January 2010. . . Anyone else going???

WELCOME!! :goodvibes

You can call Disney directly and make a "room only" ressie now. They will charge you for one night at peak season rates and then make the adjustments when the 2010 rates come out. Which will probably be in August.

Thanks, I was just trying online-hadn't ventured into the calling zone yet!

Afternoon Snowbirds!

I was wondering if anyone has seen this thread about preordering the Photopass.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2180484

It's about the code sent out to Disney Visa cardholders. I got the code in my mail a while back and it saves you $15. Not to mention that the cost of the Photopass is scheduled to go up as of June 15th. I'm thinking if I order now it will be cheaper but I'm not too sure if it's too early to preorder the CD or not :confused3
Some are saying they've ordered it more than 60 days out and when they go to use the code it doesn't work. I know I preordered mine more than 60 days out last year but has policy changed? Of course there's no info about any expiration dates on the Photopass website- except that you have 30 days once you activate your code to order your pics after vacation. Helpful! :headache:

Any thoughts?

I hadn't seen that. . . that's interesting. I'm not sure how far out you can pre-order. :confused3

Well, if they do the Celebrate promotion again, you can either get in free on your birthday, or if you are buying multi day tickets (which I assume you are) you can register your birthday and get a $75 gift card. So you and your DS could have a lot of birthday $$, especially if they do the $200 card too! :thumbsup2

Yes, I think my son would like the pirate rooms, so hopefully I can talk him into that just to be able to try something different! :goodvibes

Your right, I totally forgot about those $75 gift cards. Hopefully they will do the same exact promo next year. I say I would spend it on myself, but honsetly it'll probably go for a gift for who ever is coming over to check on our cat, and my mother and father in law. This will be the first vacation we have taken since we have gotten the cat, actually the cat found it's way into our garage as a kitten and we just kept it after we couldn't find anyone to claim it. When both my sister and sister in law asked what we were going to do with him, and I told them, they both volunteered to come over and check on him. They didn't like the idea of just adding extra litter boxes and extra food and water out. Then we will take our dog over to my in laws house and he will stay with them while we are gone. He's an old dog, about 14 to 15 year old and has a bum shoulder, so I would not leave him home alone. I'm just wondering how he will do with the goats my in laws just got.

I know what you mean, if it were my birthday, my card would be going to my kids probably.... :) I see you are a Twilight fan, I am addicted!!! :goodvibes

Hard to believe how slow I am with my planning this trip. Didn't we all have room only ressies booked and our ADRs semi planned this time last year?
I can't even pick a resort:confused3

I think I will have to narrow down my choices and book room only this weekend.

The other thing botehering me is I have my flights booked and paid for this time last year, and the prices were nice, this year - they are not so nice :sad1:So I keep hunting everyday!

Had to share my thoughts and get it out there, I know some of you will understand and share my worries.

I know. Things are totally different this year. Last year we were all booked and our ADR's were made by July!

I don't think I am even going to bother with making a room only ressie this year. I may not even book a package when they come out in August. I might just wait until the big special/code/deal comes out in November! Maybe that will help me narrow my resort choices down, I may just have to take what's left at that point!

As far as flights, SW doesn't have them out that far yet. So I haven't even given that much thought. I have that SW voucher/credit from last year, so we have to fly with them. I hope we get as good of a deal as we got last year. But I realize that's probably pretty doubtful.

I knew of all people you'd understand! Maybe it is better this way, last year all my plans changed due to the special deal that came out!

Do we still have to wait 90 days for CM and CRT ADRs?
What about BBB?

Yeah, I guess it's better this way since I CAN NOT decide on a resort right now. But I sure would feel better if I could make my ADR's sooner. . .

I am pretty sure all ADR's are 90 days. . . Not sure about BBB. :confused3

My husband and I will be running the Donald Half in January as well!!! I'm so excited!!! I have a bit of a *thing* for Donald...;) I'm thrilled to be running the half with my husband!!

I've never been to Disney in January. It will be interesting to experience weather that is something other than sweltering!!! We've only ever been in August and we're going on June for the first time this year! (A few more days!)

we haven't decided where to stay yet...My husband has always wanted to stay at the Poly...but we're there to run, not lounge so it seems a bit of a waste...I guess we can discuss it on our training runs!:lmao:

How did I miss this? :confused3 The great Campbellscot has joined the ranks of Snowbird! :worship: Nice to see you here MissCammie , hope you guys have an excellent trip this time! Where are you staying this time? Back to WL? or something new?

I KNOW!!! :confused3 like Shelly said in another post we will also probably wait until deals/codes are released to make any definite plans! So frustrating! I just hope that something comes out before we need to make ADRs! There are a couple important ones (Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's) that I would hate to miss out on! ;)

I went to the Dining thread and found this on the sticky there...

There is a temporary exception to the 90 day rule. CRT, Chef Mickey and Victoria & Albert's can apparently be booked up through June 19th 2009. This is a fixed date, and as soon as it's 90 days prior to June 19, they will be on the same 90 day schedule as all other locations.
:sad2:

I don't even want to think about the chaos of trying to book the meals we want.

Not that I have decided and not that my choices never change:rolleyes1

Oh and for those of us looking for BBB princess:

I found this on all ears

Walk-ins are accepted; however, appointments are strongly encouraged by calling 407-WDW-DINE or WDW-STYLE (939-7895) as far as 90 days in advance.

I have no idea how I missed the fact that I surpassed my 1000th post! :confused3 Anyway, anybody wanna have a post count party with me?

:cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :thumbsup2

Took me almost a year and a half! :lmao:

I think it is going to be a nightmare making ADR's at 90 days. :sad2: At that point most people know they are going. At least at 180 days not everyone that was going at that time knew it yet, so you were only calling at the same time as half as many people!

Sorry, actually the schedule came out earlier, but only through something like January 9th. It was August for dates after that.

Thanks. So it seems like August is the magical time to be able to book anything. If a promo comes out in November do they apply it to your reservation or do you have to redo it? I dread the new dining system too, but some of the summer PTR's I've been following have not had any trouble getting what they need so maybe it won't be too bad. :confused3

Here's hoping for some cheap airfare and a great January promo code!! :goodvibes

I called the other day to find out when we could get pricing and I was told mid July but he didn't know an exact date.
