The beach excursion at Grand Cayman is sold out and the beach excursion at Cozumel is more than I want to spend for a family of 4. Has anyone ever been on the Western before and went to the beach on their own?

Never been on a Western but have plans for a Mexican Cuisine excursion all set for Cozumel.:goodvibes
Let us know what u have decided - ya got me curious.

Hear ya about the cost - good luck on your choices:).

Hi all,

been a little absent... I just did our online check in yesterday YAY!!!

I have also booked
- Key West we have booked our own old town trolley tickets (with get on and off option) and will look around our selves)
- Palo Brunch for the first at sea day
- Dolphin Encounter and Turtle Farm for Grand Cayman
- Booked our own reservations for Nachi Cocum for the Cozumel day
- Booked Palo Dinner for the second at sea day
- missed out :( on the a cabana for Castaway but will keep praying for some pixie dust when I check back from time to time to grab one.

We are staying in room's #2604 and my FIL has the connecting stateroom.
There will be myself (Kate) my husband, our two daughters, Chloe will be almost 6 and Savannah will be 4 and then my FIL.

Soooooooo excited!!!!

Hey Fawn,

I understand I can try to book this at the 90 day mark - There can be up to 10 people at the cabana - we are 4 - you are 3 (I think).

The cost is $499.00 for the first 6 and then I think $50.00 per person for more than 6.

It may be a bit less on the adult beach vs the family beach

Like I said never done this but it seems like a coolio idea to me......

Hi...sorry for the delay, I was up in Vermont visiting my daughters! I'm definitely interested! I'd prefer the family beach if you don't care...we've always found the adult beach to be very rocky and crowded.

I've never done it either...seems too pricey for just three of us...but splitting it would work! It sounds like a nice way to do the island! :thumbsup2

Let me know how you want to handle this...

Hey Fawn

So far I've had no luck booking a cabana - if one comes along I'll grab it and let you know - if you see one - do the same grab it and let me know!

Sounds like a plan...I'm in!

Does anyone know if there will be fish extenders who will not be on this site? The kids want to start assembling our gifts and I want to be sure we make enough.

SoooOOOooOOooOooOoooo Excited!!! :wizard:

I was also wondering what the date for the fish extender cut off would be so I will know how much I will need to assemble. Thanks!

I would like to get my FE finished ASAP so I say we make the cut off date sometime in November? Would that work for everyone???

We only have 80 days!!!!!

WOW! What a wacky last few days it has been- but I am back everyone.

At times these past few days, I really felt like:
DSC01233.jpg

Why?
We are now in the midts of getting ready to host the city of St Louis (and the World Series) as we still remain sold out over the next 10 days - but hey...that just means more revenue for us :woohoo:

......now about the FE list:
*** A FRIENDLY REMINDER THAT THIS IS OUR OFFICIAL LIST & I WILL REFER TO THIS POSTING FROM NOW ON ****

OK - so what exactly a "FISH EXTENDER?"

Good Question. I feel that the best way to get a good idea what they are would be to do a search on Disboards.com & viola!!

up will pop up many a thread about the subject.

ANYWHO -

thought I would begin to compile a FE list (putting all info down on it isn't mandatory) and w/o further adieu:

Feel free to send us a posting if ya wanna be added to the ever growing list.

and shud I have left someone off the list, please feel free to let me know....or as them balloon CM's sometimes gesture to each other on Mainstreet USA; with a slight bend in the knees with one hand covering their mouth.....

as if they are mouthing an "OOPS" gesture to each other.

To to anyone I left off the list, I give to you a heart felt "OOPS!" hand gesture.

Oke-dokey - Gotta run for now. I promise to update the list from time to time.

**** DISMEETS UPDATE *****

It is all set for:

date: day of embarkation day.
Where: Promennade Lounge.

