January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

I'm super late to the list, but my DSIL and I are sailing on Jan 29th too! I had been searching by the 1/29/2011 date and couldn't find it!

It's my second DCL cruise (took 5 night double-dip last May) and my DSIL's first cruise! Can't wait!

Looks like there will be a lot of us from the north! We're in Southcentral Alaska (right down the street from Sarah Palin) and the wind is howling today!!! It's now too terribly cold (18 deg F), but who knows with the wind chill..... best just stay inside and dream of the Caribbean!

I've missed a lot. I will try to catch up.

I lost my dad Monday morning, so we have been working on getting my mom into a nursing home and handling details for my dad. Lots of stuff going on. Glad to have a happy cruise to look forward to.

I also have an 8-year-old boy who will love to meet the boys his age. I already told my kids about the abundance of 4-year-old girls and DD was sooooo excited and DS was horrified at the thought of all those little girls like his sister!!! He'll be happy to hear there are also boys his age!!

Seems like I have been hearing about a lot of girls on the cruise & my son is glad to have another boy to hang out with.

I know, right?! It's getting to the point where DW can't wait anymore for me to unwrap gifts under the tree...she keeps saying, "if you just open one tiiiiiiiiiiny gift, I promise you can open the rest Christmas morning." I've been pretty good at fighting it off, but my defenses are weakening. Friday we have a holiday themed theater show to go to (Cirque Holidaze), so that should be very entertaining, and get us even more into the holiday spirit.

It's really nice to know that we have a cruise to look forward to in just 44 days. Hope that the planning of the trip is getting everyone through a cold winter

I have always done this with my kids too. DH is out of town right now and DD woke up this morning and at breakfast announced "only 2 more night-nights until Daddy comes home, right?"

Stateroom 2118 - 3 Adults (M/F/M) & 1 kid (8 yrs old - boy)

Sorry, I have been a bit MIA on our cruise meet. I own my own custom invitations (weddings, etc) business and I have been soooo busy. I am also adjusting to juggling that and being a 1st time mommy. I will try to stay up to speed.

Are there cruise meets scheduled or anything else I should know about? On our May 2009 cruise we all wore rubber bracelets (neon green) that one of the DISers order, so that we would know when we ran into another DISer. Are we doing anything like that for this cruise?

So busy this time of year.

Just came back from doing Christmas hampers at the church. It is great to see how much people give at this time but sad that more people need the helping hand this year too.

Went to the kids Christmas concert last night , always cute seeing the little ones perform.

Been baking cookies for the last two weeks and now have to bake more because my family has been into them and both kids are having something in the classroom next week.

I think we are the only school still in next week until Wed. and have to go back on a Jan 6th which on a Thursday. Next week will be a write off and I am guessing the two days they go back in that week will be too. Then before you know we will be on vacation.
