Well Good afternoon everyone! Went to church this morning, and it was COLD! So we came home and my brother and I played Mario Kart WII for a while and now I'm finishing up laundry while my brother and dad are outside shoveling and all that "fun" stuff.

Soleil - what's our weather update!?!? I'm already becoming dependent on it!:rotfl:

Have a great afternoon everyone...stay warm!

Hello everyone!!

Hope you are all having a nice relaxing weekend! Did anyone get out and do any shopping this weekend? It was CRAZY!! We didn't need anything but went out to Old Navy early on Saturday. I made it to Toys R Us around 3 and it was wall to wall people. I'm so glad my shopping has been done for weeks now.

Times getting close for us, Snowbirds. I can't believe that we have only two weeks left. I'm beyond ready for a vacation.

My brother had shopping to do, so I made him go yesterday. Of course I had to go with him. So I set my alarm for 8 and off we went. And it was crazy at that time. We had to go to a couple different stores and by the time we were done, I was ready to come home and hide.

Happy Sunday Snowbirds...

It's very cold here...I'm starting my baking today. I made some dough Friday and froze it...but I have a lot more to make.

We're going to the movies later, seeing 4 Christmas...has anyone seen?

I thought it was very funny! There are some parts that you just sort of sit there and think "why would you put yourself through that". But it is funny.

Hi Snow friends, Hope everyone is finishing up all there holiday planning, wrapping buying, etc. DH and I did some shopping today, and are going out to dinner after DD comes home from her church group activity.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes back! It still feels so strange to be here. We got our Christmas tree and it snowed that morning, which was kind of magical for us! We chose and cut our own, and now it stands so pretty and festive. It's helping our new house feel more like home.

The jet lag has been awful. The kids had trouble staying awake past 4pma nd were getting up at 3. It didn't help that we'd been pretty sick. Today is our first "normal" day! Phew!

I'm online at home now, and hoping to keep up with you all! I've missed you!:goodvibes

I can't believe how fast the time is going...Christmas is just a few daysa way and then DISNEY!

Hope you are all well!

~~Carrie
Welcome home!!!!!!!

Christmas cookies are all completely done! Frosted and everything!

So I sort of started doing some packing today. I got out my swimming suit and a few pairs of shorts, sunscreen, and hats! However none of it is in my suitcase yet. It's on a pile now.
I baked all day yesterday and still have a couple more things to make.
That is how I started packing too. But now it is sitting on the attic steps!

I really don't have anything to add to the thread I just needed to see my ticker today, I figured you all would understand LOL
I so do!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Hello Snowbirds! :goodvibes Happy Sunday! We are another week closer to WDW!

Happy 30 days to disney to you!!!!!!:dance3: :rolleyes1

Well we have started packing today......:cool1: This time next week, we will have checked into POP, spent the day at DTD (will try TREX and make some build-A-Dinos) then head over to Boardwalk for SPOODLES (this is what we do on arrival day every year)

Tracy

On your ticker....Are you PART-ING with the mouse OR .....PARTYING with the mouse??? ;)

I have a favor to ask all the Snowbirds that are going in the beginning of the month. Could you please ask if there is a Bounce Back Offer and report back here on what is offered.
Remmy

I will be pleased to do that in 18 days!!!! I'll ask at check in. DH has to bring his laptop with him so I'll have access to DIS and will post with any info.

OK - I confess, too, that I just want to see my ticker today! But, we have had 3 days of snow/sleet/and now rain and it is getting mighty old already. DH is outside now snowblowing the slush off the driveway before it freezes tonight. We had about a foot of snow on Friday, another 3-4 inches yesterday, and probably 2 inches today before it changed to rain. DD and I went out anyway and finished up our shopping, but didn't make it to the outlets about 45 minutes away to get my niece her Under Armour gift card because the roads were really bad when we went out this morning. So, have to do that after school tomorrow or Tuesday and I am officially done.:cheer2:

We got our stocking stuffers at Target today - all of our travel sizes of things, new toothbrushes, etc for our trip. Told DD that her days of surprises in her stocking are long gone - LOL! (But, there will be a few surprises in there for her on Christmas morning, too). We also celebrate Hanukkah in our house (DH is Jewish), so we are going to break out DD's Disney menorah that her grandparents gave her when she was little to use this year in honor of our upcoming trip. Next weekend, we will celebrate the last night with DH's sisters and their families, so we also will have a "raging inferno" of menorahs going.

