Hi, Jeff! Sounds like you had a really productive day yesterday. Congrats on walking a mile! :cool1:

Okay, here is the tough part. Maybe I should mind my own business, but you did say "comments welcome" -- It sounds like you are not eating enough. You don't want to starve yourself. And you don't want your metabolism to slow down because there is no food. And besides all the physiological negative side effects of not eating enough, there are also the psychological and emotional side effects -- you may find yourself becoming grumpy or resentful of having to diet because you are hungry all the time. Not sure whether you are following Atkins or WW or SBD or some combination, but I'd bet you could add more food to your daily intake and lose even faster, without starving. :flower:

Just milk for breakfast would leave me starving. :guilty: I always try to do something with protein whether it is a WW bagel w/fat free cream cheese or a light english muffin with reduced fat peanut butter or a piece of toast w/fat free cheese or some egg beaters or some whole grain cereal . . . . well, you get the idea. I hope you will give yourself a break and take in some fuel at breakfast.

Oh, yeah, two more things -- fruits/veggies & a multi-vitamin. :banana:

Good luck, Jeff! I know how hard this is. I am down 40.5 pounds and still have an incredibly long way to go. Just know that you can get all the support you need (and much you don't need ;) ) here.
 
I have to echo what keenercam said. You are not eating enough. What sort of plan are you following?

Ok, I had the 'not eating enough' thought, too. On WW at your 317 you would get 1600 cal/day and they say don't go under or your metabolism slows. My metabolism is almost non existent, so I wouldn't really know!

You're doing great, tho! Keep it going!
 
not following any plan......just not eating as much......gonna start drinking alot more water today (yuck)....maybe I should eat more but I haven't been all that hungry...but I'll try....so tell me what is something good to eat for lunch????
 

In my opinion every meal should contain a Protein, a Veggie, and a dairy.
If you are not follow low carb you can add in a starch if you like, but keep it to whole grains.

Lunch:
Lemon Pepper Chicken
Green Beans
8 oz of milk
1 slice of Whole Wheat Toast

Cajun Fish
Broccoli w/ cheese
1/2 cup of whole wheat pasta served w/olive oil

Chicken Ceasar Salad w/ 8oz of milk, take out some of the crutons

Tuna Salad, served with Celery sticks, 8 oz of skim milk

Lunch ......

My favs are Flat Out Carb Down bread (2 pts - 100cal) that has 15 g of fiber with some kind of lean meat , vegs, dill pickles, etc rolled up.

Or Hard taco shells broken in half with a smidge of fat free refried beans, ff cheese and dipped in salsa like nachos.

Standby is light bread 4 slices (2 pts) with lean meat or just cucumber/tomato sandwiches with ff cheese.

I can say he has NOT been irritable, or discontent...I understand this was your experience, however with the support of each other, we've been QUITE content...

you are right ...Not discontent.....maybe we are strange....but we are able to be in good fun moods and able to lose weight all at the same time....guess we are just cool like that....anyway here is what the gator farm served to eat today..

breakfast.....sandwich (ham and mustard)

lunch..........healthy choice chicken and noodles

dinner.........lasagna,salad,1 breadstick,piece of pie (the biggest part was saled)

and I drink so much water I about drown (72 oz)

Keep up the great work, Gator! You'll be easily walking your way through WDW in a few days. It's important to keep that great attitude in tact as well . . . . it definately helps when temptation arises.

I think you are doing great and wish you luck for another healthy and happy day! :sunny:

breakfast....banana and milk
lunch.........chicken taco salad
dinner........a sub from subway (don't worry it was only 10 grams total)
waled another mile tonight too :earsboy:

Sounds like you are doing a great job! Did I read somewhere that you are a Brett Favre/ Packers fan? DH and I are huge Packer fans! We used to play in a couple of fantasy football leagues and Favre was always our #1 pick! :bounce:

GO PACKERS !!!!!!!!!!!!well I didn't post yesterday...bet you all missed the gator huh?

well yesterday I had
breakfast....banana and some milk
lunch ........chicken breast and baked potato
dinner........chicken sandwich (with onion diet ranch and bbq mixed) a glass of tea and a bowl of diet onion soup (diet cheese in it)
later for a snack......Jen's special chips and dip...(don't worry it was diet)

today
breakfast...nothing...(forgot to eat...was in a hurry to get out of town)
lunch........Lauras lean beef burger, spoonfull of potato salad, spoonfull of baked beans, a pickle, lemonaide, strawberries and a fat free hot dog ( wow I really made up for no breakfast huh?)
dinner......here we go again....fresh mushrooms, piece of fish, 2 hushpuppies, scallops, and cyrstal light to drink

well now you all did say to eat more...so how was that....(I know very bad)

but the good news is I lost 14 1/2 pounds in the past 11 days

oh and I walked a mile today plus I swam this afternoon


Hey MICKEY only 10 more days till you can see me and my smaller belly :earboy2:

I bet if we could do a 'count' of today's food that you are actually pretty close to on track. You just can't let your body start thinking it's starving or your loss will come to a fast stop and not want to start again.....been there, done that. Learned and still learning the hard way.

Great on the exercise. Mickey will be impressed! :flower:
 
ok here it is....

today
breakfast....english muffin with ham and mustard
lunch.........sandwich....ham and mustard and ketchup
dinner........guess???? yep sandwich and yes your are right...it was ham and mustard plus I had a yogurt and drink crystal light with each meal

I did walk 3/4 of a mile.....( I know you say why not walk a mile???)

well because the file 1/4 of a mile I took a slow jog...so yes I got the mile in.

I better get a free balloon or something from the silly mouse in 10 days for that....if not somebody get me a mousetrap. :earboy2: ::MickeyMo
