January New Year, New You! Exercise Challenge

Adding in 45 mins of workouts from yesterday
and 30 mins on the elliptical today!!

Totally up at 495/1390!

Not sure if it counts as a "skill" per say, but I am REALLY interested in taking some mma/self defence/some kind of martial arts classes!! I figure it's important to know how to defend myself, and I've gotten way too into superhero stuff this past year lol!! I also want to take my photography up a level!
 

So last week i ended being way to lazy. I only longed about 60 minutes of working out over the week. I am kicking it into full gear this week. With the temp in the 50's today I walked from my car to work today instead of taking the shuttle and I will do the same tonight. This is about a 15 minute or so walk each way.

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a refreshing weekend. I know I did. I got a long overdue haircut! And I'm adding 30 minutes from Saturday from walking around the mall A LOT. Bringing me to 420/660

Just posted this in the "Whine of the Day" thread, but thought you all would get a kick out of it.

I screwed up the locker combination a the gym Tuesday morning. After I'd taken my shower. With no clothes available.

I had to wrap 3 towels around my thinner-but-still-79-pound-overweight body and go find the manager to let me back in my locker.

When I was younger, I would have been totally humiliated. Tuesday, I figured I'd already gotten through the worst of what could happen, but knocked on wood, just in case it wasn't!
 
Added another 80 minutes today, nice weather allowed me to run/walk 4 miles and walk a 5th (was only planning on 3)

Saw the pain doc yesterday, told me my issue was a common lumbar issue that can be addressed with injections of cortisone into my back :p
Hopefully I can hit the gym next week more consistently even tho my first injection isn't for another month due to scheduling issues