Promenade Lounge is a 104-seat lounge located on Deck 3, Aft situated off the elevator lobby on the Disney Magic. Open from approximately noon to midnight daily, Promenade Lounge is the perfect place for families to enjoy a refreshing beverage or snack, surf the Internet or partake in fun activities that occur throughout the day.

TIME:

The overall opinion is to have a rolling" DISmeets; meaning say around 2:3opm ish until about 3;30pm - this way, people can come and go and not feel pinned in to a specific time (like 3-3:30pm). And yes, I feel the "Adventures Away" party kicks in at 4:30pm (right after the boat drill).

ALSO - to those who would like to engage in a little bit of Disney pin trading during this time, feel free to bring a few pins as this is also a wonderful way to inneract with your fellow DISser.

ANYWHO -

Also, should anyone of you have to drop out of our cruise, please be kind & let me know so I can have an updated list as much as possible as my intention is to just have some DISney fun on this adventure and enjoy heading out to Key West for the very first time (I am a Jimmy Buffett nut), etc.

and -

FYI - there is a time change for us when we arrive into Cozumel - please be sure and set yer clocks BACK one hour.:earsboy:

**** WELCOME ABOARD EVERYONE ****

I have ONLY lost 9 lbs and rreeaallyy miss my four legged diet partner.

Will post pictures (HOPEFULLY) once I land my "four legged dieting partner and family member" but that dang word has to rule here:

patience (WHAT'S THAT??) -

I may jump in one more time b 4 I head out to Hawaii ......in about 200 more hours.....but hey - who is countin??:lmao: - but before I go, I thought I would leave all of ya a DCL-like smile meant from the heart::goodvibes

(JUST RIGHT CLICK ON YOUR COMPUTER MOUSE & IT WILL PLAY 4 YOU)

Should we have some common thing to identify us at the meet? I'm thinking there will be many people on the ship at this point and it might be fun to have something in common to identify other members of this board?

For example: We could all dye our hair blue :scared1:

just kidding :woohoo:

Does anyone know if there will be fish extenders that are not participating in this forum? The kids and I made 20boy and 20girl packages this weekend. If we are 100% sure that the extras will not be needed onboard I may give the extras to family for halloween.

Traditionally for years and years lime green was the color that identified the DIS!

It should be fairly easy to be able to pick out people who are there for a DISmeets. Me? I am rreeaallyy tempted to bring a clip board (with extra copies of FE info) for those who didn't bring theirs & also be wearing a blue colored Disney travel company landyard around my neck with various Disney pins on it.
I am even tempted to be wearing a visor like golf cap.:goodvibes
Overall, I should be very easy to pick out from a crowd. TRUST ME on this one.:upsidedow

I am up to my ears in last minute Hawaii planning/packing but will let everyone know what I will be wearing to give people a heads up should they choose to use me as a "landmark":rotfl: of sorts.

Tho - yes.....some DISsers (on Halloween cruises) have been know to bring an extra suitcase for their Halloween costumes; so yes......be also on the lookout for those who will be wearing green colored clothing of sorts. So hey, its really what makes ya feel comfy.:goodvibes

All in all - it's a gonna be a fun time - looking forward to it.popcorn::.

Now - if we can jjuusstt get those Tx Rangers 2 win a game in that Fall Classic.

77 days on the calendar - 77 days

Take one down -

Well you get the idea!

There's a place, where the boat leaves from
It takes away all your big problems
You got worries you can drop them in the blue ocean
But you gotta get away to where the boat leaves from

Take one part sand, and one part sea,
one part shade of a big palm tree
And the drinks they're cold and the reggae’s hot
And I know this is the place for me

So get away to where the boat leaves from
It takes away all of your big problems
You got worries you can drop them in the blue ocean
But you gotta get away to where the boat leaves from!

See the problem is that you're right there
And there's a perfectly good island somewhere
Where a ride that floats and don't grab your coats
You won't need them where we are going

So get away to where the boat leaves from
It takes away all of your big problems
You got worries you can drop them in the blue ocean
But you gotta get away to where the boat leaves from
