I do think that the lines for Fantasmic will be long in January. I didn't think so at first and we weren't going to do the Fantasmic dinner package, but then they announced that they were only showing it 2 times a week. Then I figured we needed the package. If you don't want to do the package, just make sure you check the line at about 2 hours before the show. If no one is there, then go back at about 1 1/2 hours prior and check it out again. I would think people would start lining up by then.

Dundeehunter~~When a friend of mine tried to get an ADR for a Fantasmic! package (during the shows of the week of Jan 21-28) there were none available. She called about a month ago. But you could keep trying if that's what you decide you want to do! Oh, and I don't think she tried Brown Derby.

BTW I love the idea of posting menus but it makes me hungry looking at them LOL!! Le Cellier was the one place I couldn't get an ADR so I decided on Teppan Edo instead (I feel bad enough about how many calls I make to the CMs there LOL)

As to the QOTD: The one restaurant I'm really looking forward to eating at is Les Chefs de France. I'm going to people watch during lunch and enjoy the French Sampler ( The Onion soup, The croque monsieur, and the creme brulee). I'm really excited about this restuarant!!!

Well I'm most looking forward to trying 1900 Park Fare. Never been to a princess meal!

But the food I'm most looking forward to is at LeCellier! I'll be getting - New York Strip Steak - with bercy butter, balsamic red onions, watercress, and roasted Yukon potatoes AND Campfire S’mores - Chocolate Graham Crackers and Roasted Marshmallows with Vanilla Ice Cream, AGAIN!!

Well crap, now I'm hungry!!

Peaches, Thank you for sharing about Danny. He and his family are in my prayers.

This makes me bring up a topic my DH and I were discussing a few days back. We were talking about the economy and I asked DH if perhaps I should scale back the trip a little or postpone it. He said no we can not afford to NOT take a great vacation. That a great vacation with wonderful memories is worth it no matter what. See DH lost his dad when he was only 10. DH said that the money sitting in the bank won't bring you happy memories down the road. I love my DH!

The resturant I'm looking to is.....Le Cellier I just can't wait to get some of that yummy pretzel bread and cheese soup! Yum yum drool!

I'm off to run my DS to preschool....

So, so true. Your DH is very wise. And I know I said this a LONG time ago, maybe even on the first thread, but make sure that the whole family is in the pictures. Too often Mom or Dad is the photographer and not in the photos enough! Trade off, or get a DM to take some photos, or get a photopass if you can.

I have to say, after reading the LeCellier menu, now that is the one I am most looking forward to. But I really enjoy eating my way around Epcot! I also am wanting to try the Clam chowder at Columbia Harbor House. Anyone recommend it?
We usually eat CS (or a couple character meals) and have never had the DDP, so we are splurging on a couple of TS meals that I wanted to try. Our last trip was only one day at MK before a Carnival cruise so I'm just glad I get 3 park days this time. Maybe in 2010 I can have a whole week!!

OK I AM GETTING MAD I still can't get a reservation for dinner at LeCellier for the week I am there.... I mean really don't they know I am going to be 40????????? They should not mess with an "old lady" and her dinner plans!!!!!!!!

Hey, steffali, I'll be turning 40 when we're at WDW too! January 1969 was a good month! However...I haven't tried to make any ADRs yet We only need a few, and not for any of the hard-to-get places, so I hope I'm still OK. I just can't figure out our schedule! In my spreadsheet I literally have three different plans--trying to fit in a trip to Blizzard Beach but not sure about the weather. So I don't know when we'll be wanting to eat where.

to more new Snowbirds! Sheree, I'm glad to see another Snowbird staying at Shades of Green! We'll be leaving a few days before you arrive. And I'm trying to figure out when we'll get to take a Disney cruise--that sounds so fun! DH and I took a cruise many years ago (before kids and before the DCL) and loved it.

If you are so inclined, pray for this poor family.