And, finally, a perfect ending to my day - my beloved NE Patriots just beat the Arizona Cardinals 47-7! I think the snow/sleet/rain was just too much for them - LOL!!

Ugh. Well I wanted to go buy some of the t-shirt transfers to start making the shirts for my trip, ya know so we aren't doing them all at the last minute... . Well my mother decided that she didn't like some of our color ideas and whatnot so after a 3 hour conversation with my sister, my mother is happy, but the rest of us are not. There are a few things that my mother has done concerning this trip that haven't exactly made the rest of us thrilled to be going now. So now once again, we'll sit here and not make the t-shirts and then I'll have to listen to my mother complain about making them the day before we go....:rolleyes1

Happy Sunday Snowbirds!!!!

I wrapped all my gifts this weekend and made shirts for my parents this morning from the grandkids for Christmas... They turned out cuter than I hoped! I bet my mom cries when she opens it! They are so excited for this trip!

All that I have left to do before Christmas is bake some cookies for Santa! :santa: Oh and I'm getting my suitcases out this week too! I'm really getting excited now for some reason! :cool1:

Happy Sunday everyone! I've been cleaning ALL day. I'm not kidding. This is the first break I've taken. We must be pigs! :rotfl2:

We haven't wrapped a thing yet, shopping is done. Haven't baked anything yet either, the house has to be clean first! (Christmas is at our house this year.) :scared:

It's a total blizzard here. Yikes, way worse than the other day. I think I just heard the wind chill is -14 degrees. It's absolutely horrible. :sad2:

Hey Snowbirds! I'm back from my weekend trip to Syracuse. Yesterday, the weather was great. No snow, partly sunny....today was a whole different story. We woke up this morning (in the 'Cuse) to almost a foot of snow on our car. Not fun. We didn't run into much bad weather until we hit Rochester. It didn't last long so we were clear until about 45 minutes outside of Buffalo. We were going 20 miles/hour on the Thruway which is 65 miles/hour. We could hardly see in front of us and the roads were very slick. We made it home though! That's all that matters.

We had a great weekend with our family. Yesterday, we celebrated with my moms side of the family. My uncle, who lives in Orlando, gave our DD a real child sized guitar. It's pink and the cutest thing I've ever seen. She has no idea how to play it, but she loves it so much. We had brunch this morning with my dad's side of the family, and it was delicious. Now, we're just glad to be home and we're watching football. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for another snow day tomorrow! It's still crazy outside.

Add us in! We're snowbirds too!
Jan. 22-Feb. 1 POFQ

:welcome: to the Snowbirds!!!

Awhile back (probably in part 2 or 3) someone posted a letter to give to schools. I thought I had saved it to my computer, but now I can't find it. Does anyone have a link to it??

I have to clean too! The problem is the clutter. So tonight I'm going to declutter and then clean a bit each day and hope it stays clean until Thursday! Where do you live Trixie? We had our blizzard yesterday and it stopped snowing by this a.m., but WINDY as all get out! Still cold, right now my computer is telling me it's 8 degrees, but the windchill must be below zero.

Glad you made it home safe after a fun family gathering. We just got back from my SIL's and feel like I could go to bed!! It's only 6:23!! It was nice, we got to visit with my nephew and his fiance' - in who's wedding my DDs will be flower girls. We looked at dresses on line and they got all excited! So cute. I loaned my SIL the passporters too - She's coming with us.

I'm sorry I don't have the link for the letters to school. I'm sure one of our more techno savvy snowbirds will have saved the link or something. I just copied it to my work computer.
