCO. We really look forward to the flight. Have fun!!!!
