January 2010. . . Anyone else going???

Wow, that is awesome!!!
We have just started to compile the same sort of thing using www.tripit.com. Depending on what kind of phone you have they have a mobile version and iPhone and Android apps(here's hoping our batteries will last all day!). We have added all relevant info - park hours, reservation numbers, when the shows are happening, etc. We also list the attractions we want to see in the order we're hoping to do them - sometimes following an UG touring plan, sometimes just based on what we know DD3 will enjoy or our family preferences (i.e. when we do AK EMH in the morning we do Pangani Trail first b/c we're the only ones there and we can really enjoy the animals).

Love the tripit just looked at it briefly any idea if it works on a blackberry?

It does have a mobile site m.tripit.com with streamlined access to all your info - not sure what else they offer that would work with a Blackberry (I found the Android app by searching on my phone - can't find mention of it on the tripit site).

i have never used any of the planning guides,i start out with my adr's, then factor in parades, fireworks and shows and my own personal plan takes shape.
i have it all entered into the e-ticket app in my i phone.
yes, january is getting busier, but still no where near peak season madness.

I booked through a TA and we leave in about a month. Should I expect anything besides my ME info in the mail?

Got my ME packet last week (and they have more than half the info wrong--have us booked to depart WDW the day after we arrive and have info wrong for one traveler :sad2:) I'm nervous now that there is more stuff wrong and I'll never even know it if nothing ever comes in the mail...

Sooooo, would something come in the mail? Should I call WDW and get confirmation on the details of my trip? I want way more control than working with a TA affords--I'm really really regretting my decision not to just book myself!

I hope I am not to late to join this thread. We too have decided to go again this January. We originally weren't going to go but a close friend had a close call and that event brought everything into perspective thus our decision to go.

DH came home one morning after working his midnight shift the week before Christmas, and suggested going to Disney. I do not need extra persuasion to book a trip to Disney thus capitalized on that suggestion and within a few days had it booked and paid for. We lucked into the 4/3 deal and decided this was the year we should splurge for a Moderate since we were only going for one week this year. We will be staying at POFQ from January 24-31. We are truly looking forward to this resort as I have always wanted to stay here (I like the look of it) and the children love the look of the sea serpent slide. We also like the fact it has a boat to DTD. We love traveling by boat.

This will be a totally different trip for us. It will be a trip of firsts, first Moderate, first time for only a week, first time on QSDP. Most of the planning is done but since we just went this past January and saw practically everything we wanted to see, I hope I can take it slower and we will enjoy the attractions we "must" see and enjoy some time at the resort too.

I wish everyone going this time a magical trip and much pixie dust.:wizard:

I would call to confirm. I'd call the TA and make them aware of the mistakes also. Hopefully, they can help with some of the legwork to make it right. You wouldn't want anything to spoil your fun once you are there. Don't fret though, I'm sure you will get it all straightened out and have a wonderful time!

Hoping for wonderful weather Jan 21-25, or for all of January for that matter!!

Hi Remmy!! Wow, sounds like fun! We have stayed at POR and enjoyed that boat to DTD too! I went a few weeks ago so technically I don't belong on this thread, but I like to keep up with some former 2009 Snowbirds. I'll be doing a TR (hopefully starting tonight!). You should come check out the snowbirds thread on the community page too.

We're down to single digits (FINALLY)--only nine more days! We're buying last-minute necessities and making LOTS of lists. :)

Dh and I will be down from Jan 28-31 for three nights at the Poly. We will be celebrating our anniversary w/o the kiddies! Our first trip to Disney as adults only! So excited!
