Has anyone heard from Maggied lately??? I know she checked in one time after her surgery, but I don't think we have heard from her since. . . I hope she is recovering well.

5 more days...seriously I still have cards to mail...they are all in town so maybe if I get them out today or Monday...Monday seems more likely..oh well at this point I just might be handing them out at chuch instead of mailing them LOL!!!!!!

Today is wrapping the presents day YAY!!

I gave up on doing Christmas Cards. I wanted to do a picture card but we've lost our camera-last time I remember having it was Thanksgiving, but we were at three different homes and no one remembers seeing it. I don't actually remember taking any pictures. WHO KNOWS!! The camera was new right before our May trip so I really don't want to spend money on a new one.

Good morning Snowbirds! I've been so busy the past couple of days, I'm just now able to catch up with everyone!!

My DH (non disney lover) just got a letter in the mail yesterday...he got SUBPOENA'd for court on Jan 22...right in the middle of our vacation . He called the DA today and he has to get an excuse (he is a witness to a crime)...This was the 1st time that he was remotely excited about going to Disney...

So, what you're saying is it takes a subpoena to get him excited about Disney?!

HA! I have the same problems with my foxhound/lab mix. Even rain gets her riled up. This morning we are having a wintry mix and I literally had to drag her out to go potty. She is such a pansy!

Our dog got so spoiled that somtimes we would have to get an umbrella to hold over her before she would go outside to do her business!!!

I just got the rest of my Magical Mail!!!!

Too bad I can't look at it right now and had to hide it. Dang why didn't I get the mail before the kids got home??!!

We got our first Magical Mail on Thursday - our ME stuff!! WHOOHOO!!

Thanks Shelly!!! That looks really kind of fun and different! I can't wait!

I woke up this morning and said to DH "In three weeks, we'll be waking up in florida." He kind of grunted. I then added "and there won't be 8 inches of snow on the ground." He liked that idea!!

He's currently out running his second to last long run before the marathon. Yes, I did say there were 8" of snow on the ground.

As for Christmas, I need to get a couple cards in the mail (The "Oh, hey! I wasn't expecting a card from you!" type of cards) but I think I missed today's pick-up. They certainly don't pay our mail(wo)man enough to delivery mail on our unplowed street. Same with last night's UPS men.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes back! It still feels so strange to be here. We got our Christmas tree and it snowed that morning, which was kind of magical for us! We chose and cut our own, and now it stands so pretty and festive. It's helping our new house feel more like home.

The jet lag has been awful. The kids had trouble staying awake past 4pma nd were getting up at 3. It didn't help that we'd been pretty sick. Today is our first "normal" day! Phew!

I'm online at home now, and hoping to keep up with you all! I've missed you!

I can't believe how fast the time is going...Christmas is just a few daysa way and then DISNEY!

You might have already said but how long are you back in the states for? I know you guys are doing Disney for awhile but what's up after that? How do the kids like snow?

Wow I can't believe he remembered that! I hope we get to meet up for a bit and the boys can play!

I'm sure he remembered you because your boys are about the same ages as mine. It would be a blast to meet up!

How about your other school breaks, are they very long? Our spring break usually consists of a Friday and a Monday.

But like I said, I'll take it. We don't start until after Labor Day and are done the Friday after Memorial Day!

We start the day after Labor Day and end after the middle of June.
We do get a week off for spring break (sometimes near Easter, sometimes not), but no other long breaks--a few days here and there. They do have MLK Day followed by Inauguration Day this year, then the following Monday and Tuesday for teacher workdays (middle of the school year). So we're skipping the three days of classes in between for Disney! I haven't let their teachers know about it yet...I'll do that as soon as they go back in January.

I'm jealous of your well organized January thread.

I'm up at the church waiting for the bride to arrive. (I'm the wedding coordinator today.) It gives me some time to Dis and that's always a good thing! I tried to get out and shop a bit, but a terrible rain storm came through and I didn't want to mess up my hair before the wedding. I'm such a diva!

Mine is still in the grunty-grunty phase, too. When I talk about Disney, he just looks at me and rolls his eyes. I know he's going to have a blast when we get there, he just never gets excited about anything ahead of time. Wierdo!

So glad you are back! These next two weeks are going to fly by.

Oh my goodness, I'm exhausted!! Made two batches of cookies (ok, one was break-n-bake...they were snowman sugar cookies Drew just HAD to have), make up some truffles that are in the fridge setting and some Gooey Butter cookie dough that's chillin'. Tomorrow we'll dip the truffles and bake the cookies. It's been a long time since I've been on my feet that long! The kids helped intermittenly, but mainly they stayed downstairs and "helped" Daddy in the basement.

Andy wants to finish the basement so bad he can't stand it. Right now it's framed and drywalled but that's it...and that was done while I was pregnant with Keaton and he's almost 2 1/2!!

So I"m getting ready to shower. My cousin graduated from college and the Police Academy so we're going to my aunts for a party! Have a good evening!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. The storm last night wasn't as bad as predicted, we only got 8" of snow, no big deal. We just finished up our Son's third birthday party (no more free rides to Disney, he better get a job!) and Hubby and I are ready for bed!!!

Nah You can leave us at th 28th, we check into POP on the 28th, but are leaving on the 26th and doing US on the 27th as a surprise for the kids. The DISNEY VACAY begins on the 28th that's why I didn't PM you earlier.

The kids had a blast with my mom today. Now they are watching a Star Wars movie marathon. She got them all the DVD's they didn't have yet!

Just back from Disney on Ice and it was great! Son loved the Lion King the best, Daughter loved the small bit with Goofy the best.

I'm ready for Disney now.....came home to two gift cards for the kids from my best friend for Christmas to use in Disney!

I can't believe it's a few weeks away...we have a van booked too now so all I have to do it get through thurs. and then focus on packing!

Christmas cookies are all completely done! Frosted and everything!

So I sort of started doing some packing today. I got out my swimming suit and a few pairs of shorts, sunscreen, and hats! However none of it is in my suitcase yet. It's on a pile now.
