This isn't really a snowbird question, but I know you guys know a little bit about everything, so I'll throw it out --
Does anyone have a recipe for sausage balls -- I believe the ingredients are sausage and Bisquick, and you roll them together and bake it. I'm looking for a recipe that doesn't involve a blender. We want to make the to eat while we watch the WDW Christmas parade!
TIA!
Maria
I don't have a sausage ball recipe, but I do love them! Sorry! When does the parade come on?
:boredMine is still in the grunty-grunty phase, too. When I talk about Disney, he just looks at me and rolls his eyes. I know he's going to have a blast when we get there, he just never gets excited about anything ahead of time.Wierdo!
According to DS, it's 10 am -- That's Eastern Standard Time for us...

Mine is definitely the same way. Didnt really get excited to go to Alaska until the day we left. However, the thought of running a marathon is pretty exciting for him, so he's thrilled about that. I don't think he's given a second thought to the d-i-s-n-e-y part of it yet. Hey, this time three weeks form now, he'll be all done running!
We're doing the Half Marathon. He is going to have a great time. This is the best managed race, it's really great for participants!
Rats! I missed it!
Here's what I have:
2 lbs bulk sausage (uncooked)
1 1/2 cups bisquick
16 oz sharp cheddar (4 cups shredded)
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Preheat oven to 375. Shred cheese and mix all ingredients. Form into 1" balls. Bake 15 min. on ungreased cookie sheet until golden brown. Makes about 6 doz. Can be frozen uncooked.
For a firmer texture, add an extra 3 cups bisquick and extra 2 cups cheese.
I'm not sure if I've made this exact recipe, but I found it in a magazine add for Jimmy Dean sausage. Good luck!
Thank you, this sounds yummy! I heard about them on another thread, then couldn't find the recipe. It sounds like a great treat!
