January 2011!!

My daughter and I will be there January 5th through 11th. I'm participating in the Half Marathon. (I hope it's warmer than last year'! 28 degrees and snow flurries during the Half.) My husband won't be able to make it. He's in Afghanistan and his r&r isn't until February. (At least he'll be home for our 19th anniversary on Valentine's day.) We're staying at Wilderness Lodge as per my daughter's request. I'm so excited!!

Blessings to your hubby for a safe return!! Have a great trip!!

We're with you in January!

In fact, potentially that exact same week! We may split off the last day and head over to Universal. We'll see. Just started thinking of a trip today, and it was hard to ignore the hotel deals on property, and the lack of crowds! Just us two adults, me and my partner.

Awesome!

Hi! :flower3:

I don't know if anybody can start these threads, but I just did, lol!!!

It will be myself, my husband, and our two boys, at time of travel they will be almost 4 and 5 1/2. pirate: pirate:

We are going January 23rd, (but I'm pushing for the 22nd) to January 30th, 2011. Sooooo excited I don't know how I am possibly going to wait that long. :confused3

Staying at the CR, hopefully TPV, depending on finances, but I think it's going to be doable. :woohoo:

I have a 1st draft of my daily plan that I want to post when it gets more detailed, I think this may be a good spot to do it.

Who else is with us in January? :thumbsup2

I'm a January....I'm a January!!!! Cannot wait for the trip. Disney Parks, Disney Cruise and visiting Universal for the first time to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!!!

I am so excited, I think I visit the WDW website everyday just to feel connected. Not to mention, I bought Disney clothing and accessories for every member of my family for Christmas. It's going to be that kind of Christmas!!! Woo hoo!!!!! :santa:

Okay ... okay! I think we have our dates nailed down! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

pPending work vacation schedules, which should be no problem. We're planning on being at the Pop or one of the All Stars from January 24th through the 28th! And we made REAL sure that there are early flights on the 24th so we can be in the parks most the the day!

Yay! Yay! Yay! :banana::banana::banana:

We will be going January 23-30 as well, so excited! We are bringing the grandparents to help with the little ones, staying at AKV.

Beach Club Villas-myself, wife, daughter (turns 4 on trip) and son (2) 1/16-1/23

anyone ever been there during MLK? We will be getting to WDW on Sunday the 16th, and the Holiday is Monday-what should I be expecting crowdwise? My plan is to do EPCOT on Sunday and HS on Monday since they are both so close to BCV and I want to give my kids (4) (2) a chance to settle into their surroundings before shuttling them throughout the World, and since we will be there 8 days, I am hoping we can take our time as the week progresses since the crowds should be lighter..

any thoughts???

I don't have any first hand experience with this, but I would assume the Sunday, Monday and possibly Tuesday of that week will be busier--it's good that you will be there for 8 days, I'll bet the crowds diminish considerably after that. I would just plan to be flexible those days and see what the parks are like!

Hope we get to go. If I can't save the money beforehand, then I will cancel. I don't want to put it on the credit card. So I have about 4 months. Hope I pull it off. Never been at a slow time, it would be nice.

Going January 1-8 and staying at CSR.
The kids have an extremely long winter break, and we're taking advantage of that and the free dining. (:
Oh, It's also our first time going in January!

One day, January 21st. My 23rd birthday!

Talking to my mom this weekend about an ADR.. with Cinderella. :lovestruc

Here's hoping!

My family will be there from Dec. 27th - Jan. 8th. Getting married on Jan. 4th. We stay at POP until the 2nd then move over to AKL from the 2-8. DF always wanted to stay so he thought this was the best time to do it.

Then we go back again from Feb. 12-25th staying at POP. I have just received my 4 weeks vacation and haven't had a long vacation since our last Disney trip in Dec/09...Dec. 25th cannot come soon enough (were driving down).

Got some disappointing news yesterday, AA pushed our flight back an hour. I already feel like we are missing out on a day due to trying to have DD9 in school until 10:30 to be counted present and so the earliest we could arrive was 5:40. We now won't get in until 6:50 and then have to get to the resort by ME. I wanted to use the evening to tour the resort and get some pics, but night pics won't be as good. I also considered heading out to Epcot for EMH 9-12, but we want to get to MK the next morning early to get good pics prior to our 8:25 ADR at CP. I know it is only an hour, but I booked the earlier flight to give us a little more time.

I would consider taking him out for the day if I could move to another flight without having to pay a fee. :sad2:

We are a family of five going January 29th-February 5th, staying at Pop for the first time! Do you think we'll need the tour guides even though traditionally it isn't crowded at that time of year?
